Brother! dont misguide people about the Sost protest with Sost people..1). All people of Gilgit-Baltistan can travel up to Kashghar using pass, which was before allowed until Uremqi, while Chinese cant travel using border pass. 2) Sost is only a border area where custom clearance is done, and strike was about the illegal taxes, which was canceled by GB cheif court, but govt was still taking this, which finally settled and border open. and people who were on strike were traders from GB while Sost people are less. 3) Many of the people here doing carry business to earn some money, which was allowed before and now its not being allowed, and i think its a good move. 4). This border opens 9 months, and only 4 months (June to Sep) mostly passport holders ( mostly students) travel, while border pass holders travel throughout the the opened season. 5) passport holders ( including me) are using this route recently, while border pass is being used since 1980s.
