Hindus in Trinidad have really kept the Flags of Dharma flying proudly even after 175 of leaving the Motherland. Whether through puja, yagna, or weddings their traditions and rituals have remained at the purest state just as it was with their ancestors in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab...A true Kshatriya Wedding🙏🏼
Almost 1 year since I have been looking at this wedding and everytime I look at it I feel amazed. Such a beautiful wedding . I love everything about it. But sad ending now💔💔💔. God bless 🙏🏼
Dane & Dana wedding was very beautiful, unusual but I enjoy it. The bride was totally stunning . 😘💞💞💞 Make up hair was perfectly well done . 👍👍👍 happy life to you both🙏🙏🙏
I constantly always find myself coming back to this video because it makes me so happy seeing this traditional wedding I hope to have a wedding just as beautiful when the time is right ❤️❤️
Hindu weddings are full of different segments and rituals. The dulaha had money in one hand and holding sword and dulahin in the other whilst talking as well. Then back to fully holding the dulahin's hand from the clips I saw here. Ease them up! Congrats to the couple.
In Hinduism there are four classes of people accordto the eighteenth chapter of the Bhagavath Gotham that is the Brahmin (Intellectual), the Chatriya (Warrior), the Vaiyaswa (Entrepreneur) and the Sudra (Worker/menial laborer) The groom is probably from the warrior class and therefore is carrying a sword to illustrate his class in society. From the glitz and glamour witnessed he is from an upper caste. Fortunately, in South Africa this is gradually disappearing
Actually the styling of the attire inclusive of the sword and horse is based on the Shakta sect of Hinduism. The geographical locations where this worship is dominant prescribes the rituals, attires, drums, etc. It is based more on the south Indian diaspora as opposed to the north Indian as many Trinidadians are used to seeing. You can look up one of the main warrior demi-gods, Madurai Veeran, and gain some insight on the traditions of male attire, swords, horses, coconut flowers, tappu drums, dry coconut offerings, etc.
Today Mauritius still follow all tradition and culture gained by our anscestors from India. Thanks to those who kept it still continue for the future

Devan Singh There are no upper castes in Trinidad lol
MrTonytocs That may be so in Trinidad but casteism has unfortunately in the Indian diaspora all over the world morphed into classism
