They need to charge visitors $20 to use that road. The money can be used to improve the road, build parking areas and maintain popular areas. Residence can get a permit to travel for free.

Simple hire tow trucks to tow away illegally parked vehicles and use the profits from the tickets to the county to upgrade roads and parking areas in Hana. I don’t want to scare away tourists but there are rules to be followed and if I was a local in the area I wouldn’t be happy. Better yet have a community meeting in Hana and see what the locals want to do. Oh shoot our politicians don’t so that type of thing damn . Malama Aina
Wow this is sad. Is much beauty there. It’s been over 30 years since I went; I was only 15. I was fascinated by the beautiful rainbow eucalyptus trees. I used to tell people about them and most people didn’t believe me. They thought that something like that couldn’t exist. And that was 20 years before the internet so it was virtually impossible for me to prove it to them! 😆! I used to stress out so much when everyone doubted my description of the beauty of those trees lol! I’m very passionate about them lol. Now I can google them and at least see their beauty in pictures. And no one can doubt me anymore. Man I miss Hawaii. It’s been about 20 years since my last trip and that’s WAY too long. Out of all the places I’ve traveled, Hawaii is the only place that makes my heart ache to go back. I just watched some lava flow videos. I better go look for some videos with my rainbow eucalyptus! 🤘🏼🔥

I went to maui and did the road to hana. And it didn't look like thst. People are too rude now
