What do you think of the Galaxy S24?
Exynos is Shit I can say that closing my eyes. That's why I am watching and posting this comment from S23.
Like 👍🏻 for honest review
I dislike exynos so much....to even consider it, it needs at least 6 months to prove itself
and from your comparison it seems like S23/+ is better(best case scenario the same) at a lower price
I will change to s23 and not buy a s24 for sure
Why s24 was already 45 C when starting antutu? It only had 2 C to start throttle. S23 was 41 C so it had 6 C to start throttle... I have s23 but lets be fair.
True, although other benchmarks I've seen between S24 Exynos and S24 Ultra (Snapdragon) were showing that the Exynos phones run around 2c hotter under load. It may not have made a big difference even if he waited for both phones to cool down before running the test.
Because s24 cant even hold temp of just turn on phone
Thank you for the comparison. One comment about batteries: Samsung displays battery history starting from 12AM, not from the last full charge. So it was affected by the usage existed before you charged them.
That explains everything 🤦♂️
I notice that in darker conditions, the s24 handles the darker areas better than s23.
Great content and video comprision as always Alex bro
Thank you again
You should wait atleast 3 years until ur next phone upgrade for the hardware to advance enough and be worth it
You are 100% correct
or better said you should for samsung to release a flagship with snapdragon, that's how you know you buy a good phone
@ionutbagmuianu884 100% true facts
I'm here in Canada 🇨🇦 and Samsung phones 📱 have the Snapdragon Chips!!!
We pay top notch for cell phones here Canada 🇨🇦 like 35% more than the Usa 🇺🇸
If they put a chip in these Samsung phones that were worse then the Snapdragon chip I wouldn't even look twice @ Samsung phones 😤
I feel for other countries that get ripped off not getting the Snapdragon experience!!!
Samsung should of learned over the years & just put the same Snapdragon right across the board and call it a day!!! 😉👊🏻
@@nccapone344 Samsung have been scamming everyone in Europe for years. U pay flagship money for a phone with Exynos chip
Great video comparision my question is does it feel lighter or no? I have s23 and always get 5-6 hours screen excelent considering my last phone was an iphone 12 mini super bad on battery hehe
It feels more evenly distributed… not necessarily lighter. I think there is only 1 gram difference between them
I am getting 7 hours of sot on s24
@vijaykumar-uy5xe exynos or snapdragon bro? on wifi or on cellular? thanks
@@adhienugroho4340 bro on exynos on wifi it's 7.5 hours and on cellular there is no heating and getting 6.5 hours of sot
@@vijaykumar-uy5xe thank you for the clear information bro
wow.... dynamic range and ois need a software update but i like that the video is not oversharpened this year. Low light video has some issues too tho
Typically with Samsung 2 months after a release there are getting the cameras to do a better job..
Maybe it could be as good as s23 one day...
Thinking of getting either S23+, S23 Ultra or S24+ (exy) for main phone and occasional gaming. What do you think is the best?
I'd keep my hands of exynos
S23 Ultra
Great video , a real bummer for those getting the Exynos chip not the snapdragon . I do have to say one year upgrades are rarely ever worth it so even if you live in an area where you get the snapdragon chip it’s not worth an upgrade from the 23 to the 24. You need to wait a couple years to see any meaningful difference.
I finally de ideale on 24+ exynos as 2 tests showed it was more efficiënt than a gen2. Even Just a little. I Come from a 20FE. I also realize I need to turn off auto correct ;-)
Great and very detailed video. I'm glad you mentioned the frame.
Thanks! 👍
Just ordered s23 in 2024 and this video made me satisfied with my choice ... thank you
Hello Alex thank you very much for this review! I'm coming from samsung galaxy S10e so you can imagine that it will be a big upgrade for me but I'm still thinking should I buy the S23 that has everything under control with the uptades or should I go for the new one and waiting for the update to be in a better place?? Camera for me is a big one in the phone.I really like what they did on the outside with the titanium though.Thank u!
Hey, since you keep the phones so long I think you should get the S24. They promised updates for 7 years on the S24. I don’t think that applies to the S23. Typically in 4-6 weeks after the initial release Samsung seems to fix most camera issues after a couple of updates 🤷♂️
My S24 didn’t get any updates yet
@@RedskullPro Thank you very much for your fast and honest response Alex. Take care. Best
Galaxy S24 has almost same level of performance and camera as S23 if not better. Because of that, I call my S23 as S24 because 2023 is a bad year for me.
Can you make another test for speakers? I am really interested about which one is louder
The S24 seems to sound fuller. About the same volume but fuller.
did you use the s24 with a snapdragon or the one with the samsung chip that ships to countries outside of usa canada and china
The s24 has the exynos chipset, the s23 the snapdragon
@@RedskullPro the 24 with exynos is worse and has more bugs than the snapdragon so this review should include that as the snapdragon doesnt share those issues, any 24s sold in usa canada or china have snapdragon
strange question... did you watch the video? if you did you won't ask that question because it was mentioned many times about Snapdragon vs Exynos.
Videos have gotten so much better.. The colours, dynamic range and less sharpening. ✌️
Except for stabilization
Sir hello i want to buy for only social media and camera and long battery which one need to buy s23 or s24 and i didnt want to my phone overheat sorry for bad english
I prefer the S23. Cheaper and better
@@RedskullPro after 2 year will be any lag or something what you think?
I am really doubting if i should go for the S23 or the s24. Sadly I dont get the snapdragon in the s24 wich is pretty sad and what also makes if more difficult for me to choose. I mostly wil use the phone for video recording and some occasionally gaming like Honkai Star Rail. The thing is, I can get the S24 for cheaper right now. It's around 70 euro's cheaper than the s23. This makes it difficult for me to choose the right one. Can someone please make some suggestions on what I should do?
s23 or s24 i am a 3 year phone user since i love tech i constantly upgrade my phone in 3 years and since there is a worlds biggest samsung manufacturing plant in my city s23 costing me 480 usd sealed box what should i do?
Just by looking at the comparison video, the brightness of the two devices is different. The S24 is much brighter. I understand that the S24 is brighter at 2600 nits under the sun. If the brightness is not set equally for both devices, it is just a sloppy test
When using auto brightness mode:
Galaxy S23: 1750nits
Galaxy S24: 2600nits
In the video they look identical, so I'm assuming he was using manual brightness mode.
Excellent review!
Thanks for watching
Thanks and props for the video comparison! You think Samsung will fix the stabilization issue?
Yes in a month or so the cameras will do much better. Happens every year
Does the United States get the exynos version or the good one?
US, Canada & China get the good one - i.e. Snapdragon Gen 3 chipset..
You get the good one
US, China always gets the best rest of the world gets junk..one of the reasons why iPhone is selling more than Samsung...they don't discriminate users
I think the brightness isn't different at all. In manual mode they look identical.
I think in order to get the 2600nits vs 1750nits you have to use auto brightness mode.
You are one of my fav you tuber.
Genuine and hard work.
So nice of you
You should make again these tests after day one patch. Oneui 6.1 is still beta!
I am sure that this phone will get better in a few weeks
Did you really find any diffrence between the two. What are they ??
Main camera S23 series shadow, S24 so clear👍
I had s23, I got s24 plus, I get about 7/8 hours of display, better screen, better audio, better photos, less overexposure, really useful artificial intelligence... I don't understand why shovel shit on this phone, just for exynos
I don't know if it's that fair though to compare a phone that's been optimized for a year now to a phone with no updates yet. If there's something I've learned about Samsung is that they never release a very well optimized phone, it always takes a few updates to sort some things out.
You aren’t wrong… but If I would wait a few months to make this video… there would be 0 interest in this phone 🤷♂️
So why do u watch this video bro?
Great video thanks I dont need to switch from 14pro yet.
Good choice!
Great video 📹 Brother 👊🏻🥳
Thanks for the visit
Hello ! Can you do a exynos vs snapdragon S24 comparison plz ?
I won’t be able to get a Snapdragon S24 🥲 but I bet the video stabilization would be much better, performance would be better… maybe even better battery life 🤷♂️
I heard s24 LTPO display can go as low as 1 hz, but gsmarena said in their web only as low as 24 hz, can you please check it? Thank youu
After watching some VS between S23 & S24, S23+ & S24+,
Yes S23 S23+ better than S24 S24+. But we must know samsung made a great development progress for their SoC, Exynos. The difference not that big enough already, like before when SD8 gen 2 VS Exynos 2200 VS Mediatek D9200+.
Hope they will reach Snapdragon & Mediatek level in the future 🙌🙌🙌
Nice review bro👍
The battery test is not fair since the 23 battery is one year old.
Should I buy a new S23 to make a video that will get 20k views? 😀
exynos in S24 is still better than snapdragon, I ordered S24 and I am very happy with the purchase, after a few years I will gladly come back to the Samsung store to buy a new smartphone, their promotions, discounts and prizes are brilliant You won't get this at Apple, they are greedy for money love samsung AI AI :)
I am thinking about buying the s24 but i am worried about the exynos after 4 months how is your experience (battery, performance, overheating)

When it really comes to it we never really use 100% of the phones actual power so does it really matter?
For some it may, not for all :)
How it is possibile that s24 has 1.3m in AnTuTu where in the internet exynos has >1.6M? what is more ufs on s23 is 4.X and in s24 3.X...this comaparison is not relevant for me...
Bro, where the hell do you live? Those videos were beautiful!!
At the moment the south of Spain :)
The only thing I found great about s24 is a new form factor, new edges feel as a much better experience. In my country the price difference is only $100 so I'm still wondering which 256 gb version to buy: s24 or s23

These phones = perfect size.
They are
I believe your Antutu benchmark testing is invalid. You started S24 test when the CPU temp was 45C, it started to thermally throttle at 47C, but S23 was started as 42C, hardly fair.
When measuring peak performance, you sould start from the same baseline, not after running multiple tests.
I'm not defending Exynos, I'd rather have the Snapdragon, but your data is wrong. My score, on S24 with Exynos is 1716140 - which is inline with tests performed by others and way higher than yours.
That was actually the 3rd time running the Antutu benchmark on both phones. That was the temperature both phones had running the same test.
But that is not how peak performance is measured. That's more of a sustained performance, but even so, not really fair.
Sustained performance is done in a controlled way, running the "stability" benchmark, in an automatic, controlled way. Manually running benchmarks back to back does not offer a good/repeatable result. Plus, there is no way to verify your claim that you ran it the same number of times in the same conditions.
Again, I'm not pro Exynos, I hate that Samsung pulls this kind of c**p while stating there is no performance difference; it clearly is. But I still believe your representation of data is not exactly fair.
Great comparison bro! Actually Im about to buy s24. But after seeing this, I need to think twice. Let's say both IPhone15 & S24 have the same price. But you get 128gb on iPhones vs 512gb on Samsung with sexynos. What would you choose ? And guys if you read this pls lemme know your thoughts as well. FYI s23 is about the same price as s24 in my town. That's why I'm a bit confused to choose ^^
Yeah, 128gb isn’t enough unfortunately so the iPhone is out. If you could get the S24 ultra… that would be a nice phone… but the S24 is kind of disappointing imo
For the price that you give on a S24 you could buy S23 Ultra easily and get the same performance plus the benefits of being ultra with s pen, larger screen, larger battery and many more, just get S23Ultra
He is right
was the s24 feeling jitter after long use?
Yes, when it gets hot
tbf when concerning the battery he did use the s23 almost 30 minutes less than the s24 and the s24's screen does seem noticeably brighter which isn't quite fair. There was a 5 percent difference between the 2, which is probably negligible and an argument could even be made that the s24 could do better if all the variables were controlled and fair.
thank you for the review, i think S24 didnt give much diffrent, and i still in love with my S23... lets wait for the next year hehehe
Good plan 😀
I'm doing the same. I just got my S23 in mid-September. I'll probably wait for the S25 series and then maybe upgrade
Yeap thats why I sent back my preordered S24.
Maybe for the best
I am glad i bought s23+ lsst year. I will upgrade my phone when samsung will bring snapdragon in Europe again. Otherwise i have to shift to iphone. Though i like android over ios because android offer more customization.
Maybe the sales will be poor enough this year that they won’t bring exynos to Europe anymore
S24 is much brighter. Brightness has a big impact on battery life. Experiment with brightness settings that are the same.
i hate these comparisons, of course it can be a lil glitchy sometimes, S23 has been around for basically a year now, the software is already mature and a lot of bug fixes due to the software updates that it has been received. Same will happen to the Samsung S24.
Now, I also agree that these things should have been fixed since they are already releasing them, but I guess that's how the brands handle these things nowadays, fix stuff with the feedback of customers.
You aren’t wrong. I’ve noticed with every Samsung release that it takes 2-3 updates till the phone gets better.
what about colors? its looks slightly poor on s24? can e make with this something?
I’m sure everyone will have a different preference 🤷♂️
Why not compare samsung s23+ with samsung s24+ ???
I think you might be a bit biased about the exynos. I've seen a lot bench marks and testing and the exynos is better than the snapdragon8 gen2 but worse than the snapdragon8 gen3. So the s24 is actually better
I am because it’s not great. The s23 experience has been flawless 🤷♂️
i really want exynos to be great, but better synthetic benchmarks doesnt translate to better experience, you can have all the geekbench score but if the apps are not that optimized for the chip it will not give you a better experience. for example when exporting in adobe premiere rush, the 8 gen 2 is almost 3 times(cmiiw) faster than the exynos 2400
@@suisegs69420 Exactly. Its not just benchmark software, its day to day to use. also how its conneciton it is with mobile networks and wifi etc. I have heard the exynos drains quicker when on 5g data than snapdragon
iPhone 15 or s23 is more better??
what is best snapdragon or exyoness
Haha, Snapdragon
I thought for a long time whether I should buy the S 23 or S24. but when I look at the test, the S23 is actually the better choice. Performance and camera are very good for both, I'm less interested in benchmarks. You also have to be fair and maybe treat the S24 to a few more updates, although a top smartphone has to run perfectly as soon as it comes onto the market. It's a shame that the S24 got this Exynos again in Europe. Battery life is also better on the S23 because of the CPU. I'm switching from the S22 because the battery life is a disaster.
Greetings from Not so Sunny Germany 😊
Still no update on the S24 yet… 🤷♂️ I personally prefer the S23 between these two.
@@RedskullPro This is so sad for such an expensive phone. There is currently no real argument for the S24. Maybe the AI, but that's just a gimmick at the beginning

@@RedskullPro I just did it. First was 1.724.087, second, 1.612.073, and third one 1.587.085.
Only the video recordings are better or slightly sharper on S24.
Would have tanken the s23 but Vodafone kicked it out and sell them not more tho had ni choice! Well after 2 years will I keep it only for dex and go back to Sony also change the provider. But luckily is the exynos this time not as shit as the one as in the s22 😅
S24 vs Pixel 8 please! )))
Didn’t keep the Pixel 8 😅
Im affraid that Samsung may downgrade de S23 with an OS update just to make the S24 look attractive
I wouldn’t doubt it. Apple seems to do the same to iPhones every year when the new iPhone comes out
You dont like exynos ok...but dont say its laggy...stop lying
Exynos 2400 is more powerful than the 8gen 2
No one likes exynos. They always perform worse than the snapdragon counterpart with more heat and worse efficiency.

S23+ is a great phone
Photos taken on S24 have slightly more details
I like the video on the s24. The s23 had that typical muted/cloudy lens look. S24 looks clearer.
Interesting take. Thanks for watching!
Indeed.. your termed it perfectly.. the "cloudy lens look" .. you get that cloudy lens look on all Samsung phones (varying degrees).. that's one reason iPhone camera scores over Samsung.. if you compare iPhone videos vis-a-vis samsung you ll notice that always
The contrast on S24 is too fucking much you cant see in the shadows at all
From what i gathered to all videos ive seen, exynos is shit when you are gaming the battery will drop fast. But its ok if you are only watching vids or browsing.
That sums up the exynos chipset pretty well
What I saw, is that S24 better than S23 in photos and videos
Same
Really?! Did you not see the super shaky videos from the S24? 😱
Maybe when s23 got the OneUI 6.1, camera software will get better?
Still happy with my S23 I will switch at the S25 time
That’s a great plan!
They seem to be almost the same. The main feature is 7 years of support in s24.
I wonder how many people will keep a phone that long. 3-4 years is definitely doable but more i don’t know
Exynox not run good more than 2 year so 7 years update 😅 cant handle
thanks for talking about the fact the little rounded edges are more comfortable and better to hold
it is completly idiot to change the design for those squared, rectangular edges which are not good ergonomically, not comfortable, like it adds literally nothing good
samsung making idiot design choices to copy apple, useless and sad
nice video, just : I think benchmark results really aren't things to really take into consideration that much, if the real usage is good
this exynos is not the best chip that's for sure, but it seems to be MUUUUCH better than the 2200, and it is very good
battery difference against the snapdragon seem very minimal and that's good too (and GPU performances are better on exynos, good for phone gamers)
let's not forget for the cameras that the S23 has 1 year of updates behind, while the s24 is completly new (and we know samsung improve cameras after launch), in your little images it seemed the exynos version did better in the night photo samples, but daytime true that for now the s23 (in your samples at least) seemed much better, more colors, better dynamic range...
BUT it seemed overexposed a little more on S23 sometimes too
anyway, let's wait for some updates for the s24 exynos
upgrade from s23 is totally useless, that's for sure, but I am pretty happy they are starting to improve their chips, having some competition is good
I will kept my S23, juste change the case and the protection on the sscreen. I think Exynos is a mistake.
100% agree
Exynos is a bad joke 😵💫 they must save quite a bit of money using this chipset over the SD Gen 3
@@RedskullPro you re totally right. Congrats for your nice works with your video. Cheers friend
No point switching from S23 to S24

100%
amazing comparison for Europeans

not worth it if you are upgrading because of camera, but if you are upgrading from s21 and older you shouod be good.

Too many gray hairs!!
s24 usa has 8th gen 3 but nice video comparison
Yeah you guys are lucky
The s24 brightness seems higher in your comparisson. This could influence the results quiet a lot.
The screen brightness? Except for the video filming part the screen was on manual mode and set to the maximum brightness on both phones.
@@RedskullPro thats the problem. Maximum brightness is way brighter on the s24 (2600nits) vs s23 (1750nits) and of course uses more battery. A fair comparisson would be both at the same brightness or both on adaptive settings to get a realistic usecase. I would guess they actually perform around the same at the same brighness.
@@Milchschndde you're wrong, the S24 only gets brighter in certain use cases like HDR content and peak brightness in small white areas. I'm using and comparing both phones for over a week now and not once could I make out a significant difference in brightness between the S23 and S24, not even in direct sunlight outside with adaptive brightness turned on.
The S24 is just a disappointment, perhaps not as much with the S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version, but the S24 with Exynos is just an extremely weak "upgrade". The focus on AI gimmicks is just as ridiculous, since the large majority of AI functions will come to the S23 very soon as well, and Samsung will only artificially limit some of the functions to the S24 series so they can say there's some upgrade with the it in the first place.
The S24 Ultra is a halfway decent upgrade, but S24 and S24+ are just really lame. The 7 years of upgrades promises is also just a nice move to distract from the fact that the hardware is almost identical and was essentially just forced on Samsung by Google's decision to offer such long update promises, which are basically meaningless for most people since virtually nobody will keep using the S24 series until 2031. Weren't we told that smartphones won't exist in a few years any longer and that they'll be replaced by superior technology lol
@@leobroski94 it looks brighter in the Video, I stand by that.
Yeah its a boring next generation with irrelevant benefits but so are every other releases. Upgrading a phone every year was always a bad decision because the lack of improvement in one year, nothing new here. I dont get why you buy the s24 in the first place when you already own a s23.
The ultra looks good yeah but I hate the size and the edges. Actually had to return mine because it was that bad in my pocket. Much bigger than my s21U and less comfy which is sad, because I really liked the camera.
@Milchschndde the S22 to S23 was a big and significant upgrade, mostly because of the Snapdragon processor. Without Samsung's trade in offer, upgrade deal, 1 year of free Samsung Care and 15% student discount I wouldn't have considered it. But since I would only have to pay 200€ for the S24 like that I was considering it, but even that seems too much now.
S23 looks better than s24 why they changed the size because s23 are harmonic
Ufs 4 vs ufs 3 no válido==
Buying s23 now is better idea because you can get it cheaper.
Much cheaper!
I will never buy a phone with exynos again, I returned s24 plus

Very biased review against S24 just because of the Exynos processor.
Because it’s trash 😀
Not good battery comparation..depends of many conditions. You have app for test about battery.
Well, this was as realistic as I could do it. A combination of all the apps used throughout the day 😀
This comparison is horrible.
Da wird die Laufzeit verglichen und gesagt, sie wäre beim s23 besser. Guckt man sich aber die Daten an, ist diese aber zumindest ähnlich, wenn nicht besser beim s24. Seltsame Wahrnehmung. Auch der Rest ist irgendwie unsinnig erklärt. Hauptsache das s24 schneidet überall schlecht ab…
