The Karnataka State Government has issued a notification for the recruitment of various Group-'D' Group vacant posts in the Karnataka State High Court.
Recruitment will be done for the posts of peon, watchman, sweeper and house keeping. Total 150 posts including 6 backlog posts are vacant. Out of these, 21 posts are reserved for local cadre and remaining 129 posts are reserved for the original cadre. Eligible candidates can apply online by 17th September along with eligibility application fee selection procedure related to this recruitment and other information is explained here in brief.
Application fee
An application fee of Rs 200 is prescribed for General Category and OBC candidates and Rs 100 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Category-1 and Handicapped candidates. Application fee can be paid online or by getting a challan from State Bank of India. Payment of application fee through challan is allowed till September 21.
Educational qualification
Candidates who have passed SSLC or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for these posts. Candidates minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 35 years. Maximum age limit is 38 years in case of category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates covered by reservation and 40 years in case of Scheduled Caste/Tribe and Category-1 candidates. As per rules, age relaxation is also given to ex-servicemen and mentally challenged candidates.
Method of selection
Candidates will be selected for the interview based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. 10 marks are fixed for the interview and if the same marks are obtained in the interview then the selection process will be done on the basis of age seniority of the candidates. The list of candidates to appear for interview will also be published on the website of the court.
