Best arm and packing system I've ever used, to bad my municipality switched to new way sidewinder with a similar design but the functionality it's not as good as the labrie and route times are now slower

I agree Labrie is the best I had an 2012 Autocar/Labrie with the low hopper I loved that truck but my company retired it once the new 2022 Heil's came in I hated those.

@@SirX27 2 cab harnesses already and engine harness pretty much all new wiring. Throws a CAN2 code once a week and the whole dashboard stops working all of them we’ve had have been no good

@@frankmischler4424 Sounds like my old one man the only gauges that wouldn't stop were the air pressure, and fuel the rest used to go off and on throughout the day, and it also had electrical problems with the joystick and it has had a couple or so harnesses replacements but it always went right back to doing the same thing until they scrapped it.

how do you speed up the speed at which the arm moves up with the can to dump it inside the truck?

Hi bluekeet,
Is your truck operating within the usual 8-12 second cycle time? If not, you may have a more specific issue, but we just wanted to make sure. Anything quicker than the recommended cycle time might jeopardize moving parts.

Anywhere between 10-14 seconds, depending on whether or not it has a regeneration valve option.

I run 6 second cycles routinely with my ZR and do 160-200 lifts per hour depending on my route

Hey man I have a question what can cause the arm to go down slow like really slow. After picking about 240 cans at regular speed my arm starts to slow down any suggestions?

Depending on the system, it could be several things. Failing electrical components will sometimes act up more once they get hot. Mechanical components can also bind up after getting hot.
(Labrie) Electric-over-hydraulic actuator for the hydraulic spool valve or electric signal for the arm down function.
(Heil) Air shift cylinder for the hydraulic spool valve or air supply for the arm down function.
Spool in hydraulic valve for arm down function could be sticking.
Further from our team if your truck is a Labrie:
Labrie uses an electric-over-hydraulic controlled spool valve for the arm functions. So… it could be an issue with that actuator.. There is a manual override on that valve for all the functions that can be used to verify. A properly trained technician can use that override to fully actuate the valve to test the speed of the arm. If the arm runs at normal speed with the manual override, then there is an issue with actuator or the signal going to it. If the arm still runs at a slow speed, then there is a problem with the hydraulic lines or arm up/down cylinder.
