This brought a tear to an old man's eye, I remember my mucker big Skin 🙏 inviting me to my first ever IRB reb do. They blew my socks off, and It was then that I became a massive fan. To see two of Gerry's siblings take the centre stage and owning that stage. Tell's me that he isn't just one of the best songwriters of my time, but he is also undoubtedly one of the greatest teachers. TAL 🍀💚
It's a song about Thomas Mc Elwee. He was put in jail because he burned an innocent woman to death in front of her son. Then you have songs about him trying to rewrite history calling him brave. Pathetic.
@@hibee2k11 not at all a Loyalist. Proud Catholic who has not been brainwashed by political bullshit. Nice try though..... @@irishrebel5736 Would you have any idea, where I could get a listen to Paul Sheridan singing "Before The Deluge"..? I had it on a cassette tape about 10 or 12 years ago. I think the tape was called "Gathering of The Bands" Iv looked everywhere for Paul Sheridans version of it. It's brilliant. He says a short poem before the song on the tape. If anybody else who sees this comment, and they have a copy of it, could they please upload it 🙏🙏
Singing about a man who went into a shop and burnt an innocent Mum of 3 to death in front of one of her young sons who caught fire too. Yeah let's rewrite history and portray him as great. Absolutely pathetic. R.I.P. Yvonne Dunlop.
You're right the Sinn Fein band are trying to rewrite history. They don't tell people about McElwee murdering Yvonne Dunlop, they want him portrayed as dying for the cause. Problem is that they have to air brush 1696 murders out of history. They have to airbrush the genocide against protestants in the border counties and the fact that the Provos murdered more Catholics than the security forces. They also have to airbrush out people like Jean McConville and all the others who were tortured before being shot. They may try, but they won't succeed.

Thomas McElwee was a coward. A murderer. Bobby Sands should have refused to allow this subhuman trash to participate in the hunger strike. McElwee was also a bumbling idiot who was no threat to the RUC or the SAS. Pity that the SAS didn't get to him before he committed the brave republican act of murdering Yvonne Dunlap.

How would Allah have any relevance in Ireland? St Patrick brought Christianity here in the 5th century. That won't change.
