I found that my metallic thread kept on knotting all the time and it drove me mad. I don't know if I bought cheap metallic thread or if this happens to all kinds. I saw this tip and found that it was of great help. Get a lip balm and rub your middle finger along it and then when the needle is threaded, put the thread between your finger and thumb and pull the thread along to the end so that it gets a fine coating of lip balm on it. This stops the thread from tangling and I found it to be well worth doing..
Hi Lesley
I used DMC metallic thread and it still was not easy. So I will give your lip balm idea a go. Thank you.
Angela
I have some metallic thread, I used it once on a card and it was when I was starting out, and I haven’t tried it since. This will be a great option for me to try, thank you!!!
I just found you! Gorgeous cards! I can’t wait to watch all your videos. What paper weight do you use?
Hi Jennifer, welcome to my YT channel. For stitching, I use a least 100lbs card so that the card does not tear when stitching.
@@angelabrennancreations thank you!! I appreciate you responding ❤️

Thanks, Dawn. I used at least 100lb cardstock to withstand all that stitching.
