- US congressman Billy Long broke into an auction chant on Wednesday to drown out a protester who was interrupting a House energy and commerce committee hearing on social media.
The protester, later identified as conservative activist Laura Loomer, stood and interrupted the hearing with complaints against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
Long, a Republican from Missouri, pretended to auction off a phone, drowning out her arguments as she was escorted out of the room.
According to Long's biography on the House of Representatives website, he has been an auctioneer for over 30 years and has been inducted into the Missouri Professional Auctioneers' Hall of Fame.

No matter your politics, whether you agree with her or not I think EVERYBODY could laugh at that. Probably the best moment of unity in the whole process.

You are the misleading one.
The title is absolutely accurate. She was a conservative protester and he drowned her out. The title makes no claim about any reason, aside from stating the obvious facts.

Jack Dorsey is the one that should of been auctioned OUT. TWITTER is banning only subscribers with a Conservative political stance. If TWITTER continues this behavior they should be BOOTED OFF THE INTERNET. FACEBOOK is attempting to do the same thing---give them the BOOT also. Congress should be looking in to HOW these entities are stifling FREE SPEECH!!
Actually that's not true. I have seen several people banned or suspended who were on the left, resistance, opposition side.
We have a right to protest anything..
