Report the facts. The judge had an unlawful exparte meeting and got caught. This lawyer will never spend a day in jail but this judge will suffer the consequences of his misconduct.

DONOVAN THOMAS PARENTS ASKED THE STATE ATTORNEY TO HELP FIND HER SON KILLER BUT REFUSED TO GIVE THAT INFORMATION TO THEM . EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ENTITLED TO KNOW WHO KILLED THEIR SON. STATE REFUSED TO LET THE FAMILY KNOW. WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?
The issue is that the judge had a meeting with a sworn witness with everyone present but the defense attorney. The prosecutor was present, the judge was present, but not the defense attorney. That was inappropriate and unethical if true. The judge can’t put the defense attorney in jail to find a leak in his office.

@@RedBunnybaby there are judicial review panels in every state that punish judges. It’s always a panel of other judges that decide if another did not follow the law.
This Judge has just given away the trial to appeal and is probably going to be hit with some legal repurcussions - which are completely warranted.
The poor jury must be all confused.

I've watched a lot of trials and I've seen desperate defense attorneys employ all manner of tricks in an effort to get a mistrial or sway at least one gullible juror to side with their client.
That's not what happened here. This Judge and the Prosecution have been doing very unethical things this whole trial and finally the public is paying attention.
Imagine your on trial for your life with the possibility of the death penalty and the judge, prosecutor, and the witness are in room having a secret meeting without your attorney present.

A judge can't have private conversations with one party without the other party being present. Those are basic court rules.
