We go through a bunch of books including Orwell's Dystopian masterpiece, Farley Mowat's best children's novel, Augustine's Confessions, a classic in feminist literature by Mary Wollstonecraft, three Paper Mill Press classics, Carl von Clausewitz's military strategist book On War, a classic in Prairie literature from the New Canadian Library and others. We talk about albums from Billy Joel, Genesis, Bruce Springsteen, The Cars and get into a discussion about the greatest female rock singer in history and her band The Headpins. Lastly we review films from Disney, Danny Boyle, Roberto Rossellini, Tony Scott, The Coen Brothers, and a great documentary DVD on one of Canada's greatest bands Rush. It should be lots of fun.
