Every country will face this sooner or later and this is a good thing. If global population goes down to 2 billion than current 7-8 it'll be much better for environmental and people. It's just that the way to get there is really painful due to aging. Once the large old population start dying off the population pyramid will become stable and less competition for resources means people will start having kids again.
The states in Southern and Western India plus major cities are already at of below replacement level fertility. The current and projected Indian population growth is being inflated by the uncontrolled rate of reproduction in a few northern states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, which are some of the poorest in the country. It’s only a matter of time before female education and family planning deep into these places either through government and local initiatives. Once the population growth of these two states are brought in line to the national level, India’s population peak will come way sooner and the decline will start way earlier. It’ll be like in China and Thailand where the population ages and decline before society as a whole becomes rich. Also, the South Indian population is rapidly aging which will allow opportunities for northerners to migrate further south and fill the spots. Hundreds of thousands of the country’s most educated are permanently migrating to the West each and every year so India will need to seriously tackle this brain drain issue or else it will affect its development goals.

Nehru's made some mistakes. Had he opted for universalization of education in the 1950's, our population may never have even reached the one billion mark by this time.
the population will decline but not very soon. since many parts of india are still agrarian. I think not before 2050. I think legal immigration is very much accepted in india. But not when india itself isnt able to provide a certain living standard to its own citizens. Every urban place in india is full of immigrants from within india and india isnt homogeneous like japan. It is like europe. Every part is highly different so even domestic immigration within indian states is actually similar to international immigration. Cities like bangalore are a great example of immigration within india where around 50 percent of the population doesnt even speak the local language there. Historically, India has been a shelter to immigrants from around the world like the parsis and malabar christians and also mon people who have mixed with east indians. The part that india doesnt allow immigrants is a recent phenomenon with regards to bangladesh. It is different from immigration in the west because, the immigrants are in extreme poverty and india too isnt a developed industrialized economy to support them. Even there the issue is not about immigration, it is about the legal aspect. Many immigrants have illegally settled in the country because the police and security is too weak and corrupt. They are used as a vote base for certain parties.

I think it will decline SIGNIFICANTLY faster and sooner than these records suggest.... Indian corporate sectors also take japan as a role model and we all know the work culture there.. It is making more and more young indians to move out of the country permanently.. Also people seriously overestimate Gen Z lol.. With our intense lack of physical lifestyle and bad diet choices we will be lucky to see our 50s and have more than one child.. Not to mention arrange marrige is hated among youth too.. Plus also the suicide rate in both student and working age group and rising health issues in youth.... Also we'll have HUGE decline in life expectancy coz it's evident.. I’m giving you an example…
This is GREAT news!
I don't think it would take 2065 before 2045 it might start decline
Btw map wasn't correct
India's population should've started declining by 2010. This retard ideology of right and left bastards has destroyed many things in this country. Govt should ban reproduction.
India will grow old before it gets rich

Show the full map of India because Pok and Aksai chin are our inseparable part.
Nehru's made some mistakes. Had he opted for universalization of education in the 1950's, our population may never have even reached the one billion mark by this time.
Ummm not bring real. Breeding like rabbits
the population will decline but not very soon. since many parts of india are still agrarian.
Access to media might still change the mentality of the people living in the agrarian areas.
The Map Depicted in the video is not the Official Map of India.... Kindly change the map or take it back.... Its spreading misinformation and hurting my nation's territorial integrity

Our Government has taken steps to keep social security bill manageable.
We have a habit of saving and till date the family structure exists.
Real problem will happen when this structure slowly breaks down as value systems change.
It's already broken because of inflation.
And I think it should shrink.
no that would be terrible. shrinking population means less young people who can work and take care of the older population.
Fertility rate is 2 kids per women..but nowadays many are childless, so it would decline before the tentative time...in south part of india its less than 2
Plz change or Bour the map of India that you used in Video 😢😢
It's Amazing that you have compared india with japan which has quite similar trends 🎉
@abhisheknahar-vk3lj the definition of trend - " a general direction in which something is developing " it doesn't mean india and Japan tfr at same level.
Because of poverty caused by Britisher India's population grew higher than japan
@abhisheknahar-vk3lj See what was the percentage of emperors out of total population and the percentage of poor people out of total population u will get ur answer
@abhisheknahar-vk3lj when the middle class population is less and more of extreme rich and poor people it's natural to have large families
Cost of living is going up dramatically. Must avoid marriage and kid.
Not only population but India should break in small small countries in Future.
We're so f*ing broke
I think india population will peak at 2045
Might be earlier
Yes you are right these, un predictions are always weird and wrong they predicted in past that the Chinese population will drop in 2035 but it started to drop in 2020
India population will half in 30 years
China will disappear before that.
no chance.
alimony hungry weomen are also increasing in India and according to our laws, men even if is a beggar has to give alimony. so government is doing excellent job of dropping our population by restricting men from getting married.
Many beggars especially from northern states have biological baby even without marriage at court.
Your useing the wrong map for india
You have uploaded incorrect map of India
No actually you are wrong the year is not 2080 but 2050 as the health of women are decreasing as for fertility
Rn also there are a larger percentage of women who are going through fertility issues and the number is increasing instead of being steady or decreasing
And also the inflation
And increase in prices in every sector of the country
Also the dowry system though banned but still practiced, but there are changes also happening as the government is running schemes for girl child called bati bacho bati padho and stuff like that and also their are high number of women and men in general in metropolitan cities of India who just do not want to get married also the divorce rate is increasing to drastically there are many other reasons for shrinking of India earlier than predicated also increase of infertility rate in men
I think it will decline SIGNIFICANTLY faster and sooner than these records suggest.... Our parents in 40s are suffering from diabetes, BP, goitre, and whatnot compared to our grandparents who didn't knew sickness till 45 lol.. No amount of medicine can cure lack of disciplinary and ignorant lifestyle (add in steriod users of this generation's gym freaks) we gonna die all soon 👍
Bullshit AGE-ist generalizations and arrogant assumptions about Gen Z or your parents generations compared to older ones. Same tired old unoriginal false strawman stories. Older generations were the supporters of Nazis and fascism and murdering people just for being Communists and lynching black people. Only reality-denying antiscience idiots look back and all history with rose-colored glasses.
We could use a little shrinking

Let's make 3 child policy in south and west
Will you help with the expenses? Most people choose not to have kids because of the cost of living. Not necessarily because they can’t.
@@yoongi-fied1173 wake up to reality only city people that upper middle class people care about the cost of living. Do you think up and bihar people are rich having 4 kids.
@@yoongi-fied1173 upper middle class needs to go to private school because the govt is too low for them and needs to go to an expensive hospital instead of a government hospital for that they pay insurance need vacations need luxury life privacy and what not.
Even rich people are having 1 kid or no kids these days because they don't have money no they choose having not kids or less kids is easy for their lifestyle.
It's people that need to change not the expense
@@unknown.m.e That’s exactly what is wrong with our society. We believe having kids is more important than finances. But once they get into real financial problems, they start blaming everybody else except themselves. School and hospitals are not the only expenses. Food prices are increasing daily. Also, what about emergencies? Savings? After all it all depends upon what each couple wants. No one can dictate otherwise
@@yoongi-fied1173 i agree but these north states are doing the same thing see what happened in south having 2 children became normal because of govt policy and cost of raising them. Look at the north they have an over population and they get more money from the central at the same look at basic wages in those states it's very low even now a lot of Biharis are getting hired to do manual jobs because they are cheaper than other states. People have to work harder to get less than what other people make in the same country. Who is at fault. On top of it they are still doing the same shit and taking more money and getting more seats in politics so they have the upper hand to get money and other stuff they need.
What did we get we lost our voice in india because of our policy and we are paying tax so they can use them for their personal gains.
Are you paying tax so some shitty politicians take that money and build luxury houses and fancy cars or give free money to the majority non tax payers so they can get votes.
Indian metros are too costly these days to have kids.. unless you make a lakh rupees per month after taxes forget having a child, for second child you need to make atleast 1.5 lakh or more per month after taxes.. 1 lakh = 100,000. hence more and more people are worried to raise kids, this is not good as India may get old before getting rich
India can barely feed 300 million population with good lifestyle. No need to worry about declining population.
China should mind its own business...
