It feels almost like a double album, as it alternates between melancholic and club music. Maybe that was the intention all along? Because it also matches the title, thematically. "Hit me hard and soft." There are harder and softer sounds in every single song.

I'm a 70 yr old fan of Billie's. I love "Ilomilo" - and I don't know about the ilomilo theory. Just a note: the "Hit Me Hard and Soft" album, though only 10 tracks is 43 minutes and 45 seconds long and WWAFAWDWG is 42 minutes and 55 seconds long. So the new album with fewer tracks is a snidget longer. Also, I believe WWAFAWDWG is an absolutely phemonmenal album - it justifiably ranks high on the latest ROLLING STONE list of the 500 greatest albums - ahead of Olivia's, but behind Lorde's. Who knows how it will rank when the next list comes out or when I'm 110 years old and Billie is 62!! [and Finneas is 66!]

Billie always does stuff like this like when she released everything i wanted, and a year later therefore i am. They were released in the same month one day before eachother spelling therefore i am everything i wanted. So this theory could very well be true. Excited to see whats going to happen!
