This was such a great synopsis! But I gotta say, there are “filler” episodes that were excluded that were still great in building character dev’t. One of my faves was the backstory of Iroh where he sang a song in the graveyard of his son. I think it also had the story where Toph had to act “girly” which further gave depth to her character imo just like the beach episode with the fire nation kids where Azula found a fling and suddenly became too “Princess Azula” and creeped him out. Generally this show is just so well-written that I kept rewatching it and still feel like I am watching it the first time everytime. Its crazy to think that these groups were a bunch of teenagers thinking of military tactics, experiencing nation betrayals, and dealing(or committing) literal war crimes but then I see them stumble and do things for their age and I realize how truly great the storytelling is. Azula was really so much more troubled than Zuko than she let people see. Toph is still a girl who also wants girly things despite her tough exterior. Aang is a kid with way too much responsibility that he has no choice but to fulfill. But despite all of it, they had to do what they had to do. The way this story portrayed friendship and self discovery with the different teenagers were second to none imo. I think my fave storyline will always be Zuko and Iroh’s. Altough this series in its wholeness is truly such a masterpiece especially when I go back to watch it years after where I see more things than before! It’s timeless. Thank you for this video!

Also you should watch Korra, it's a million times better than what avatar already was, the development is awesome, the theme is dark and moody and killing is enabled, and most importantly all the villains aren't bloodthirsty npcs, three out of four of them make perfect sense and the writing is perfect. Honestly people that think aang is a better character than Korra are complete psychopaths. Zuko's character development carried all seasons, and the writers were rightfully just messing around limit testing. Korra was a sequel that didn't disappoint and tla had already set the bar very high.

Loved this video, only complaint I have is skipping multiple episodes, Avatar Day, Great Divide, The Chase, and prob others i didn’t catch, i don’t care that much abt avatar day and great divide as they’re pretty much filler, but the swamp and chase i feel are influential in early Book 2 in toph & azula’s character edit: just realize he didn’t include serpent’s pass or the drill either, really disappointed about that, feels like just taking all screen time away from azula and aang interactions
The bad this is Netflix has already ruined their live action of it. From the creators walking away because of creative differences, to them changing character and their story and growth… but loved this coverage of the series! Thank you for doing this it was time well spent

There's another show focusing on the avatar after aang. There's also comics set shortly after the war following the gaang as they rebuild the nations. And if you want even more there's 4 novels, 2 of them focusing on avatar kyoshi and 2 focusing on avatar yangchen. There's going to be some animated movies coming out soon too the earliest one being 2025

I believe they never anticipated that theyll be doing season 2 and 3. Hopefully im the coming season theyll come up with the orders or the way how the story flow. I have been benge watching The Last Airbender with my youngest son for the past few days now. I missed a few episodes that he watched without me. Im glad i found this video to watch!! Thank you for posting!! Its been a hige help with catching up on the storyline. Also, I enjoyed the 2010 movie that recieves so much hate!!! Yeah, the ending was bad, and left us all hanging, but overall, I for the most part enjoyed it. Also, just thought I would add, Im 49....not that it has any relevance, but just wanted to mention it.........
