Hi there ! I've finally finished the PV. Phew ! Sorry in advance for the incoherences. I tried the best I could to match the song with the universe of Ladybug heh... I hope you like it. Tell me what you think of it, please ! I might consider doing other videos if this one is liked.
I did a little synopsis - but really, you can imagine the story however you want. Most of you have better story ideas than me anyway hehe ! I would be glad to hear some of your ideas.
To build a story that would be to my liking and would match ML's universe, I used different translations from talented people, adding sometimes mine. There are two endings, based on which translation you pick. But I choose the one where the man dies. Because I'm a horrible person and I like suffering. lmao.
Oh also I based myself on a PV (of Miku and Kaito) where they live happily ever after BUT HEY THAT'S TOO SIMPLE. Plus I like angst so I changed the ending c:
I just wanted to notify that in the PV, Marinette doesn't know she'll have to kill Chat Noir (nor Adrien). About the clothes, I was inspired by the 1700s french fashion. Also, as you may have seen, Hawk Moth's mask isn't the same as in the show. For him I was inspired by the executioner masks (1700s).

Indeed, but I suspected Adrien's father was Hawkmoth for a long time, I think.
The story starts with Marinette, a maid who lost her parents and is the holder of the ladybug miraculous . One day she met the prince ,Adrien, he was so kind and handsome that she fell in love with him but she was just a maid and the king wouldn't allow a relationship between them. So she was very heartbroken. Hawk Moth used this chance to akumatize her. Hawk Moth is Adriens father and also the king of this land. He wants the ladybug and cat miraculous to save his wife, the former queen, Emilie and didn't know that Chat Noir was Adrien. He would do anything to save his wife even murder so he gave Marinette the task to kill Chat Noir and she could marry Adrien then. Marinette didn't want to kill Chat Noir but she was Hawk Moths puppet. Marinette danced with Chat Noir and started to like him. Chat Noir thought that the misterious princess was Ladybug his love. Marinette wanted to escape from Hawk Moth but failed and she killed Chat Noir. Chat Noir revealed himself as Adrien and Marinette was devastated. Gabriel(Hawk Moth) sees that he killed Adrien his own son.He holds the miraculous of Chat Noir and Ladybug and wishes Adrien and his wife to be alive again but nothing happened because the miraculous punished him for his actions. Marinette is finally free from Hawk Moth. She cries over Adriens dead body. She sees the knive next to her and takes it. She stabs it in her chest and before dying she makes a wish. She wished that one day Adrien and her could meet again as Ladybug and Chat Noir and finally be together. The miraculous heard the wish and accepted it. Marinette and Adrien were reborn and are the persons who are in the TV show.
This was my interpretation of this song it is not real.

the way Japanese sentences are structured and the way they're usually translated dont necessarily match up. Japanese sentences often will go completely without pronouns, like speaking in a passive voice, and that's the case for those lyrics. So the literal translation is "The dress will be torn", and the natural translation would be more like her saying "My dress will be torn" and him saying "Your dress will be torn" even though the lyrics are identical

Well, if he actually lived through this it could have been a series which I would have pirated.
Actually, Miraculous Ladybug was supposed to be an R-16 anime targeted towards teens and young adults with more action and mature themes surrounding it and had a much more complex plot behind it. Think of how shows like Avatar The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra were anime-inspired shows that was suitable for kids, but atrracted a lot of teens and young adults, and that's how Miraculous was initially developed and marketed as when the pilot was released.

@@Ducks.18 they had a lot of financial problems and shifted from the 2D Bridgette and Felix to 3D formats from different companies, they also made a lot of changes with Felix and had Adrien instead because of the dynamic between the protagonists being seen as not the best. Easier to write 3d cartoons also need less money so all of these, at least in my opinion, is what made them to change it so much. Now that they made some money it would be so nice that parallel with the show we would get more from the original idea

my interpretation of the story is that Marinette was in love with Adrien, who was the prince, and after she is tormented for loving him an believing she has a chance with him, she is akumatized. The deal is that in order to have a great night, feeling like she belonged, she would kill him. Although she nearly refused, the evil power took over her and she waltzed with him all night...then she ends up murdering him and yeah it's like 1 am and my mind is fried
Buuuuuuut it wouldn't make sense. Ladybug/Marinette is known for her "luck" and she knows what happens when you get just an ounce of disappointment/hatred/anger/jealousy/etc so she wouldn't let herself get akumatized. She was also the chosen one to be Ladybug.

Al llegar, buscó al príncipe por todas partes, pero no lo encontraba. Él, que la había visto apenas entró al palacio, se enamoró perdidamente de ella. Al ver que la hermosa doncella parecía desorientada, decidió acercársele.
-Disculpe, Mi Lady, ¿Busca algo? La encuentro algo desorientada.
-¿Eh? Oh, no, señor. Solo buscaba al príncipe. -Le respondió Marinette, sin darse cuenta de que ese hombre, con antifaz negro, era el príncipe.
-Oh, no se preocupe. Seguro ya aparecerá. -Se quitó la máscara y le guiñó un ojo. Luego se la volvió a poner y le hizo una seña de que no dijera nada. -¿Quiere bailar, Mi Lady?
Marinette no se olvidaba de lo que le había prometido al "Hechicero", pero pensó que un poco de diversión no haría daño. Además, era un honor que nunca más iba a poder tener. Así que asintió. Ambos bailaron toda la noche, hasta que el momento estaba por llegar. No faltaba mucho para las doce, y Marinette se negó a matar al príncipe, ya que, aunque no haya querido admitirlo, se había enamorado de él. Entonces, el "Hechicero", que tenía un truco bajo la manga por si el plan no resultaba, la poseyó con la magia de la mariposa e hizo que lo matara. Cuando Marinette se pudo librar de la maldición, ya era muy tarde. El príncipe estaba muerto entre sus brazos. Besó al príncipe, llorando, y luego huyó del palacio antes de que alguien la descubriera. Llegó a su casa y el vestido que ella llevaba volvió a ser un simple delantal gastado. Fue a su habitación y se acostó en su cama, pensando en el príncipe. Finalmente se durmió. La magia del "Hechicero" hizo que en su casa, todo siguiera como si nada, así que al día siguiente, todo siguió su curso con normalidad, excepto ella, que los hechos de aquella noche la atormentaban, y la seguirían atormentando hasta el día de su muerte. Esperemos que algún día, pueda casarse con el príncipe.

I like to think that the Marinette and Adrien that we see in the show are the reincarnated versions of these two and Marinette's love for Adrien had never been extinguished over time. Even though she didn't get the happy ending with her prince charming in this life, she did (hopefully, the ship must sail) now.

So...here's my interpretation of the video. Hawk Moth is someone who maybe wants the throne? Since Adrien would play the role of the 'Prince', Hawk Moth is possibly someone who wants to steal it from him, and for that to happen, he would need his death.
Marinette is just a maid who dreams of being rich and having enough money to do what she wants. She hears of the ball, and desperately wants to go, but as she is a maid she couldn't get invited. Plus, she doesn't even have a dress to wear! She feels desperate and lonely. At this Hawk Moth sees, and decides that this is his chance. He approaches Marinette, akumatizing her. Hawk Moth tells her that he will let her go to the ball if she does something for him.
Hawk Moth tells her that the man with a cat mask is the one that she must kill. He gives her a beautiful dress, and a mask for the ball. He tells her to go by the name 'Ladybug' to be allowed into the ball. She accepts his terms, and makes her way to the ball. She brings a knife with her, hiding it in the folds of her dress. When she finds herself there, she looks for Chat Noir/Adrien. When she finds him, she begins to flirt with him in an attempt to gain his trust. They dance throughout the night, and Marinette finds herself enjoying herself greatly. But in the midst of it, she sees Hawk Moth, and he reminds her of what she has to do.
Though inside of her, she doesn't want to kill him - she's found herself in love with him and he feels the same. However, she glances at her glass shoes and knows that Hawk Moth has done her a great favor and that she must obey him. Instead of listening to her heart, Marinette is forced to listen to Hawk Moth. She is able to lure Chat Noir/Adrien away, and begins to fight with herself. She doesn't want to kill him, and she is hurt. But her hands seem to move by themselves, and she takes out her knife.
Distracting him by holding him close, Marinette stabs him. As she realizes what she's done, Marinette is overcome with emotion and cries with him as Adrien dies. However, since he loves her so much, Adrien is able to forgive her in his final moments, trying to comfort her as he dies. He reveals himself at this point, and Marinette feels horrified with what she's done until Hawk Moth is able to communicate with her once more, letting her know to take his ring as he has accomplished what he needs. Marinette, feeling desperate and lonely once more, loses control of herself and stays as one of Hawk Moth's minions.

Also, the song itself is based on the story Cinderella/Cendrillon so the original characters are really the Prince and Cinderella. Pretty sure we all understand this song wasn't especially made for this, the person is only trying to explain what's happening in this video. Sorry if I sound angry, I didn't intend to, I just wanted to clear things up.
