In the last several years I quilt more than I construct garments. Now I have 2 small granddaughters to sew for and hope to learn some new tricks with this machine. My 21 year old Singer Serger went belly up and my husband bought me the Pfaff Coverlock 3.0. Your videos have kept me sane. I never was a fan of threading these machines, but you make it so much better. The design of this machine helps, but your videos are great. Thanks.
I just picked up my new serger a few days ago. This is an absolutely FABULOUS video. I followed along, and got my serger working first try...and...I have never used a serger! The owners manual that comes with the machine is quite detailed, but seeing Margaret actually threading it is a huge help. Can't wait to watch the rest of her videos. Awesome!!!
Well done! Even though I took classes where I purchased my Pfaff, this video has been a lifesaver for me. I like that it is concise with not a lot of extra chit chat like most videos. Margaret does an awesome job describing each step and is very easy to follow. Thank you, Margaret.
Hi and thanks a lot! I have a Quilt Ambition 2.0 and your tutorial has helped me greatly. I’m very pleased with my Pfaff and I must admit that this Coverlock 3.0 you’re showing right now is very appealing too. Thanks for another great tutorial! 😎🌸
Love all your videos Margaret. Will you a video showing how the use the additional presser feet that can be used on this coverlock machine such as the blind hem foot, cording foot, elastic foot, beading foot, taping foot, and shirring foot. Thanks.
I like the Pfaff coverlock machine very much. Currentley I own a simple cheapToyota locker, but I am planning to sew a lot more in the future. Also for my future job. So I think the Pfaff cover/overlock combination machine would be a perfect machine for me. All I have to do is to safe a lot of money and whatch all the Pfaff reviews of this machine on youtube/internet :)
Hi Margaret, I love your rewiews: simple, clear and So useful!!! I own a 4.0 and always get confused by tension setting.......maybe 3.0 is easier to use (thanks to your tutorials). Have you tried pfaff coverlock 4.0?
Great Video. I need to see also and this was great tutorial. Thank you. I'm also looking at this machine and will get one soon.. Good tip on where to put that other needle and not to thread over the handle.
Thank you for this helpful video on the Pfaff Coverlock 3.0. Have you or are you going to make one on the Pfaff 4.0? I would like to know if it's worth paying extra for the 4.0. :-)
Hello, I have the Pfaff Coverlock 4862. It's a wonderful machine if I could just get it to sew. I have studied the owner's manual for days, and I'm sure that I have it threaded correctly. I am trying to do program 2, the four thread overedge stitch. It will cut and stitch, but at the end you just see the four threads coming out of the back of the presser foot. The stitches won't remain in the fabric. In the end you just end up with a piece of fabric that has been cut. It's maddening! I'm ready to tear my hair out !😵💫
I would love a video on how to thread the pfaff creative 4874 serger! I bought it and now I'm stuck lol! I can't figure out the threading.... help please!
Can you do a demo on how to thread a Pfaff Coverlock 4862 Serger? I am really struggling with a used machine, but it really has not had much use. Today, I have been at it for nearly four hours.
Hi Margaret, I'm so glad I found your video! I just got a Coverlock 3.0 and am absolutely new to using an overlocker. I would like to ask one question, please. When you change the tension dial from A to B, C, D, etc, do the little tabs move positions? I see that mine twitch, but do not get to move and stay right in the middle, so I'm not sure if the tension dial is working. Thank you so much for your time!
That is a very helpful video but I still find the threading difficult. I was told that you have to thread the needles last. Does that really matter? Do you have to unthread the needles or the whole process? It would be lovely to see the lower looper threaded in white so that it shows up better in the video. Hope you can help.
The videos are very good, but I am totally stuck as I have no good video or written instructions as to how to asemble the very large, binding attachment. Is there any videos out there? Any help would be wonderful.
I wonder why nowhere you can find review on the Overlock 4.0 ?? I see a lot of people searching information about this machine. I am a Pfaff lover, I love their design and the fact their stitches are so pro and beautiful but I wonder why there is nothing or so few about this Overlock 4.0. I think Pfaff should wake up.
Hello! After watching your videos I went ahead and bought the machine 2nd hand, unfortunately it is missing the coverstitch table B attachment, the extension table, cone holders & waste tray of cover! It was from a house clearance apparently so they may not have known what went with it! Do you know if there is anyway of getting these at all please? Thanks! Looking forward to experimenting with it! Wendy
I own the 4.0 and from what I see on the videos yes the threading and setup are almost exactly the same except for the mechanical setup knobs that have been replaced by electronic settings on the 4.0. Hope that helps!
HI Thank you so much for your videos. I have a huge problem with my serger Coverlock 3.0. Perhaps you'll can help me. When I sew with 2 needles, the left needle do no stitch. Do you ever have this problem ? It's the forth time my machine goes to technician and I don't know if it's a machin problem or me who not use correctly my serger (I hope you understand me, I don't speack english, sorry...)
Please Please...I need help with my Pfaff Coverlock 4874. Does anyone know of a video on threading. I can get two threaded but those tricky ones are giving me fits. Thanks in advance

Thank you Margaret for a great video once again. And now I know how to use that needle threader gadget, it’s been bugging me.
Thank you so much for a great tutorial on the Pfaff Coverlock 3.0. I've been searchng a long time for one that was in English.
Keep up the great work.
Thank you for your incredibly helpful videos - they were the deciding factor on my recent purchase of this machine. I'm in the UK :)

Do you have any videos on threading the pfaff 4852?
That is a very helpful video but I still find the threading difficult. I was told that you have to thread the needles last. Does that really matter? Do you have to unthread the needles or the whole process?
It would be lovely to see the lower looper threaded in white so that it shows up better in the video. Hope you can help.
Always thread in the correct order; upper looper, lower looper, then needles.
The videos are very good, but I am totally stuck as I have no good video or written instructions as to how to asemble the very large, binding attachment. Is there any videos out there? Any help would be wonderful.
could you please demonstrate the Coverlock 4.?
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Have now subscribed to your channel.
