Cool project! That Camouflage spray paint is normally used on metal to dull the sheen of metal in outdoor sports -- its texture requires apx 24 hours to dry into a total flat finish that's non-abrasive or reflective so an aluminum hull blends into shoreline reeds, etc. As it dries, the texture is so another color can be sprayed on top but colors don't bleed. Hence, the camo look. I'd suggest a primer/paint spray in a gloss sheen. Less wait!
I found a huge and beautiful wicker chest at Goodwill. I was thinking of this idea and wondered if it would really work. Well there you have it! This was awesome. Thank you for sharing.
This was extremely helpful. The chairs came out beautifully, very similar to an RH finish. It looks perfectly weathered rather than distressed. I love it and will probably be attempting the same finish to acheive a more natural/natural look to a pair of painted rattan chairs that I acquired from a curbside giveaway.
I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.
Omg thank you so much for this. I have some wicker that I love so much I was really worried about losing the details if painting and your video has assured me that it can still be beautiful 😍
Hi- Loved this video and will follow come summer. Would like to point out one thing- with Vintage furniture, there is a good chance that lead paint was used on the chair at some point. Extreme care should be taken with the scraping and old paint removal which creates lead dust- wear a mask while doing this, be sure to use a dropcloth you can wrap up and dispose of when finished. Thanks for reading!
Wow beautiful I’m going thrift shopping for chairs. My first time here so far I love you and I like the way you explain things thank you 🙏 good luck on the channel.
Love your videos! Thanks for showing the process! I’ve been really into the boho/wicker/rattan look and this is great to know if I want to redo any thrifted furniture ❤️
@@ashleyhuze thanks for posting this!! If I emailed you a photo of something I want to DIY would you give me an idea? I have this vintage table and I can’t decide what color to paint it!
I like the look however I'm wondering whether the material will still be breathable under that coat? Feels as if maybe it could lead to damage over time or start to peel of weirdly?
Around the 2 minute mark, her wicker chair looks like a stoned Snuffalumpous character from SeSame Street with a blunt hanging out of his mouth and his eyes dazed, crossed and confused. Lol. 😂 🤔. Or is it possible that me, on a random Tuesday, watching fix it up YT videos, is clearly tho only one who sees this freaky but funny furniture oddity? Maybe I’m the one who’s high here after all. Lol
The white wash technique gives the chairs a beautiful neutral look. Lovely for all seasons. Tfs....

I love what you did with these chairs. You gave them new life.
I LOOOOVE how you used the chairs your mom already had. They look like totally different chairs with the paint.
They look better without the paint. That is what I think.

I’m going to try this with a wicker lamp I bought at a thrift store!!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
I've bought white spray paint at walmart for right around $1. Bottom shelf. I really like your idea & will try it on my wicker trunk.
Omg thank you so much for this. I have some wicker that I love so much I was really worried about losing the details if painting and your video has assured me that it can still be beautiful 😍
You did an awesome job on these chairs. Love it!!!
Definitely want to go thrifting for some wicker chairs now 😍 such a great idea!

They look great! I love them!
My heart is happy 😃 I love all of your videos
Never seen a waste of paint like this
it is a white wash technique. You water down the paint. So you are not using as much as it looks.
They look so beautiful 🤗💕

Wow. I’m doing this! ❤
You need one of those trigger holder for the can. Costs less than $6 and gives an even spray! And saves your hand.
Loved the new look. I didn't see the cushions linked in the description box.
Great job!
Obsessed!!!!!!
Oh jk you already watched!!😂 Just sent it in the last comment!

Wow your brave to paint in white with good clothes in black. I always mess myself up 😂
WOW, great
Podría decirnos el 1° color que utilizó? Gracias
Beautiful
Love them
I have some wicker, well it's the plastic version, do you think this would work on that? I would really love to do this look on them.
Will this work on plastic wicker? Are you using enamel paint from a spray can and enamel white paint for the wash?

What’s the clear coat you used after painting it?
Does the whitewash rub off?
Where have you found that pillows? 😍 i’m in love for it!!
And for your amazing job, Obviously!! 🤩
Nice Rattan Furniture
Where did you get the cushions
Your makeover was amazing (so sad about the shoes 😔).
Does anyone know where I can Find patio cushions
Won't the paint just wear off with use?
Can I ask where u got the cushions from ?
Amazon! I searched “white cushions” with the dimensions of them on amazon!! The original cushions were 19x19 so I went off that!
Beautiful
