Mike had been stressed out since he hadn't seen Maxwell for months. He wholly funded his child’s upbringing, but Sarah prevented him from having a full relationship with Maxwell. Mike is the biological father of Maxwell, not the legal father yet since she didn't let him to sign the acknowledge of paternity. So, he need to file a Request of Order to the court to declare him as the legal father to have the visitation right and the parental right., but she filed the objection to his request to the court. Then, it became talk of the town.
Mike gave interview about this issue to the press on Sep 16, 2020. This clip is a part of the press conference.

The case couldn't be closed since Maxwell's mom filed the objection to his withdrawal. She agreed to his request to sign the acknowledge of paternity but they need to negotiate about the joint legal custody and discuss in detail about the alimony. For signing the acknowledge of paternity, Mike need to wait for the court order. The next mediation is scheduled on Dec 24, 2020.

The mediation took more than 8 hours but some issues couldn't reach an agreement. The court scheduled for the next mediation on Jan 12, 2021.

The mediation took all day long. Finally, they end up with this final agreements as the followings:
-- Mike is the legal father but Sarah gets sole custody.
-- For the schooling, Mike and Sarah pay 50/50 from grade 1 to grade 6; After that, let Mike and the child discuss on schooling and Mike pays the full amount until college
-- All day-to-day expenses are on Sarah’s responsibility
-- Medical expenses and health insurance are on Mike’s responsibility
-- Mike has to sign the acknowledge of paternity within 30 days from today (Mar 4 2021)
-- Sarah will allows the child visitation 2 times a month without specific number of days and it must be scheduled 5 days in advance

Actually the mother was very lucky too. I mean Mike has always been so responsible towards her and Max. Not every man that do the same as Mike did, is responsible like him. She could've just live her life with her son and keep a good relationship with Mike.

Max literally has the best dad in the world. His dad is an actor , a very busy man who has to fly between countries to work his ass off to raise max up well. But even when his tired he will always spend time with his son no matter how exhausted he is because he is not always there

Maxwell's mother is demanding house,nanny,driver and increasing the monthly allowance,etc.

I don't think the custody issue is over the school fee its about something else. Also I heard but I'm not sure that she is pregnant again with I think her significant other.

[Translation] Today, I decided to withdraw the Request for order for the joint legal custody of my son. My intention was I didn’t want to only pay for the expenses. I’d like to have the right to make decisions for my son. And importantly, I just wanted to have a chance to see my son as normal as others. But the issue was protracted and impacted many parties especially my son.
I feel sorry for my son to face stuff like this which is the issue between the parents. Due to Maxwell’s mom’s decision with her family about Maxwell’s school without consulting me, I won’t interfere and respect their decision.
These days, let me save money in my son’s bank account to give it to him once he reaches his majority. I’d like to give the money I earned to my only one child.
At this moment, I’d like to stop all the issues. My son will get hurt if he grows up and sees the news like this.
When Maxwell grows up, Daddy hopes you understand what I decided to do today. Daddy didn’t take the hands off and never take the hands off of you. Just these days, we might not see each other. But Daddy still insists on what I said. This place is always yours and forever yours.

Seeing him suffer like this tears my heart so much. A loving Father who would do anything for his child,their is not many fathers like him he deserves to always be in his childs life. I've had two failed marriages with two children one from each and both fathers were abusive and have never done anything for my kids I've done it all, they chose not to be in their children's lives. I have been both mum and dad to my 19 year old daughter and to my 9 year old son. If i had a partner or ex partner like mike I'd be jumping for joy. Maxwell is so lucky.
