Hello Marian, you can use a regular sewing machine or a serger for a more professional finish. My regular sewing machine is the baby lock verve and for a serger I use the baby lock vibrant. 🤍
Hi Justine, the straight stitch before the elastic is a temporary basting stitch that you will remove after placing the elastic. It’s simply to keep the front and lining in place when applying the elastic. For the rest, you will always use a zig zag stitch when sewing swimwear. I hope this explanation helps. 😀

so helpful! one question, why do we not include lining for the back piece?
The back piece is such a small surface, there is no need for lining. Also, it’s much more comfortable to wear this way. 💚
This was the most informative tutorial I have ever watched!👏🏽👏🏽 Thank you so much….Can I ask, what are your settings for stitch length and width?
Thank you so much for the feedback! Stitch length 2.5, width 3.5 🤍

Hey! Can I use a serger for this tutorial?
Yes, you can! However, you will still need a regular sewing machine for the basting stitch.
