Going for covid tests before her surgery

- As part of the covid protocol at hospital Elin and I have to get tested for covid before her scheduled operation. We went to the hospital's drive-thru covid test centre.
I'm a special needs mum vlogger in the UK with two daughters, one of whom is severely disabled. Elin is a girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she has a feeding tube, is a wheelchair user and as she can't use the toilet independently she is in a nappy / diaper.
Apart from cerebral palsy, Elin has complex medical needs and seizure disorder. She has tonic clonic, or grand mal seizures, partial focal seizures and absence seizures. She is on multiple medications every day, for her spastic muscles, for her reflux disorder and for her epilepsy. Elin is on a blended diet, which we give her through her feeding tube, and I share tips, how to and recipes.
On this channel I share our day to day life, our morning, feeding, medication and bedtime routines, feeding techniques, how Elin communicates, etc. I also showcase the relationship between Elin and her sister Alice, and how they play and interact with each other.

Her little jump at the beginning when you shut the door was so cute haha
good luck Elin we all love you ❤️
I wish you luck, Elin.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Calum
For future reference, if you ever notice me in the comments (fun thing about smaller channels), Sophie is the little girl I take care of (I’m going into special needs education next year!). She is 8 and has quadriplegic spastic CP, but she is a ray of sunshine and me and her mom (i showed her your channel!) see so much of her in Elin and find your videos very interesting and entertaining. ❤️
Amazing 👏🏻. Say hi to Sophie from Elin, she always loves finding kindred spirits.
@@ParentXP will do ❤️
Your singing s great .your a great mum
Thank you.
Hope the test results come back quick enough for the surgery and they are not positive sending my love to you both
Negative and back on time, thankfully.
Good luck today. Hope everything goes well.
Thank you 😊
“Hey, brum brum!” 😆 that’s totally our little Sophie’s mood when she hears the word car 😂
Also, advantage of no feeding tube: no feeding tube
Disadvantage: refuses to drink any water no matter the temperature
Oh my god, Elin does that too. Oh, I'm a little hot and uncomfortable, I know, I'll refuse to eat and drink 🤦🏼♀️
its nice there cambridge i have been there when i was younger
In love with both of you ❤

Hey I am not trying to be rude here but her little jump is so cute and when she take her swab did she cry or not.
She didn't cry, she was very brave.
I’m glad the testing went well. I hope they’re negative. Holiday traffic is a nightmare here too.
Yup, negative. And we've been tested again yesterday 🙄
God bless!..I have to catch up with you guys...please forgive me!...I have my girl in an emergency situation for second back surgery myself!...good luck!..and all the best my loves!...sweethearts!....🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💖
You're forgiven, Colleen! How is she doing, emergency and surgery are not two words we like used in the same sentence 😣
@@ParentXP yes!...it’s been a horrific nightmare...surgery was not done correctly at first children’s hospital...one bracket exited her backside to which caused bone infection..I have been fighting to get into Toronto Sick kids hospital...an hour away but the best...now second bracket exiting out the other side...the bone did not fuse right and he left out stabilizer screws to boot...they are moving fast after a long battle from momma bear!!...now the Toronto hospital is going to redo it!..I’m so sick inside!...she has been suffering for so long!...major lawsuit I hope!...more to the gruesome story...but don’t want you to think that of your situation...going to try and catch up on your story!...love yas!🙏🙏💖💖
That is absolutely shocking, yes get some legal involved! Surgery is quite a big deal on people who haven't got broken central nervous systems. On our kiddos it's a real rough ride. Having to go through the same op twice because the first surgeon botched it is beyond infuriating!
I have one of those stories too, yet to get legal involved but I ought to... It's from a few years ago.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can you say something more about her wheelchair?
I can do a vlog about her chair. What kinds of things would you like to know?
@@ParentXP I think a video about a wheelchair is a great idea
