Mariah made the lyrics of the songs and she had someone called Walter Afanasieff to play her the instruments while she used the lyrics, but Mariah has been writing the lyrics by herself since day 1, of course some people has helped her with some songs, but for example she wrote AIWFCIY, the whole Emotions album and a lot of songs by herself. Oh, and she's so intelligent that some producers say that Mariah tell them which sound use and which samples use. She's a GENIUS.
