I love a old and big dunkan coral colony! I am completely in love with these old corals, from the beginnings of aquarium art! Large and surprising colonies of Dunkan corals, or massive Fox corals always catch my attention! I’d love to hear more about these old aquarium friends! How about asking Julien about, for example, the Elegance? Learning about Fox's relationship with Bubble and with Torchs, Hammers and Frogs was very interesting, as well as the curiosities about Dunkan! I loved the video! Thanks for sharing this information with us, Reef Builders!
I love to hear Julian explaining corals! I hate when it lasts only about 8 minutes! We need more and more videos like this, please. Perhaps every single time there is a change in taxonomy a video should follow as a normal documentation parallel to Reef Builder's article. This is only a suggestion, my friends. I know it would be more work, but that is what makes a difference! Working hard to bring essential serious content!! I love this video! Twice a week should be the least to publish videos like this about corals. Cartoon names are a normal practice to many scientists today. We need to revert that! We need to give the example to the scientists now! Challenge them! Julian is the best example to any scientist!! The future of this hobby also depends on knowing the proper updated scientific names of the corals and the details of their morphology for proper captive care. That is the hobby! Besides... it was also one of the main things that drove Jake's passion. The true legacy. Just a suggestion, my friends. 7:46 New polyps, not heads! Sorry, I had to do that for Jake! Hehe... Lovely video! Thanks very much!!!
Totally agree on the length of this video! I believe Julian was being pulled in a bunch of different directions that day as he was also speaking. We just need him for 6 hours! Thanks for the suggestions Alex! ~Remy
Turbanarias are my favorite corals. Pagoda cups, Scroll and any other! I’ve wanted a frag of the late, great Jake Adams LA Lakers Scroll, for almost a year now! Hopefully one day!
But it is exactly this relationship between coral genera that is fascinating and helps a lot to understand the behavior and requirements of the specimens. Perhaps this is a clearer type of information for more experienced aquarists, but I reinforce the request! If it's possible, it would be fantastic!
More Evie please..with her knowledge of the hobby and enthusiasm she's a great addition to the team 😎
You got it! She's out in the field as we speak. Tons of Evie videos on the way! ~Remy
Julian is awesome. I can’t wait to hear him speak about his saltwater pond at Aquashella in November. Those Duncan corals look amazing! 🤩
We agree!! Thanks for watching Danny! ~Remy

You got it! These are my favorite kinds of videos as well. ~Remy
Love this style of video. Keep up the great work.
It's fun to highlight under appreciated corals! ~Remy
I would have liked for this video to have been longer. I can never get enough of Julian’s knowledge.
Agreed - this comment has been said a couple times! Noted for the future! ~Remy
Great episode. Love Julian videos. ❤

@@ReefBuildersVideo 🙏
Excellent 😎
Thanks ✌️
This was a lot of fun!
We need more Julian!
Are there any other LPS corals, aside from fox coral, that *don't* have sweeper tentacles?
Greetings, pleasant hobbies. Does the salt in the aquarium water evaporate or does only the water evaporate? Does the salt content change?
Just the water evaporates...salt remains.
Thanks for your reply 🙏🏻
We need a Julian tank update!

How bout the heronensis though? That's my favorite turb! ~Remy
I still have my signed first edition copy of “The Reef Aquarium” by Charles and Julian. Yes, I’m old LOL!
No idea there were so many Duncan colour variations!
Right?! I love the green and purple "spoked" variation. ~Remy
Can Reef Builder please convince Julian to do more videos on coral taxonomy.
I don't think that would be hard to do! We'd have to update every 6 months...cuz taxonomists. lol ~Remy

I wish this video was an hour long
Me too! Listening to Julian talk about corals is music to my ears! ~Remy
I miss Jake Adams
We do too! ~Remy
