I love your videos. Short, and straight to the main points. I just pulled the trigger on the Maclaren NKJV you show here in black genuine leather, which is only $60 USD on Amazon right now! I couldn't resist. And, on impulse, I also bought the new Humble Lamb KJV in Sahara Blue Semi-Yapp with Art-gilt edges, which can be pre-ordered for $50 off the normal price for the next few days only. "Get 'em while they're hot!" as they say!
I have this new Maclaren. I have had the Quentel in NKJV. I no longer own any Schuyler Bibles. I really enjoy the letters of Christ in blue! The new Maclaren is such a great value! I look forward to watching these videos Tim, though I have a real good idea what you are going to say. 😉
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews LOL, well I have watched a lot of your videos. I have the reminder set for this one and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Great job Tim! I wasn’t expecting all the comparisons. See you did surprise me! 😂 I am really happy with mine, I would love to see Thomas Nelson upgrade their VBV center column reference Bibles with the blue letter. That would be AWESOME! Thanks for your great reviews!
Thank you, Tim. Excellent review. I've ordered the brown leathersoft, but your review is making we wonder if I should have gone for the leather? Still love that blue goatskin...please, Thomas Nelson, rerun it!
I got a Thomas Nelson LeatherSoft KJV Center Column Reference Bible last May for my birthday. My mother paid around $95 for it. I did have my name engraved on it so that made it cost a little more. Anyway, absolutely love it. I wasn't really looking for anything fancy. I just told my mother I wanted a new KJV Bible for my birthday. I had never even heard of anything called "LeatherSoft". I wonder if there is a name for a Bible that's more expensive than a "Budget" Bible, but not as expensive as a "Premium" Bible.
Great video review Tim !! I have ordered this bible. Its about as close to a premium as I've ever bought. Can't wait for it to arrive in my country. I wouldve loved to buy that green premier collection limited edition too but... I was able to get this Maclaren on sale at church source so with the sale is the only way i was able to get that.
I just found your channel and I just bought this bible for $68 and I would called it a medium premium. I still don't own a premium bible, but I am learning about them and this one I gorgeous. I have a hard time with red print and the reason I got this was for the blue letters and the size of the font, but the cover is lovely and I love this.
Hope they offer the KJV Paragraph in a premier edition and feature blue letter like this (maybe some drop caps for a more classical look since it’s KJV but since it’s Nelson might barking up the wrong tree).
Just when I think, "ok, I have enough different Bibles, no need to buy more," then BAM! I see this video. Ordered one right after watching. Beautiful Bible, thank you, Tim. I'm glad I bought one.
Do you know if this is a one-off or if they are going to produce more of their bibles in blue letter like this? It definitely looks a lot easier to read than the red
Does the Maclaren thinline use the same 36gsm paper that the premier collection uses? I love my green premier collection, and the text has gotten pretty beaten up as it has gone everywhere with me over the past year. I was thinking it might not be a bad idea to grab one of the cheaper Maclaren thinlins to have on hand for when my green Bible gives outs I could then tab the Maclaren into the green cover, if it uses the same paper they should be the same size text block.
Love you Tim but I have a NKJV verse by verse from Thomas Nelson’s premium collection and it has 72,000 cross references. I can’t say for sure if it’s has the same number of text notes either. Either way this McLaren is great. This is my EDC Bible.
That Bible I would say would be the sweet spot for a lot of people who don't want to spend the money on a premium Bible. Super nice
I love the blue letter that really sticks out to my dysfunctioning eyes that's amazing!
The outer gilding is very eye catching!
I'm glad you are enjoying the blue lettering.

Thank you for the review and comparison Tim. 👌
I had to get this one with the blue letter. It is so easy to read and really enjoyable.

Great Bible review. I'm buying this one.
I like the schuyler more because it has the full set of translator notes. If the Thomas Nelson thinline had them I might go with that instead.

@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I found the bible before I knew about you, but your review makes me love it more.
That looks awesome!

I bet you will see more.
Awesome review! Would you ever sell that premier blue Bible !?
🙅🏻♂️
😂 I thought I’d try haha! Keep up the awesome reviews !

It is the same paper!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Pray tell Tim, why does Thomas Nelson stamp the numbers on the back.
Check my video shorts. I have one that explains it. I don’t have very many of them so it’s easy to find.
Their reason for why they do it is lame. How about a sticker or don't even bother to cover it in leather.
@@robertlane306 I guess you could *carefully* black it out with a permanent Sharpie if it is truly bothersome.
Do you know if this has the full set of footnotes and references?
I want to say yes, but let me check to be certain.
Did you find out?
It has 43,000. I am pretty sure that’s all of them.
Love you Tim but I have a NKJV verse by verse from Thomas Nelson’s premium collection and it has 72,000 cross references.
I can’t say for sure if it’s has the same number of text notes either.
Either way this McLaren is great.
This is my EDC Bible.
Brother what is the best NKJV black letter Bible you can buy?
Probably the Maclaren VbV Large Print or the Large Print Thinline in black or brown goatskin.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews thank you
In the fragrance world a line extension is referred to as a flanker.
Interesting.
How is the paper quality compared to the premier thinline? And overall
36gsm. Excellent.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Right now this Bible is $66 on Amazon.
