Kid's got vocal cords of steel. He sings incredibly well. Yesterday Dont Mean Shit, I'm Broken, Becoming, Revolution Is My Name, the Art of Shredding live at the Forum. Have at it, my friend. You're about to discover something unparalleled.
17 Pantera shows. First one was at 12. Their song This Love was my baptism to a mosh pit. Wild shows but everyone always watched out for each other. Someone gets knocked down, pick them up right away.
Pantera Pantera Pantera! More Pantera please! You’ve stumbled upon a legendary band and one of the greatest Metal bands to ever play metal music featuring arguably one of the greatest metal guitarist to ever pick up a guitar - Dimebag Darrel (RIP). When metal fans are speaking of the greatest metal bands ever, Pantera’s name is always in the conversation right next to Metallica. Your next two reactions from Pantera should be “Domination (live in Moscow)” and “I’m Broken” the official music video. They have a deep bag of songs and these two are essential listening. They unfortunately have two members that have passed on while they were still fairly young and don’t create music any more. They’re credited for being the forefathers of a sub-genre of metal know as groove metal. And it’s actually difficult no to bob your head to it. I was at that concert when they filmed this. Still have the ticket stub. It was recorded at the great Riviera Theater in Chicago. The venue is smaller than some but much much larger than it appears in the video. I was one of the crowd surfers in the video. No other band have I seen more times live in concert than Pantera. The nearest close 2nd is System of a Down (hint hint). I hope you decide to continue down this satisfying rabbit hole!
Look at the crowd . Awesome musicianship. They play large venues checkout. "Domination" live in Russia 1.000.000 people. Drummer and guitar player are dead. Guitar player goes by Dimebag Darrel awesome guitar . Alcohol for the throats . They partied They play Walk on Madden when you sack the quarterback.i have been two of their shows armed and heavily sedated
lol at signing a waiver ... we all knew that if you went to a Pantera concert you were next level badass, which is why I stayed home with my epileptic friends hahahahaa This was in the 90s before all the snowflakes descended on the map.
I was lucky enough to see them three times. Each of the performances was memorable and distinct. But to answer your question, we didn't have to sign a waiver. I went knowing that I could get hurt... lol... just part of it.
No waivers. Saw them in Bakersfield, CA many years ago. I miss Dime (guitar player who was tragically shot on stage by a crazed fan) and his brother, Vinnie (passed from a heart issue). I don't know if you have reviewed Black Label Society, but the song, "In This River," is about losing Dime.
Check out Rage Against The Machine. Rock/rap with bars that were written in the 90’s but still relevant today. Political/social issues. Bulls on Parade, Wake Up, Know Your Enemy... trust me, you’ll end up going down that rabbit hole. It’s deep af too
This song is what I would listen to right before almost beating someone to death bare handed lmao. This song or 5 minutes alone. I'm broken is good too.
if you’re trained properly you can do the growl and scream with no damage, there’s singers that are still doing it after decades. if you’re not trained, you end up like matt heafy (lead singer of trivium) who blew out his vocal cords on stage 😬 took him a long-ass time and a lot of work with a vocal coach to recover.
A waiver? We don't need no stinking waiver! Catching one of these shows came with a certain disregard for personal safety. Not a whole lot of fucks given in the metal world. That's part of the fun. You cant live your whole life scared.
How does his vocal chords hold up? for Phil i dont know because i dont think he has had vocal training. but most metal singers have vocal training so they can do that raspy growl and not ruin their vocal chords. it takes years and years to perfect learning how to not overdo stuff. believe it or not most of those guys growling are only doing it at 30 percent and letting stuff like compression and amplifiers carry the volume.
First time on your channel. Great reaction and nailed their message from the song 👊 Pull up "COWBOYS FROM HELL". Do yourself a favor, pull up the lyrics for the video. The words flow fast.
Yeah, that dude's voice is GONE now. He used to be able to actually sing too, but now all he can do is the growl-y stuff. So, he's paid the price for it over the years.
Pantera was the first band I heard labeled as "groove metal." I think it totally fits.
definitely. you can headbang and vibe out depending on your mood.

"Domination" live from Moscow, is a must!! And also you definitely need to watch and react to "Cemetery Gates"
Pantera is distinct enough to basically be a sub-genre by themselves.
17 Pantera shows. First one was at 12. Their song This Love was my baptism to a mosh pit. Wild shows but everyone always watched out for each other. Someone gets knocked down, pick them up right away.
This ain't rock this is metal... PROPER METAL.

the Pantera show was in Moscow Russia and there was more than 1.2 million people there.
RIP Dimebsg Darryl
Gangsta rock!!
Pantera don't mess around! My all time favorite band! As cool in person too! Try Greyen by merging moon! That chick is fricking scary!
Phil has that deep sexy voice. Hes actually a really talented singer. "Cemetary Gates" & "Cowboys from Hell"!!!!!!
He was...
@@BramGaunt ok, maybe "he was" but hes also alot older now and it dosent take away from the fact that he was or from his music.
You definitely need to hear Mouth Of War by Pantera after this!
The Hardest Metal joint ever!!
lol at signing a waiver

Phil's voice sounds raspy like that just speaking naturally.
Domination live
I was lucky enough to see them three times. Each of the performances was memorable and distinct. But to answer your question, we didn't have to sign a waiver. I went knowing that I could get hurt... lol... just part of it.
There's technique to harsh vocals, if you do it correctly there should be no damage
Love all Pantera's songs 🤘🤘🤘🤘😀
Bro...SO glad you stopped on that be yourself, by yourself ....that's a powerful part of the msg of this song. Main part, really
Those were the best concert to go to I’m glad whenever they came around I got to go see them 💪👍😁
P. S. Check out Pantera live in Moscow Domination 🤘🤘🤘
Meshuggah my man!

PanterA
Pantera is often label as 'Groove Metal'

I haven’t read any of the comments. I’m a metal singer and it’s all technique. Check out Jinjer if you want your mind blown.
It's considered a sacrilege among the faithful to pause a Dimebag solo. Just sayin. Excellent reaction.
owwwwwwww !!!
Try Domination live in Moscow!
I wish i could go to pantera concert but don't think they will be touring anytime soon
Pantera is over forever. You can check out Philip, the singer playing some Pantera songs in an upcoming live stream April 9th.
New sub btw...and you should react to Cemetary Gates by these guys. His voice will blow your mind. And dime bags solo is FIIIRE
Look up phill Anselmo reads nursery rhymes, and you will know how he does the raspy sound every day lol
🤘👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍
Mouth For War....Video version!
Thanks for this one...SUB here!

React to *ANTHRAX* please! They're amazing

Look up once human eye of Chaos.
If you're an epileptic you don't go to concerts.
No waiver needed just balls

Heresy ... that's the song man
His voice didn't hold up. He can't sing like he could on Pantera's early albums anymore. Years of touring will take its toll.
I have been to a few pantera live shows and I can guaranty you that there is no "beer pong" played in the back> just sayin'
Dude ya gotta do a reaction to devin Townsends deadhead.
Nope. Broken noses, lost teeth, broken arms. Pantera mosh pits were brutal
yess they were...but when I saw them at least if someone fell...they were helped up.
The good old days before all the little spin kicking idiots who end up on their ass
Deadhead live.
2 дизлайка всего-лишь.. да ты крут
this song was about fake friends that talked mess about the band after the band got a little famous
Yeah, that dude's voice is GONE now. He used to be able to actually sing too, but now all he can do is the growl-y stuff. So, he's paid the price for it over the years.
Mofos in the bathroom are not playing beer pong. More like getting amped up on another line of coke or meth.
