Hi everyone, thank you for watching! In this video we go over a few quick and easy ladder safety tips for inspections. This video focuses on portable ladder safety.
Good stuff! Loved the "dirty" ladder. Too often I have caught contractors trying to "paint" a ladder "new" or it is so covered in paint and other material you can't even tell its condition!
Tip: To keep safety labels visible when spraying paint, apply a piece of clear packing tape over the label then apply a shorter piece over the first one. Fold about 1/4" of the end of the second piece of tape to create a pull tab for easy replacement when needed. If you don't use the "two pieces of tape" method, the safety label may come off when you replace the cover tape. Don't forget to use a ladder mover for carrying your heavy ladders and supplies.
To me the most useful tips are: 0:53. 1:22 Make sure the rungs are clear, clean, and aren’t bent or broken. 1:33 Step ladder spreaders should be in good condition and lock properly. 1:53 Make sure there’s no structural damage or bowing.
I just discovered you channel today while searching for a good video on using a dry-chemical fire extinguisher. Nice content on your channel. Subscribed.
