David Berry’s work in these scenes was brilliant. So understated, yet filled with layers upon layers of underlying emotions. As a gay man, I can’t help but feel a connection to LJG. In one of the earlier scenes when he replies to Claire’s “I was born this way” with “As was I,” my heart broke. The single tear that fell down his cheek was a floodgate of emotion for a man who is not able to display his true feelings. It was very similar to his scene with Jamie when he touched his hand. Years of shame, loneliness, frustration, and longing were conveyed with that one tear. I have not read the books, so I have no idea what is coming, but I hope there is more of John Grey. For me, he steals every scene in which he appears. I am in complete adoration of the nuanced work Mr. Berry is doing with this role.

do you have a clip of when Lord John Grey gets sick please ?
esse dialogo é muito bonito.....
Que episódio incrível! Adorei muito bom ☺
HEARTBREAKING!!!!!
Everyone wants Jamie.
Spoiler
Claire gets Jamie, then John, then Jamie again! Lucky lady!
Huh?
@@evelynwashere13 If you haven't read the books and want to know.....Jamie presumed lost and dead at sea. John marries Claire to save her from suspicion of being a traitor to the British. But Jamoe was aboard a different ship and it just took him longer to get home to Claire. Shit gets crazy after that.
@@npeace312 Thank you for that. I'm one who'll read the last few pages of a book to make sure it goes the way I want, lol......although I've read comments that Jamie was really mad about it so it had to ruin his and John's close relationship. Jamie was jealous of Frank who was 200 years in the future and he would never see them together, John's a different story. I hope they leave that out for poor Jamie's sake.
@@evelynwashere13 I believe the relationship between Jamie and John will endure, eventually. I strongly suggest reading the books. Diana Gabaldon is an amazing author and you won't be bored. You miss out on so much, so many amazing stories they don't include in the show. I'll mail you my extra Outlander book 1 if you want. :)
@@npeace312 😂😂 I'll get them. I usually wait until things are completely done first, I know it's cheating but I can't help myself 😔😔😁😁😁
Eine tolle Szene mit Caitriona und Lord John 😍👍
Da fühlt man richtig mit
Beide großartige Schauspieler 👍
💜
Okay, why are the wigs so bad this season?
They are in the Carolina backcountry, so they are supposed to look a bit provincial.
Right?? For as beautiful as the costumes are in this show, the characters have the worst hair ever.
Indeed. I don’t mind the untidy hairstyles, since they live in the country. My problem is in the roots of the hairs, the hairlines. That’s where the wigs show their problems. They look like wigs, not real hair. Sad.
Even Claires hair looks like wigs for the show
They're better than the Game of Thrones wigs tho.
She is a better woman than I, I do not share my toys.
She feels sorry for him. Besides, it's easy to be charitable towards someone who is not the competition in any shape or form.
@@misspriss2482 Jamie is not a toy. He is the love of her life and John's too.
@@Paulasantos. oh please....jamie offered his body to Lord John when he was about to leave England in payment for taking Willie
@@lindatimmons3675 Yeah, and John didn't accepted... despite loving Jamie.
He’s giving me major Brad Pitt vibes from Legends of the Fall…
Did he mention the kiss???
What kiss ??
@@rajawi5828 exactly
@@rajawi5828 in the books Jamie kisses John in the mouth when John refused to take Jamies body when he offered. Jamie was in shock because the rectitude of Lord John despite his feelings so he reward him with the kiss. A shame this not happened in the show. I don't know why. Is an important moment in the book.

A shame Jamie didn't have a love scene with John...would be their secret..Claire didn't need to know...
Who put that wig on her. It's awful. Good thing shes an amazing actress!!
I only hope that they exclude from the show the time that Claire and John sleep together like they excluded the Jamie and John kiss in season 3
You mean, when they consummated their marriage?
Wwwwwaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiitttttttttt what?!?! NO WAIT DON'T TELL ME
I hope they do too. Uuuggghhh, how could they ruin John and Jamie's relationship like that??? Things would never be the same. I hope they skip that. After all the bad feedback they got over the Black Jack torture episodes hopefully they've learned to gage the audience. The series started going down after season 2, IMO, so if they do that I'll be okay to stop watching, even though I love Sam and Caitriona. GoT has scarred me for life on these adaptations 😂😂
The fact that they bone much later on is still out of my mind
What when why
Michelle coco Waaaaaay later when they both thought jamie died and then they even got married lol that was awkward
Michelle coco and then jamie beat him up because he slept with Claire lmao
@@cordeliacarstairs2796 😱😳
@@cordeliacarstairs2796 wait will they be friends again ?
There's the problem for me. The actor who plays John but with fairer skin & red hair, is my vision of Jamie.
Someone could show us a transcription. Id like to translate to portugues
No.fran para cler.
You come for de woman husband and eh expect to get BLANK?? Gwan so nah!
Lord John is gay, but never plays it that way. Just human.
what is up with jamie getting all the red coat men
Dammit! Why couldn't we have gotten that scene between Jamie and Grey? Why? I would have loved seeing Sam and David together as much as I did Sam and Tobias.
Dianne B. Dee.... the ( s) in the prison were BAD!!!
Such a powerful, moving scene . . . that gets utterly ruined for me when LJG uses "them" as a singular, gender-neutral pronoun. That is a 100% 21st century way of talking and it took me right out of the moment. To whoever wrote this episode -- get an editor!
He was just trying not to be too glaringly obvious. I dont think it stuck out too much
Very cringe worthy scene
Why ??
Why did they have to throw some gay thing in there and ruin the show. Sickening…
Didn't ruined the show, on the contrary, was beautiful.
It is a SHAME that some authors think they have to sale perversion into their books!
She didn't have to. She did it because she wanted to.
perversion? where?? Are you a fanatic cristian intransigent person? We live now in XXI century and not at middle age.
Not a fan of John and Willaim. Episode was just not that good.
