The first time I watched The goblet of fire, I was seeing it with my father. He was so moved by the acting of Cedric's father, that he told me looking into my eyes, that If I died before him, something will be everly broken in him. We cried a little and we hugged. I really miss my dad, this movies reminds me a lot of my pa.
Out of all the books/movies in the franchise, this one made me sympathize with Harry the most. I saw this as a big emotional breakdown, he had to endure so much pressure that year.
Jeff Rawle's performance is hauntingly believable. He made this short scene not merely the saddest moment in the film or even the series, but one of the most heart wrenching moments in all cinema.
The way his hand hovers over his chest as he's falling back barely held up by Dumbledore, then reaches out to grab something that isn't there And there's no dramatic, clear "Noooo" like you might expect to hear, just wails of agony and disbelief. A hauntingly terrible thing to watch, and a legendary performance of a lifetime
The saddest part is how happy everyone is at first. Even Cedric’s dad is cheering. And then he realizes and suddenly he’s screaming in absolute gut wrenching pain that he just lost his only son and can’t even begin to understand how or why.
Cedric's dad, amos didn't know that his poor son was murdered by the dark lord, Voldemort. Harry, the famous Harry Potter was the only person who knew this as he witnessed cedric's tragic death.
It's probably because she saw Harry crying, knows he wouldn't cry over something small, and then saw Cedric wasn't moving a muscle, with his eyes staring into space. So with that she worked that Cedric was dead.
@@lupitaortizmartinez2997 So translating your comments to English you said "you know what the girl with brown hair is called" and "do you want to be my boyfriend". What the fuck?
Hearing Cedric's father yell "that's my boy..." weeping over his son's death is actually the saddest thing in these movies to me, I'm serious. The movie as a whole is not the best but Cedric's father weeping about losing his son, makes me cry every time. It should have been a bit longer, let it sink in. Let the pain of Cedric's death sink in and it could have been amazing.
Why do people think this is over-acted? I mean would you have preferred Amos and Harry to just be all chill about it or sit there in silent shock for a few minutes? Amos just lost his SON in a horrific, out of nowhere way. Harry just barely escaped being murdered, watched Cedric die, and probably actually is in shock. This was probably one of my favorite scenes.
And people think that Harry shouldn't have been in such a foul mood throughout his 5th year. Hello, did we read or watch the same series? Harry is already having his emotions controlled by his connection with Voldemort, he's being persecuted by the Wizarding World, and not to mention getting tortured by Umbridge. Oh and he's still having to put up with the Dursleys.
I like how it's fleur and dumbledore who both realise first that something is wrong, and then hagrid clapping and stopping. It's the subtle actions of the other actors that really make this scene
Goblet of fire is for sure the best directed film out of all of the movies I wonder how it would have been if they keep the same director for the rest of them
For me this has always been the saddest scene in the entire series. The complete change from joy and celebration to everyone being stunned at what happened, and the proud father crying at the loss of his son... I know a lot of you think it's over acted or whatever, but man it just gets me every time
Whatever criticisms we have over this movie, no one can argue with Jeff Rawle's performance as Amos Diggory. It's such a minor character, but this scene hits *so hard.* Even all these years later, it's still such a raw reaction to the indescribable pain of losing a child. They are your whole world, and no one embodied that more than Uber Proud Dad Amos Diggory. This remains one of the only scenes they got absolutely perfect.
Both actors did a a great job making chemistry despite haven’t not many scenes together, it really was a dang good job for them and to do that and the director too I really think this was the best directed potter movie for sure
Cedric Diggory: he first of many heatfelt casualties that didn’t deserve to die in a war that could no longer be delayed nor denied. Even the Ministry ultimately concedes the truth in the next film.
From friendly and helping each other out with tasks, to a strong dislike for cedric stealing his crush even though harry knew it wasn't cedrics fault. To a positive rivalry and then comradery in fighting together in the maze. They were competitive friends going through some tough as trials together, and at the end of it all they were telling each other to go ahead and win cause the other deserved it, but they agreed to just win together instead. It was a deep bond indeed and Cedric would've kicked some ass in the fight against evil had he not been taken by surpise... RIP. But poor Amos this scene always moves me.
Fleur was the first in the crowd to know something was horribly wrong when she noticed Cedric’s corpse with a heartbroken and severely traumatized Harry clinging to it.
One of the saddest parts of this scene was Amos' (Cedric's dad) scream. Just all that grief and distraught in that cry, it hits the heart like a battering ram.
No kidding, Jeff Rawle does a phenomenal job of portraying Amos Diggory's grief. His pained cries are absolutely heartbreaking, and absolutely perfect.
The shot of Amos Diggory's viewpoint when running through the students and seeing Cedric's white and vacant face ... this scene was superbly shot and acted.
Rewatching this as an adult and the only thing I can think is... that's a... *child*. They're children... Look at how small Harry is in the scene he refuses to let go of Cedric. He's just a boy and he has the world on his shoulders...
Yes… it’s like I can understand now that I’m adult how terrifying and unfair this is Cedric was having the time of his life that year and died an unnecessary way SO cruel
The girl in front of her ( don't know the actresses name ) facial expressions once she realised Cedric was dead were heartbreaking , she looked like she wanted to cry scream and faint at the same time . The horror on her face was chilling
My sister said she didn't cry over this scene in the book, but she cried in the movie because of the way this scene was shot and acted. All the actors did amazing portraying shock, horror and/or grief in this scene.
Literally this one moment changed the entire story. This moment forced us to realize that this story is no longer about funny school adventures and kids playing a game of quittitch. It takes the light of the story and blinds us with it. Wow this is beautiful
It’s the first moment where young innocent blood gets spilled - The moment that you realize that from that point on, whatever price is exacted is high. From that point on until the final scene of the final movie, the narrative tone and cinematography of the series become that much more dire and desaturated.
Don't get me wrong, Amos Diggory's anguished cries are gut wrenching and the whole scene is very well done. But I don't think enough credit is done to that one shot of Hagrid applauding, only to stop and stand up as he realizes that something is horribly wrong. It really hits hard
albus holding his shoulder always got me, something about the most powerful wizard alive kneeling there consoling his friend in front of all the students is just beautiful
Harry comes back looking very evidently awfully traumatized, crying and refusing to let go of Cedric...and the ministry and fudge proceeds to deny the obvious trauma he's gone through for a subsequent year
Fleur was the first to realize something was wrong. People honestly don't give her enough credit. She was smart, beautiful, and by all accounts, fairly clever.
I absolutely hate how after someone's death, that person is just a 'body.' My worst fear, more than dying, is being called 'body' after struggling to live my whole life.
I think people's comments about his acting being bad here are laughable. The kid is bawling his eyes out for this scene and doing his best. Personally I think it's a pretty good, well done scene. He had a total range of action/emotion happen to him, so he had to put together a really devastated Harry Potter here. He watched his friend get murdered, watched Voldemort return to power, as well as had to fight him & nearly died himself. I'd say Dan nailed it. It was emotionally heartwrenching.
Yes, it's brilliant actually. Harry was still fighting to keep Diggory's body safe, he didn't know Dumbledore was there until he saw him. Whether this was planned by Radcliffe or captured by the director, it was a very smooth and natural, albeit jarring, scene.
The man screaming "my boy!!" I only feel that with pikmin. But i feel its Strikingly close to how much a parent cares. Not my boy or girl. Never a parent should hold their lifeless child.
That moment when Fleur realized what happened. Her scream. Very sad scene. Harry's reaction is heartbreaking. Father's reaction was so sad. He lost his son. Snape and McGonagall looked concerned. Apparently it was Snape putting cape over Cedric's body. So that could explain why he didn't have his cape in next scene.
At least Professor Snape showed respect for Cedric Diggory in death by covering the body with his cape. Praise Merlin that Fleur had Madam Maxime with her.
Oh my god, I forgot how heartwrenching this scene was. Think about how Harry feels, he saw Cedric get killed , he just got his arm cut open, he witnessed Voldemort returning and had to fight him. It was all so overwhelming for him and when he got back to Hogwarts he was crying, weak, pale and terrified. Imagine feeling all that in the space of just 20 minutes
And to make it worse Fudge refused to believe Voldemort returned and made Harry and Dumbledore look like crazy liars in the eyes of most of the wizarding world.
@@BillCipher200 It's no wonder Harry is the way he is in Order of the Phoenix. I'd be pretty pissed off all the time too if I kept being accused of lying about a very traumatic experience
Dumbledore was like a true grandfather figure to harry in this scene. That comfort of his palms, that caring eyes, and soothing yet stern voice.... Reminds me of my grandfather.
If you look carefully in this scene, you realize that Snape gave his cloak for Cedric's body to be wrapped in. First of all, Snape obviously rushes up there as you can clearly see. But during the shot of Cedric's father running up to the body, you can almost see something dark covering the body that wasn’t there moments before. Then at 1:03, you can see the father making a movement with his hands as if uncovering Cedric's face and you can catch a glimpse of something black up to his chin. If that doesn't convince you, take a look at the scene DIRECTLY after this one where “Moody” is revealed to be Barty Crouch Jr -- Snape isn't wearing his cloak. And that happens literally right after this, so it's not like Snape would have had time for a wardrobe change.
Every time I watch this scene, I always love seeing seeing the subtle moments of Snape as he enters the scene, with his hand on Albus' back, and his general concern, etc. Not that I am insensitive the scene itself, because watching everyone slowly realise what is happening, is heartbreaking. But Snape in this scene interests me the most. And kuddos for pointing out the cloak thing, because I didn't even notice, despite having watched this multiple times. Just adds to my already growing reasons why I respect the character throughout this series. It's nice to see this side to Snape, even if these moments are rare.
Michelle Linardis I couldn’t agree more! Basically in any scene he is in (book or movie) there are so many small details one can miss out on that mean so much. Even though this scene is most definitely about Cedric, no one really gives Snape enough credit..
@@melatonin0_0 It really is amazing as to the endless little easter eggs one can find in this series. Absolutely mind-blowing. Even after all this time (😉)! This scene in particular makes me wonder whose idea it was to have Snapes cloak be used to wrap Cedric - Alan or J.K. Rowling.
Michelle Linardis Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Alan though, because it’s amazing how much he understood his character and knew his thought process and what he would do. And I know most people always say the books are so much better, which I do agree with, but it’s little details like these that can really only be portrayed by film that really help me have an appreciation for the movies alongside the books. Because really, Snape is the same Snape in both the books and the movies, but you just are able to see more things in the movies (like facial expressions and actions that Harry wouldn’t necessarily notice or care about) that portray so much more of Snape’s as well as everyone else’s character :) Haha sorry didn’t mean to go on a rant there
@@melatonin0_0 It is a nice thought, if it was Alan who thought of it. And you are absolutely right, and I agree with you. He understood his character, especially as JK has given him those crucial pieces of information he needed to fully portray this iconic character. Severus with books vs films do have a slightly different version that is portrayed, but it is the same man essentially. Sure he was more bitter and snarky in the books, but having scene Alan's portrayal in the films, gives the character a new 'softer' perspective (and because Alan is damn brilliant at those subtle expressions). I know there is a 'great Snape debate' out there. Every person has both a light and dark side. Sure, he wasn't the most pleasant man. He treated people poorly, even Harry. But he wasn't careless, and he did have good intentions, even though he made so many bad decisions in his life that created this ripple effect. What he did for all those years, were brave AF. It's heartbreaking that no one really knew his loyalties until it was too late 💔
As a person who lost someone incredibly close to me, right in front of my eyes: Count yourself lucky if you think this is overacting. The horrid, horrid dread from realizing what has just happened is immeasurable. I applaud this actor.
He reacting to the death of his son. It’s not overacting, I’d say that’s a bit of parenting coming through in the acting. No parent wants to live to see their children die before they do.
If anyone says this is overacting, they can go shut themselves in a wooden box with rose thorns up their arse and listening to Philip Glass's _Akhnaten_ for 36 hours straight.
Once I witnessed my toddler son having an accident (some wooden doors that piled leanibg against the wall fell on top of him) and at the same time the windowed doors of the room were jammed in a way i couldnt get to him. I screamed like I never had and started running and trying to find a way to get to him. I was screaming and pulling the doors open like a maniac. The desperation was something out of this world. And that is also the moment I knew that I would absolutely die for him without any hesitation. Luckily and by a miracle the little guy suddenly crawled away from under all of those heavy doors and didnt have a scratch on him. And the cold sinking feeling in my guts stayed for a long time and I just couldnt bare the thought of not having him anymore. Overacting in this scene? Definately NOT.
This scene is very special to me. You'll even notice that as soon as Snape hears that "a boy has been killed" he goes and checks to make sure it wasn't Harry.
It still gets me that thru the whole series snape was the one protecting Harry because of the love he had for his mother! His character was so well done by making people believe he despised Harry. When it was actually the opposite.
@@tammye7299 To be more specific, to Snape, Harry was a living shrine to Lilly, unfortunately shaped like her husband. Something that had to be tended to and maintained, but also couldn't help but be a reminder of failure.
@@tammye7299if you only saw the movies, it gives that impression. But in the books, every fact pointed that Snape actually despised Harry. He was a big bully to him and Neville, far beyond to be considered only strict and despicable. He tries to have Nevillw's frog poisoned and tried to get Harry expelled for helping Sirius. And when his whole backstory was revealed, we discover that he asked Voldemort to kill James and Harry and only spare Lily. Despite his love for Lily, he never really cared about Harry beyond keeping his promise to Dumbledore and honouring Lily's memory.
@@quimeyvarela7205 Now that boils my blood, why would they change it! I'm over here glorifying snape! I hate when they move away from the actual story line!
When the crowd starts cheering I get such chills. Like the crowd was just sitting there and they thought everything was going well when in reality Harry was fighting for his life. It reminds me of when my school had an ugly sweater contest while the Sandy Hook thing happened and we had no idea. Tragic things are happening no matter how happy you are
Wow. I remember the Friday at school where everything was feeling normal until I got home and Mum said "There's a shooting in Christchurch!" and sure enough when they TV was turned on a live report on the news was on about the Christchurch Mosque Terrorist attacks. I will never forget my country's darkest day.
I remember one time my dad took me and my brother to play pool for the first time. We were having a lot of fun and in the middle of the game dad's phone rings and doctor tells him grandpa has died half an hour ago.
My dad was in the middle of a meeting which they were celebrating how they'd just got a load of new members and you know what the date was? 11 September 2001 and little did they know
0:05 When Harry breaks down finally. He saw Cedric die a while ago, but is only JUST now falling apart. He didn't have time to mourn Cedric, immediately after he was murdered he then had to fight for his life against the darkest wizard in history. He didn't fall apart because he's had to fight for his life so many times by now. He was focused on the fight and could only afford to cry AFTER he made it to safety. Just the rush of trauma when the adrenaline wears off. Watching Cedric die, being bled for the sacrifice, being tortured and almost killed by Voldemort, speaking to his parents (that he never met) for the first time in his life, and then running for his life. The sheer horror he suffered in mere minutes finally catching up to him once the adrenaline wears off.
Reminds me of in the 5th movie after the Weasley twins set off the fireworks and everyone is cheering. Then, Harry collapses as he has a vision of Voldemort torturing Sirius.
It's weird because Barty captured Moody's personality and behaviors (except the tongue-licking) so well, they're practically unmistakable when compared.
I mean... if you're going to fake someone's identity, you have to match their personality *to a tee.* We all know how Harry and Ron nearly blew their cover in _Chamber of Secrets_ by taking offence to Draco's rude remarks.
To this day, everytime I revisit one of these clips or re-read the book I can't get over his death, So young and that moment from celebration to pure horror and sadness. I wanted him to win and be happy so bad, Rest in Peace Cedric. You have made Hufflepuff5 and so many others proud
It was perfectly adapted from the book because the significant role Cedric played in the book. Harry has a team player personality despite his common traits amongst Tom Riddle. If he wasn't, he wouldn't of saved Cedric's life in the maze and both grab the trophy together. Harry was just sad because he lost a good friend that supported his trials during the tournament. The grief really set in during that summer in the Order of the Pheonix. He felt responsible to the degree that it was his fault he died. He knew he couldn't change but his remorse during that time immense. On top of that none believed him from the Ministry that Voldemort was back.
Jared Broughton well similar events to this video happened to my transformers OC when he was in an last before competition he finally could become an soldier (more specifically, a wrecker) but that loss of an opponent (that he grew to like as a friend and rival) got killed and that would be the first death he would go through. Now he is commander of the wreckers and Rodimus prime’s second in command (these events takes place in the future where Rodimus is *really* old and becomes an advisor for the young prime after Rodimus)
And because he saved Wormtail's life a year prior and realized that Voldemort's rejuvenation and Cedric's passing most likely would not have unfolded had Remus and Sirius killed Peter then and there.
In terms of depicting shocking grief, this scene is one of the most accurate that I've seen, not just in Harry Potter, but in movies in general. Of course, I can't speak for anybody else, but I find this painfully relatable to my own experience of this kind of loss. Upon seeing my loved one's body, my legs collapsed from under me and I basically ended up just like Amos in this scene. I know grief is very individual, so others might have different reactions, experiences and views, but at least for me this hit really close to home in all the right ways. Jeff Rawle's acting is incredible, and I also have to say that Mike Newell's direction is brilliant. It's simply a great scene.
It’s not accurate for a Brit though. This is a very American show of emotion. Coming from someone who watched a love one die unexpectedly with multiple other people in the room
What about lord of the rings I think it's the last one I can't remember the names but they are siblings and the war is over but the brother sees his sister lifeless body and just let's out a heart wrenching scream as he runs to her than collapses and holds her in his arms as he sobs that and this scene is a tie I'd say I always get chills
Snape's face when the Minister mentioned that "a boy's been killed." The different emotions that is displayed on the cast faces are really good, they sold this scene.
Everyone's not crying. I see Harry, Cho and Amos Diggery crying. Everyone is rather shocked and emotional because it's a death of a student who went to the same school as them all. I clearly recall Harry, Hermione, and Luna in particular being shown crying over Dumbledore's death and I believe others did too. It's been a long time since I watched the movie, so I'd have to see it.
God that acting of Cedric’s dad is excellent. Truly sounds like the hysterical crys that one would only hear from a parent grieving their child. Difficult to listen to.
1:32 The part which got me in the feels the most is your can hear Harry's cries as he walks away, and everybody is so quiet. Its truly a stunning scene, acted beautifully
This is a really powerful scene, hearing how his father cries for his son is heartbreaking, that's a real actor. He was able to make us feel how hard would be to lost a son
This is actually not only the darkest scene in the series but probably the darkest scene in any PG13 movie ever. Everyone cheering and the band playing not knowing that Cedrics dead. His father in the audience cheering and clapping with harry slumped over him.
It was the first scene in Harry Potter that made me cry. Seeing Cedric's father so happy to see his son back, only to realise that he's dead a few moments later. This shit broke my heart, for real
I saw a comment on a tik tok pointing out that draco was sort of the first person that realized Cedric was dead bc he didn’t clap and then quickly stood up. It’s at the very beginning, he’s sitting behind Arthur weasley 0:02
As a kid, I never understood why Fleur started screaming since it was already clear she lost. But I just realized, it’s because she sees Cedric’s lifeless body and is horrified What incredible acting by everybody in this scene. This scene always stayed with me.
when I was little I always assumed that she was jealous that Harry and Cedric had won, and hadn't noticed Cedric was dead yet. Rewatching it, I think you're right about her being the first to notice.
I’ll never forget watching this in the cinema. The father’s screaming completely changed the aura of the theatre for the rest of the film. Not a single word was said when everyone walked out. Was like a real funeral. This is why I love film
The thing is, they weren’t all that close. But Harry knew how good and genuine of a person Cedric was and he had just seen his life snuffed out before his eyes. Notice Harry won’t even let Dumbledore pull him away from Cedric. Dumbledore, who he knows is the person he needs to tell more than anyone else in the world what has happened, but damned if Dumbledore is going to get him away from Cedric. Harry has to make sure Cedric is safe, Cedric asked him from beyond the grave to make sure his body is given back to Amos and Harry is NOT letting go of Cedric until Amos is there. He won’t let Cedric down. He’s also extremely traumatised and he’s clinging to Cedric’s body as a trauma response because even though Cedric’s body is in no way comfort for Harry in this moment, he knows Cedric is very much dead, but despite his own extreme trauma, Harry will see out his duty to Cedric. Only when Amos arrives does Harry allow Cedric’s father to move his wand hand off his body while they both wail in grief. They weren’t close friends, but Harry respected Cedric and he was going to fulfil Cedric’s last request to the letter, Voldemort AND Dumbledore be damned.
When Harry refused to stop hugging Cedric I started crying. It's not even 30 seconds in...

The way his hand hovers over his chest as he's falling back barely held up by Dumbledore, then reaches out to grab something that isn't there
And there's no dramatic, clear "Noooo" like you might expect to hear, just wails of agony and disbelief.
No one realized except Harry, which is what makes it so upset but over time you see dumbledore and hagrid get concerned, and I cried it was so sad

Snape's death hits harder
From friendly and helping each other out with tasks, to a strong dislike for cedric stealing his crush even though harry knew it wasn't cedrics fault. To a positive rivalry and then comradery in fighting together in the maze. They were competitive friends going through some tough as trials together, and at the end of it all they were telling each other to go ahead and win cause the other deserved it, but they agreed to just win together instead. That moment when Fleur realized what happened. Her scream. Very sad scene. Harry's reaction is heartbreaking. Father's reaction was so sad. He lost his son. Snape and McGonagall looked concerned.

Dumbledore was like a true grandfather figure to harry in this scene. That comfort of his palms, that caring eyes, and soothing yet stern voice.... Reminds me of my grandfather.
And me of my school teacher. The same comforting presence, stern aura, but deep care for his students , even introvert students such as myself.
Because really, Snape is the same Snape in both the books and the movies, but you just are able to see more things in the movies (like facial expressions and actions that Harry wouldn’t necessarily notice or care about) that portray so much more of Snape’s as well as everyone else’s character :)
Haha sorry didn’t mean to go on a rant there
@@melatonin0_0 It is a nice thought, if it was Alan who thought of it.
The only overacting is from Radcliffe
I’ve never heard anyone say otherwise.
No need to make everything about you. Everyone has probably seen death in their life/will. Jesus people. Don’t you get enough attention at home.

He could change it using Hermione Time travel pendant, even in Cursed Child they use that
Fikri Juanda and how’d that turn out?
Jared Broughton well similar events to this video happened to my transformers OC when he was in an last before competition he finally could become an soldier (more specifically, a wrecker) but that loss of an opponent (that he grew to like as a friend and rival) got killed and that would be the first death he would go through. Now he is commander of the wreckers and Rodimus prime’s second in command (these events takes place in the future where Rodimus is *really* old and becomes an advisor for the young prime after Rodimus)

I am sorry, I hope you are well
There's a reason I can never watch Hereditary again. The realism of the grief in that movie was bone chilling. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Another wonderful depiction of loss of a loved one is Annie in Hereditary, it made my mother cry from how real it was
It’s not accurate for a Brit though.

Sheesh the adult casting for these films was ON POINT
I actually started crying when cedrics father found out about his son dead
I also think it's funny when a father cat loses his kitten son.

The part which got me in the feels the most is your can hear Harry's cries as he walks away, and everybody is so quiet. Its truly a stunning scene, acted beautifully
uhm, thats 100% Amos Diggory crying
@@maddinpictures3102 ye
“That’s my son! That’s my boy” is the most heartbreaking line in this scene
I was crying at the death of Cedric Diggory
same
the first real loss in the series
Fallen Angel206 I cried when I read the book.. Cedric was nice..
Fallen Angel206 i laugh
Same it is sad
Weren't we all
"That's my son, Thats my boy!" will always break my heart
This is a really powerful scene, hearing how his father cries for his son is heartbreaking, that's a real actor. He was able to make us feel how hard would be to lost a son
You’d think the guy who played Cedrics dad was his real dad. Absolutely phenomenal acting. Love/hate this scene so much
This is actually not only the darkest scene in the series but probably the darkest scene in any PG13 movie ever. Everyone cheering and the band playing not knowing that Cedrics dead. His father in the audience cheering and clapping with harry slumped over him.
It goes from happy to dark instantly when fleur screams.
The Lord of the Rings also had some pretty dark scenes - including the catapulting of human heads by Mordor Orcs against the soldiers of Gondor.
Revenge of the sith had a man brutally burning alive on screen, same year coincidentally
😭
He didn't clap because he hates Harry lmao
The part where harry refuses to get off Cedric
No one expected that cedric would be back as batman
Cedric's dad makes my eyes well up every time :[
As a kid, I never understood why Fleur started screaming since it was already clear she lost. But I just realized, it’s because she sees Cedric’s lifeless body and is horrified
What incredible acting by everybody in this scene. This scene always stayed with me.
when I was little I always assumed that she was jealous that Harry and Cedric had won, and hadn't noticed Cedric was dead yet. Rewatching it, I think you're right about her being the first to notice.
Dumbass kid then
This scene is so well done. The actor that played Cedric’s dad did an amazing job. I always tear up when I watch this scene because of him.
this is probably one of the saddest scenes in harry potter
@Felipe Gomes what
The most sad scene.*** what a weird comment of u anyway.. this is prob one of the saddest scenes... yaa like ya so? r u sure about that?
@Felipe Gomes oh, so seeing someone dying, and his father crying on him, is funny. Yes, diffenetly funny
@Felipe Gomes yeah really funny seeing a father crying over his death son's body
@@namee466 ignore him. He just is #notlikeotherboys and dark humour is #funny and if you dont understand it you're a #loser 😂😂
0:58 THAT’S MY SON!, HE’S MY BOY!
😔😭
MY BOY😢
Lex luthor i fucking hate you!
His son will be avenged, Voldemort and his pathetic goons will suffer worse than he did!
I’ll never forget watching this in the cinema. The father’s screaming completely changed the aura of the theatre for the rest of the film. Not a single word was said when everyone walked out. Was like a real funeral. This is why I love film
Cedric's dad looks like Ben Franklin.
Very true
i honestly thought of that too lol
And Steve Irwin
That whaling of Arnos(Cedric's dad) is honestly the most heart breaking cry I've ever heard. Just the sound of someone truly broken.
The acting on Jeff Rawles part was absolutely phenomenal. He really looked like a dad who was beside himself with grief.
0:21 made me cry. I loved how Harry wouldn't let go just proves how good of a friendship they had. Too sad 😭 but how else could then do it
The thing is, they weren’t all that close.
