We always consider and understand how our kids feel and will back their decisions, even if we don't agree, but we as mothers don't get that same consideration and respect back. I'm 65 now and I'm finally starting to stand my ground and not always feel obligated to do something I really don't want to do. It is ok to say no and do what's best for you.

I don't know how you do it.. I'm on septic too, the type that works on gravity and terminates to a drain/leach field. I'm sure you probably already have had it pumped. I'm lucky I have a small household that requires pumping every 3yrs. Maybe pump yours yearly and make sure you're drain field is evaporating at proper rate. BTW, like you ,I never had heavy periods (I went from the pill to old school copper IUD late 30s) around 50 periods got heavy and lasted 8-10 days, removed IUD, didn't help much,then on my 53rd birthday period literally stopped and menopause arrived. My gyno told me it was normal for some women, it's not just estrogen progesterone anymore, other hormones are showing up that aggravate all the hormones and the result is bloody, violent death of your bodies ability to create life. Hang in there and try not to worry too much about symptoms you're having. I'm 60 now and still occasionally have to deal with hot flashes, night sweats and if I had to live Dan I'd be doing time for assault and battery. 😂
Also function of a septic should be more important, it can cause structural issues. I would call a plumber and get second opinion , you should be able to flush t p do the right adult thing .

I was 36 years old when I had a hysterectomy, I had fibros since I was 18 kept having them removed until I gave in. Im 68 years old now
