Teams will refer permission seekers to the NFL, that is what they pay the NFL to do is handle that side of the business for all teams.

I’m someone who stopped watching most sports shows because of the horrible analysts, boring and repetitive content, bad hosts, etc.. Pat’s show has got me watching again and it’s been a breath of fresh air. There are tons of people like me. Then there are people who are learning about the game from Pat and crew. Then there are people who didn’t know how much they needed something new and different until they got it. Now we’re going to support and follow Pat’s show even harder.

The suits do not have the brain capacity to understand what decisions like this do to their brand in the long haul. Look at how HBO lost almost a billion because they wanted to save like $200million, or how netflix is destroying their company because they cracked down on account sharing and kept canceling shows because it didnt hit their arbitrary numbers.

Met you at training camp three times. I was wearing the button down Superbowl shirt with horseshoes all over that we had short conversation about. I appreciate how you have used your platform to defend my favorite team and new coach. Personally i feel like there is only one owner of the team its not owned by fans or city like Green Bay there is no board or committee of owners. That being said if the one sole owner of the team wants to hire a friend of more than twenty years because he has a boatload of respect for him and wishes to see him succeed with a decent career opportunity then its his prerogative to do so. This is America and in America every day business owners hire their family and friends because they want to see them succeed. Ive noticed many of the critics of this move come from teams who have had a bit of rivalry in the past. Noticed former offensive lineman Cleveland had a problem with the hire. A few years back didnt Cleveland come to joint practice at training camp and didnt some of their players get a bit mouthy with some Colts players or to media about the Colts and even a fight broke out? Then we have a former coach of Pittsburgh. Lets think about the times in past Indianapolis with new coach as starting center in those days faced Pittsburgh in playoffs. I see a pattern with this being players and coaches of rivalry teams seem to be the ones speaking out. I wonder what the opinion of this hire was around New England locker room. Id say names but not sure if that would get you in some type of trouble. Hard to tell these days. Just wanted to thank you for using your platform to defend my favorite team I dont see anything wrong with what you're doing but to those who take the hire out of context and turn it into a racial issue they are sewing seeds of division anger and outrage within the NFL community based on false accusations lacking facts or evidence. Ive seen riot start from less than the false accusations that the critics of the hire are making they need to watch what falls out of their mouth and they need to quit stirring the pot. They are the ones doing something wrong for the sake of ratings, clickbait and trying to look and sound like a hero because they are standing up for something but heros dont make false accusations stir up division and hate at a time when hasnt been long since political climate produced a year full of riots. So they would stir things up intentionally for the opportunity to be seen and heard and relevant again. There are enough noble or just causes in this country to stand up for without having to make false negative statements about what really should be a positive thing a friend looking out for a friend. As far as the other coaches on this staff having been disrespected i dont buy that they all feel that way i dont believe it havent heard that come from any of their mouths. What the critics of the hire failed to realize is their had been plenty of upheaval and position changes on this team maybe Owner wanted to keep those coaches in the positions they are currently in could be that he likes the job special teams coach, defensive coordinator and position coaches have done and doest want to shake up any of those coaching posistions. Amazing that media didnt make the assumption im speaking of which i would consider more positive and instead jumped all over the most negative assumptions that their uncreative minds could muster. Thanks again for defending this team , the owner, the new head coach and representing the true spirit of how many of the teams fans actually feel. Hope we meet again someday but if we dont the other three times will be lifelong memories for me that remain as some of my best experiences as a fan since the year they moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis when i was five years old.
Pat, this is a tremendous opportunity to create your own creative team names for each NFL team and make them mainstream. It will be payback in kind.

I’m continually amazed at how such a huge professional sports entity is able to shoot itself in the foot over and over.

I lost interest in the NFL several years ago. Pat’s show is so good and informative I found myself watching games again. NFL needs to wake up to this new media form and get out of the way of progress.

@@goodolarchie honestly if you watch this show, you don’t need to watch the games. They break it down quickly and more entertaining than some of the boring games. I can easily go back to being a full time college football fan and dismiss the PAFL altogether. This show is the only reason I started watching the regular season this year (instead of waiting for the playoffs which is what I’ve been doing for 15-20 years)

Which may not seem like much, and he'll never be able to "bury" them. But he has a lot of vocal fans that will speak poorly of the NFL. So pretty much just hurry their reputation a bit.

The Bills showed that they could score at will on them and then just packed it up. The best run defence coming into this and in the second half the Packers ran for like 200 yards.

Great idea. There also needs be a hour long segment where Pat and the Boys just go down the list and rename every team so they can talk more freely about the American Professional Football League. Example would be instead of New York Giants, they could call them the New York Tall People.

This show peaks my interest in the NFL. Your on the field product is what is driving me away. Also how can you stop ANYONE from talking about games that take place at stadiums that you don't own? The taxpayers paid for and built those stadiums, what happens there shouldn't be a secret.

Not For Long!! I saw a great 'all time best plays' video a couple days ago that had 2 awesome tackles by a punter, Pat McAfee is a beast!! OMG, couldn't believe what I was seeing!! He nailed a guy way bugger than he is and drove him out of bounds!! The announcers went nuts. 'look at that tackle by the kicker!!!' Pat's my hero!! 8) --gary

Normally in the off season there isn't a lot of football to talk about. However if Pat and crew do go full scorched earth on the league and start bringing up dirt from former players with a grudge then I'm watching daily! The CTE discussion alone could cover a couple weeks worth of shows
