dubfinger - When you do get one, I suggest you drill 1/4 inch holes after taking the top lid off in the top lid right over the final on the left. Then epoxy a 5.5 inch 12v fan over the holes to keep the Final Transistor cool. If you don't, expect 2-5 days until it burns out. Of course trace the fan first so you know where to drill the cooling holes. Then sand or Dremel the metal filings off, make sure it is free of metal deb-re. Just FYI..
I ordered a 2nd TX-30S transmitter. The 1st one overheated real fast and blew up. With this one I just ordered, I am going to be sure that there is enough air circulating to keep it cool. Thinking of adding MORE cooling vents so that does not happen again to me!
This is not by any mean "Professional" transmitter. Power amplifier and controls are quite good but main problem is modulator/Stereo coder/PLL, based on BH-1415 or 1417 IC. They are designed for car FM transmitter having nano or milliwatt power level enough for coverage10 feet or 3 meters range. In another word their spectral clarity is very bad and if it is amplified over the milliwatt level it can make problem to the licenced radio stations. That is the reason why they are not legalised in USA and EU. And it seems nothing will be change in legislation.
Depends on your surroundings . Usually about a 7 mile circumference . Further with a Ramsey 5/8 wave Antenna. Stay away from those 1/4 wave pieces of junk. Ans get some good Coax RG8XU...
@@unit5259 thats really impressive. i'd like to invest and want to be heard at least 30 miles away but theres so many options out there i'm not sure which to buy.
Actually I think the best ones out there just might be an nicom fm transmitter I just emailed them and they are expensive but most likely are more professional reason I say that Is because I was looking at an forum and one of them said nicom among other professional companies now taking an look at an 30w they told me I would be about $ 1,390 + $25 packaging plus freight we also have a STEREO option for $200 additional along with there antennas which they say I would recommend a BKG1P if you can use Vertical polarization $ 490 + shipping Or a BKG88 circular Narrow Band ( tuned to frequency and you cannot change it for $ 390 the best is the BKG77 which is circular and broadband, but its more pricey $ 675 but still nowhere near 25k
You mean "type accepted?" No. Using one of these is a good way to get The Knock from an FCC inspector. They're designed very sloppily and transmit spurious emissions.
Yes, and also many governments around the world buy these transmitters... They do meet FCC requirements. The company who makes transmitters have an FCC certification...
@@tucosalamanca7148 Oh? Then why doesn't he put the FCC Certification Number in the video? Maybe cuz there is none? I wouldn't buy one of these things. How long have you been using yours? I'll pass...I've got better things to do with $10,000 than pay the FCC fine for flicking one of these on.

This is -practically- the same transmitter as the CZE T251 (at twice the price!!). You can set it to 30 Watts but it doesn't go higher than 25 Watts?
Please can you advise where I can buy the correct power supply for this unit?
Excelente transmisor, podrías facilitarme los diagramas esquemáticos de los módulos de tu transmisor. Gracias.

I got a 50w varient, and it does not interfere with anything whatsoever where I broadcast out of 🏴☠️🏴☠️... Lol
Considero ke un tramisor de 30 watt no es para una radio. Profesional de 50 watt adelante puede ser para llegar a unos 10 km a la redonda en la ciudad
I like the solid black one I've got a fm antenna up about 40 feet and I live in flat Tehran
I shall invest in one of these
See above.
He shows it can go from stereo to mono!
