    To bring you up to speed on the situation in Denmark: The Cluster 5 mutation which caused concern has still not been found since September despite massive testing. This suggests that this particular string has very likely already died out. Moreover, the latest research shows that vaccine candidates are effective against the Cluster 5 mutation also so it seems we are in the clear with regards to this threat. Despite this good news The Danish Government has just announced a temporary but total ban on mink until the end of 2021 and all remaining mink must be culled (most are already gone and the rest will end their lives in the coming days). This is done to prevent the risk of further mutations and spillover.
    This effectively means that this fairly large industry has come to an end in Denmark. Or at least that it will take decades to bring it back to where it was if anyone feels like trying again from 2022 onwards. Even though this is a tragedy for the farmers and will be very expensive for the Danish taxpayers I personally hope we have stopped keeping these creatures in small cages for good.

      Spanish flu was actually worse, and no "wet markets" were involved, just regular folks raising chicken and pigs. And we had a bunch of pandemics since then. ('57, '68, '09, etc)... Look for dr Greger presentation on pandemics (in 2008). Even if this virus originated in the lab in Wuhan instead of the wet market in Wuhan, it doesn't really matter, mother nature will come up with something eventually. And I, for one, am grateful that research was advanced enough to come up with a vaccine so quickly.

    With the mRNA vaccines, I am concerned about long-term effects. Is there any reason to believe these new vaccines might affect human reproductivity in an adverse way? Is anyone looking into that possibility? It would be tragic if a vaccine were given to large segments of the human population and then we saw a long-term side effect which would interfere with having children, or some other effect which shortened lifespans or caused other issues.

      @@oceanrock733 I don't know what level of safety is "reasonable". We certainly don't want the cure to be worse for humanity than the disease. In prior vaccine development programs, time was considered an important part of the testing. My concern is perhaps unknown long-term effects simply cannot be known in the short-term.

    • @aleksey2243
      @aleksey2243 3 роки тому

      Exactly.All dots are leading to safety of vaccine.The main sponsor of those ones is Bill Gates,he raised the topic about human depopulation on Ted talks and in addition to this a lot of investigations about Bill Gates (from Corbet Report) backs it up that these vaccines are not safe whatsoever.

    • @quantumac
      @quantumac 3 роки тому +1

      @@aleksey2243 I really don't even have to believe in a grand conspiracy to wonder about the safety of a rushed, new vaccine. Other vaccines generally had years of testing behind them before they were approved for general use, and that's not just because of bureaucratic slowness. The reason they allowed all that time for testing was to see if there were long-term issues. These mRNA vaccines have mere months of testing behind them. We have no long-term safety data on these new vaccines, and that's concerning to me.

      The only way to determine if a vaccine is effective, is if it actually saves lives. However the virulence level for SARS-COV-2 is so low right now that there would be no statistical significance to determine its effectiveness rate. Any vaccine at this point of the endemic equilibrium is already dated and will have literally zero benefit.

    I don’t think it's wrong that the pharm companies should make a small profit, perhaps 15% over cost, but they did receive many billions of research and development funding from taxpayers over most of the world. Some of these prices seem inflated, considering that the pharm companies, who always claim they need to recoup R&D costs through high product prices, essentially didn’t have these costs. Governments should set price limits to ensure that they are not gouging desperate populations.

    • @microcolonel

      I won't waste any breath nickel and diming any of these pharmaceutical companies. I think they are totally entitled to profit as much as they would like from their own inventions, provided that they give a sizable discount to the governments that paid for some of their research.
      there are now so many competing vaccines that I think vaccines at a higher price point with possibly higher margins are totally acceptable. Here in America, a 50 to $75 lifetime cost for one vaccination like this is a pittance.
