I think a new armor set would be too much and adding to much content past the ender dragon would be bad. Maybe a new biome and/or structure, mabye a piece of armor similar to the turtle shell or a new weapon but nothing else. The End is called The End for a reason its not just called that for ambience, no its literally the end.

    • @FriskyPotat0
      @FriskyPotat0 10 місяців тому +9

@@jander2684 I mean, it's the end cause it's the third and final dimension, doesn't mean it can't/shouldn't have more going on. It's remained unchanged for so long and now that not only the nether but also overworld are both son fleshed out it's super underwhelming as an end-game exploration to just be flying between the same flat islands with nothing but chorus trees, endermen and the occasional end city. I agree that armour may be a bit much but a few extra biomes and unique unusual looking items with special use cases like the turtle shell would be really cool - maybe even a shulker-boss guarding it (or you get the materials required to craft it from them)

Upside down buildings on the other side of those islands? Maybe new creatures that live upside down? Maybe buidlings that pop in and out of existence? I dont think they should put in armor but instead new weapons for pvp.I always thought that they could just put in more utility weapons instead of letting players use stuff like rods or water.

Like a huge fan that u use to push back entities, or a grapling hook or a Kunai rope dart like scoprion. An artifact that you would hold and fire would damage it instead of you.

One Idea I have is a new rare ender eye that can be put on shields, that allows you to hold one mob by sneaking while shielding from a few blocks away, this would let you transport mobs or kill them by chucking them into the void. I bet you could kill someone by let a warden out. I have few other wacky ideas for the end .

@@forrestgorby7980 The word “End” doesn’t necessarily imply a barren wasteland. Though I agree the eerie sense of loneliness the End inspires is good, I don’t ever go there unless I want an elytra because it’s boring. More gameplay value needs to be added. That’s the truth.
If the End got more challenges, plants, biomes, and mobs… it would be better. We would go there more often. We would have more fun there. It would be a more involved experience and feel like a part of the game.
I don’t get a feeling of “barren alien wasteland” from the End. I get the immersion breaking feeling of playing in an unfinished area of the game. An incomplete prototype that was added years ago and doesn’t live up to the game that exists today.

    • @OnePoundBird
      @OnePoundBird 10 місяців тому +143

the issue with this though is that the bow, trident, and crossbow already have enchantments that generally escalates as players transition from iron to diamond to netherite. the shield and elytra also are good enough on their own, their only enchantments, unbreaking mending and the curses, don’t affect how they function much.

    • @RealityBased

If they add another tier of armor and tools they also need more challenges to use them on. Netherite already feels like an op endgame item at its stage of the game even though you can get it before the ender dragon. The end update in my opinion should come after mojang adds some level of challenge and difficulty to the game.

Considering how much of the end is warped or even partially inverted overworld concepts, I'll do you one better by saying that this material shouldn't be an ore but rather something organic. Like the fruit-like core of some gigantic, ancient seeming and bizarre organism, potentially one feeding off the void in some way.
Would be really cool to have an upgrade path that doesn't make a thing harder and stronger in the standard material sense, but rather makes it function in a more dynamically powerful way with a look that makes it seem conceivably alive. Symbiotically enhanced rather than simply reinforced.
Make a crossbow into a harpoon launcher or giving a bow multiple charge stages, that sort of stuff.

Make the armor the same but their effect different, netherite doesn't burn in lava but it doesn't really make sense for end armour not to. This is a good idea but it should be expanded into a combat update of sorts, the armors shouldn’t directly better then any other set, like leather is still useful with powdered snow, gold is the fastest tools, netherite should be a decision, if you want to be a melee brawler go ahead but if you want to be an archer go with gold which can now boost your speed and adding ‘enderium’ makes you faster, jump boost, and maybe slow falling if you shift. But it’s durably is lower than maybe even diamond.

The end is supposed to be a desolate wasteland, a broken world perhaps corrupted by the ender dragon. If we make it filled with life and vibrant alien ecosystems then that wouldn’t feel right, you can have ecosystems and plants, but they should have a sense of emptiness, corruption, unnatural feel to them, the end should feel like an oppressive void where everything has been consumed by a corruption, what looks like what could have been vibrant jungles is now empty besides for some unnatural trees even to this realm and mobs that make no sense in such an ecosystem. The end should feel like, the end; a world corrupted so heavily by the dragon that that’s all that there is left, corruption.

    1) New alien looking plants (Nettle Bulds, mussroot banks etc)
    2) New Biomes that must keep the end looking eerie
    3) A new liquid like water but purple coloured & toxic for players to stand in
    3) New hostile mobs that match the enderman theme
    4) New structures like purple looking crystal shrines or giant chains holding some islands together
    5) A Cave system within the floating islands that contain a strange new ore & other features
    7) New dark particle effects added to the landscape
    8) A new race of villagers called the faceless ones that you can trade with
    9) Add strange whispers as a sound effect in the background
    10) Just like weather in the overworld, I would add a sort of geomagnetic storm with purple lighting strikes that happen randomly, maybe even purple acid rain that will damage players unless they seek cover

The problem with an end update is that the eerie feeling of nothingness is the true experience of the end. You have to somehow preserve that.
Since netherite protects you against the main threat of the nether, end upgrades should maybe protect you against the void. By letting you teleport back 5 seconds or the last safe place. Or maybe if you die, the things teleport to you (instant or if you are close by) so you dont lose them. Or give you something end themed, like short Levitation or teleporting straight down to avoid fall damage.

    • @remor698
      @remor698 10 місяців тому +36

One way of making things eerily empty despite there being a lot more to it would be if the lively nature was inherently tough to access for the player. Flip the idea of the overworld and just make the easily traversable parts as barren as the underground while making the underside a voidborne ecosystem, hostile to conventional means of traversal.
In that way, void countering end gear would actually have a similar effect to netherite in the nether, letting you feel more at home because you are better guarded against its greatest danger.

If you're going to add new biomes to the end, the WORST thing you can do is pull from stuff found in conventional nature. No giant mushrooms or weird trees. That immediately robs the End of its alien feel.
I'd also keep any new biomes as sparse as what we currently have, using the same limited colour pallets and only sporting a few features each. Since the End is intended to be traversed using Elytra, you can spread everything out in a way that makes it all feel isolated while still ensuring there's plenty to see.
I'd especially focus on weird geological formations that are fun to fly through. Like identical pillars of obsidian topped with hoops of shiny black glass, or geometric chasms crisscrossed by skinny bridges of purple stone. For new flora, I'd keep it as weird and un-plant-like as the chorus plants, while also ensuring only one type of plant spawns in each biome to keep that barren sensation that's vital to the End's loneliness.
For structures, I'd use MC Escher as inspiration. Upside-down monuments clinging to the underside of islands, cathedrals full of zig-zagging staircases that go sideways or bend back on themselves, and clusters of little floating temples comprised almost entirely of columns. I'd populate these places with only a few artificial-feeling guardians, akin to the Shulker. Off the top of my head, a mob with reversed gravity that walks on the ceiling of these temples sounds very fun.

Nothing immediately recognizable as anything you already know - Like how chorus plants don't actually look like any plant. Buildings with stairs and hallways in odd directions, branching out in ways that don't make sense to traverse by normal means.
I don't know that sparseness in particular in necessary, so much as unfamiliarity - I think even dense forests could work, just not of trees. Terraria Calamity Mod's astral infection has a vibe that I think would work great - purplish black monoliths instead of trees, with glowing orange and blue spots. Dark, synth-heavy music, minimal natural light. Beautiful, but strange and unfamiliar. I do like the idea of relatively minimal biomes - High variety, but not lots of different things in the same place. Very minimal color schemes. There can be several colors, but everything has the same set of colors in each place.

3 biomes I think would be perfect for the end:
    Obsidian/newblock spires:
A massive voidspace filled with large end platforms stemming off of giant prisms floating in the sky at various angles almost like those mushrooms you can fine. for a reason to go there, the spires could be one of the places you find the new ore, and the block they're made out of could get brick varients.
    Inverted Forest
taking advantage of the new verticality of the end, a moss grows on the underside of this biome's platforms, and there are notably "tall" trees hanging from the bottom with leaves that spread out like jungle tree leaves as platforms for you to be able to stand on.
the endermoss should have a particle drip like lava to imply that these trees collect dripping minerals from the island.
    Ancient Dragon grounds
Large bone skulls can be found across a land with notably rough terrain. That plus either more chorus or a new bamboo type plant make it clear this biome is meant to be explored in the sky. in this biome you can find a structure called the dragon's nest. It's made of obsidian and crying obsidian, and contains a shulker box with some end themed loot, and a dragon egg will spawn nearby in the weeds of the biome.
I think that structures that imply dragons *used* to be in the lands would be great, but im not a structure idea guy

An Inverted forest would be a good idea
Inverted Forest - There could be another food source found in the Inverted forest that messes with the gravity the player experiences. The player could consume a berry or root of some sort and then the player can walk on the underside of the main platform where the biome is hanging or inverted from. There could be a time limit that the player would have to watch. If the new root is farmed in the Overworld it would poison plants in a certain radius. That would limit its use.

It seems like a killing field and I wouldn't mind more interactions with the biome and the Endermen. This is an unpopular opinion but I only play Minecraft for the interactivity and creativity of the biomes. Once my little base/kingdom is established I connect with other Villages and the combat gets old.

Particularly in regards to The End. Unfortunately, recordings and screenshots don't really do a good job of properly conveying the feel of the place.

If they do add some type of end villager I would want it to be extremely rare. Like keep the majority of the end the same but add some type of oasis biome where there is a strange abundance of plants and where end villages can be found. I think if the biome was as rare as say a mushroom island, then the end as a whole would still feel just as lonely. If not lonlier from the villagers perspective as they're the only life for thousands upon thousands of blocks.

If Mojang can make an End update that both preserves that feeling, while also making it fun and interesting to explore, that would be quite the feat!

I think desolate is especially a key defining trait of the end, and it falls in with the hostility and alien points you made. I don't think that the sparseness as it is right now is a good thing; having to travel literally 3000 blocks to find an end city, only for it to not have an elytra is super frustrating. I'd love the sparseness be taken in regards to the terrain; there's little foliage or only occasional trees, making it feel more empty despite the vast number of additions and new blocks.
Perhaps the elytra can be reworked a little bit, as the current design also shuts down minecarts and makes multiplayer servers feel a little worse, but that's more me wishing.

Personally, I think The End _needs_ to have a sort of barren and lifeless feel... Its called "The End," so it makes sense for emptiness to be the theme. They need to revamp The End in a way where it _looks_ visually stunning while giving that same alien, lonely, and empty feeling. Not empty as in lacking content, but empty as in devoid of life. I don't want them to do a repeat of the Nether Update, where they just add a ton of new plants and stuff. For the Nether it works because it feels alive in an unnatural and creepy way, but the End should have only sparse plant life in very specific biomes, like with the Chorus Fruit. I wouldn't mind if they had a rare Chorus Tree to get purple wood or something though, but they would have to do it _just right_ in order to fit the vibe.

    Hello Garret
This has got to be one of my favourite video essays.
The intro sequence is so good (the music you composed sounds like a blend between brian eno's music for airports and C418s volume alpha). Throughout the whole video, the chosen music & footage along with your relaxed though introspective demeanor really immerses one into the sort of mystical foreign mood that is the end.
The analogy comparison to the nether's transformation is a good way to put it; instead of it being hostile as the nether is, it is to be foreign and surreal as it is the end. Though I think along with it being foreign and surreal, it is also mystical, and so, not only should their be alien remenants & elusive mobs, though there should also be elusive villages occupied by those who are native to the end (similar to 'little elves deep in the magical forest' mood).

    1) the armor/ore/enchantments gotta be a different path than the overworld and the nether
    2) The yellow thing inside the shulker could be that ‘alien’ and it infests all the new mobs or is that thing that makes them move. Add a purple/blue/red End Golem that has different abilities
    3) Add a castle at the end of time. It’s where the golems could patrol and could give the theme that someone tried to conquer the end… but ultimately it was a trap as they could never leave without slaying the dragon

You're definitely right about adding verticality in the end for the elytra. I think another thing to pair with that would be a launch pad block that flings you in whatever direction you want to go, up, forward or to the side. Would give a bit less finite version of fireworks while being balanced since it has to be placed to work. Plus it'd add some really nice options for the rest of the game.
I guess aswell they could add an item that functions like an automated water bucket fall save, but with how OP that is it should probably be difficult to make and one time use like the totem.
Both of these things are also super on theme for the end with the shulkers levitation. Though I'd prefer it if it was a new enemy type that is a lot more focused on levitation so shulkers don't get like 7 different uses. Maybe a levitation crystal that you'd get from a difficult enemy type that can be "bottled" in shulkers shells.
Oh and after all this time, a use for the dragon egg would be a really nice touch.
Sure you probably shouldn't be allowed to raise your own dragon (don't care still want it) but maybe you could add in a giant nest structure where a dragon that was the mate of the og stays with the rest of the eggs. He could serve as a harder dragon fight but if during the fight you place the egg in the arena it would turn him passive.
(I've forgotten if you can get the egg multiple times, so if you can't then just make it so the egg spawns everytime you beat the respawned dragon. Though I assume that's already there.)
Oh actually yeah that'd be the best of both. Have him function like a tamed creature and let you fly around on him to keep that verticality theme, but keep him exclusive to the end. That way it doesn't change the meta for the rest of the game, just the new additions.

    • @Fabo__HD
      @Fabo__HD 10 місяців тому

On the note of the 3 upgrades, each set should have its own perks
Obviously, Netherite already has protection against being burnt in lava, so maybe give fire resistance and wither resistance, too?
Then, the end upgrade would give protection against the void (maybe a keepinv effect or a chorus effect if you are too far from solid ground and falling, whether after a shulker moved you up too high, or whether you fell into the void) and teleport you when a projectile hits you, similar to how endermen teleport away
Finally, sculk makes you invisible to wardens no matter the noise, protects against their attacks, and perhaps, with the way how sculk is in the underground, negates more/all fall damage

    Ideas:
-New Ore: Enderite can be mined and applied to Diamond Gear. If you fall into the void, the upgraded gear will rise up and float at a certain height above the void. If you die in any other way, you drop it like normal. If the item falls in the void, however, it will rise up and float. In order to apply it to gear, you'll need an Enderite Template which spawns in End City chests. The ore can be found in the Dread Lands biome.
    -New Item:
    1) Totem of Keeping: Dropped rarely by Lost, this Totem will allow you to keep your inventory upon death. Consuming the Totem.
    2) Shulk Shield: Using an Enderite Template, you can apply a Shulk Shell to a shield to increase its durability and protectiveness.
-New Resource: Dragon Scales: 1-2 Scales are dropped by the End Dragon. You can apply it to an Elytra along with a Dragon Template, which increases its durability and lets you boost faster and further with Dragons Breath. You need to find the template in a new dungeon. Once applied, the Elytra now appears much like the wings of the Ender Dragon.
    -New Biomes:
    1) Chorus Forest: New tree and wood type, has a purple color.
    2) Dread Lands: Dark grey moss grows on the end stone. New Mob spawns here. You can find End City Ruins and Crashed End Ships. This is also the only biome where Enderite generates.
    3) End Plains: Islands are covered in spots of purple grass with Chorus plants growing. End City's spawn more often in this biome. Essentially the vanilla biome, just with some added life.
    4) Inverted Roots: The top if the island is bare, except for roots which sprout up like trees. New dark grey/black wood type. Underneath you can find the trees themselves as well as a light purple grass. Essentially an upside down forest. In order to grow the trees yourself, you must plant them on the bottom of a block.
    -New Mobs:
    1) Lost: Primarily found on the Dread Islands. Unlike Endermen, you need to look at it in order to keep it passive. If it spots you and becomes hostile, it will attack you unless you're looking at it. If you maintain eye contact for too long, though, it will teleport away. Potentially even out of sight. It acts as a guardian of the rare resources found in the ruins. Not much health and dont deal much damage, but managing large enough groups is difficult. They act as a Guardian of Enderite.
    2) Shulk: Found in Inverted Root biomes, they are a source of meat in the End. They drop Shulk Muscle, which can be cooked in a furnace. They're much like larger Shulkers. Their shells can also be used to craft a stronger shield.
-New Liquid: Ether: Ether spawns in pools on the bottom of Inverted Roots biome islands. Unlike other liquids, this one flows up. Which can sometimes create upward waterfalls. Potentially a way to reach higher islands without Elytra if a waterfall is close enough to one or if players place a bucket.
    -New Structure:
    1) End Castle: A large inverted Castle that spawns on the bottom of any island. This is where you find the Dragon Template in order to craft Dragon Elytra. Lost and Endermen guard this biome.
    2) Traders Depot: A single structure that appears much like a shop. Item frames can spawn with some rarer items that are usually sold by wandering traders, as well as a pen for llamas. It can spawn in any biome. Guarantied to spawn a Wandering Trader.
    3) Ruins: Ruins of End City's and Crashed End Ships that spawn in the Dread Lands. Rare resources can be found here and are much easier to get.

That's a fair point, because a lot of mods does make the end turn into a vomit of colors.
However, the End on an already unnatural color scheme: Purple, Magenta, Black, and Chartreuse(Endstone). I'd already imagine in my idea that we will have something equivalent to Crimson (Magenta) & Warped (Cyan) for two plank colors we don't have, and would be hard to fit anywhere else natural : Purple & Lime.
Yellow seems to be occupied by Bamboo, and I'll accept that as a substitute for, "Yellow Planks."
Purple - Purple Heart Forest - Endermen marooned natural overworld saplings, and somehow got crossbred with Chorus plants to adapt to a realm lacking soil & water. Again, Crimson occupy Magenta, so it will be strictly in-line with purple dye blocks.
Lime - Zen Forest - Completely native alien environment within large swaths of Ender Islands. Azealua Trees would need to be turned into its own wood set, occupying strictly easy-on-eyes mossy green. Mojang knows how to develop textures for Lime, in a way that it doesn't kill your eyes.
Zen Forest Biomes will have oozing grays, browns, and asteroid fragment boulders within the surface. This way, blistering lime green does not stabs your eyes, only when you expose Zen Tree logs & turn them into wood products. It's not going to appeal to everyone, but we've been slowly getting, "Dyed Woodplanks," in the form of new trees.
Perhaps even a new liquid type called Goop, which doesn't like Water & Lava, but will poison you for being non-native to the End. A whole tech's worth of liquid that can be customized for, "Potion Water," and have biome dependent colorization for Custom Biomes.

I remember watching videos about potential exotic alien life forms, like silicon-based life form. We already had the Endermen, which is allergic to water, the ingredients for life for no reason, the shulker, which hide in floating box, shoots levitation bullets, and both of them rely on teleportation to get around. May be we could expand on this idea, mobs in the End would not follow any conventional rule, the would have strange crystal-like bodies, relies on teleportation and flight to move around the desolate and dsiconnected landscape of The End, now updated to introduce much more verticality.

I would love if they kept the lifeless desolate feeling of the end by not adding any plant-life. I think the overworld and nether are the life-inhabiting dimensions while the end is supposed to be barren. A datapack called nullscape executes this very well and it also adds verticality to the end, something that is very interesting to navigate and very fun to fly through.

I would love if they made it more like space (I've always imagined the end as outer space) so like adding ice and crystal biomes that would fit this vibe would be so cool. I love the idea of verticality and being even more expansive but keeping that eerie dead feeling. I want this dimension to feel alien and other worldly. Loved the video and keep it up!

I've always thought the end should be more like Xen from Half-Life, perhaps resembling the Black Mesa version we received. It shouldn't be an exact replica, but it should capture the same themes and feelings. Xen, with its strange, otherworldly vibe between galaxies, in my opinion, really suits the Minecraft End-a place that feels alien yet serves a purpose, if that makes sense.

I have played a datapack that adds more end biomes and I will say, the verticality, or lack there of is a key factor in the vibe. At least for me. Layering of islands vertically gives a sense of mystery, while the current end feels lonely and foreign. The mystery isn't bad, but I do think it would throw the vibe off a bit.
P.S. The datapack I played is called Nullscape. I do think it fits the end's vibe better than the datapack you showed in the video. If you want to check it out, I highly recommend it.

My idea for a structure they could add to the End are broken bridges. These end stone and purpur bridges would be stretching from one outer end island to another but would be broken in the center to show that it hasn’t been used in a long time.

2 "biome" I had in mind were the gravity island and teleporting lands. The gravity islands would be a series of small islands that would have their own gravity field that when you come in range, you would start to fall sideways or upside down, and on the islands you could find gravity gems to make new items. For the teleporting lands, there would be blocks that blend into their surroundings, and when you step on them, you randomly get teleported to another one of the blocks, and you can mine to make new traps that teleport people where you set up other blocks.

I'm totally obsessed with all the ideas in this video. The idea of them keeping or enhancing the alien feel or the desolation of the end dimension is so exciting to me but I fear that they have been heading away from that direction for a while now. I want the end biomes and structures to be genuinely impossible to comprehend, with almost like a cosmic horror element to it. The idea of a new armor set that doesn't one-up netherite but is instead a branching path is also something that would do so much for the endgame, almost like picking between Mending and Infinity on a bow. I really hope we see something like this one day, great video

One thing that drives me crazy is when people discuss and end update they want to cram this dimension full of crap! I'm so glad your ideas kept the original idea of the dimension in mind. The end is a wasteland floating in the void and keeping the waste land concept not only makes arriving at an end city rewarding but keeps the empty feeling. I hope for some weird exotic end stuff comes but spread out across the end. Your ideas were wonderful! A shulker helmet is in order!

This just came to my mind, but I think armor sets that improve different "classes" for the endgame would be awesome. Like you could have an armor set that buffed the damage of bows/crossbows but didn't have as much defense this would be your ranger class, then like a new set that buffed the attack speed of axes or buffed the cooldown on shields as well as providing more defense this being your tank class, I think it would be interesting as it would change the progression of the game. You could even provide different variants of all the armor that we currently have to provide different bonuses creating new progression. Maybe this would be a little too far out of minecrafts traditional style though.

I really liked your suggestion of more verticality in the end. I've not heard that suggestion before and it is very fitting for the end. It matches with the elytra and the shulkers mechanics. I think sourcing ideas from the twilight forest is also a good suggestion that mod has few interesting vertical dungeons and utility items like magic beans, the uncrafting table and the dark tower devices (vanishing blocks and Reappearing Blocks that become ethereal when activated or builders that extend) would fit the alien tech vibe.
I also think the Aether mod has a lot to offer an end update: ridable and passive flying mobs (like the moa or aerwhale) would fit the theme well. The cloud blocks which break your fall or project you up might also fit.
It is worth saying that although those mods are good sources of inspiration it would not be good to just copy what is there. We want those mods to still exist and have value on their own but also for the end to have its unique feel. I think more ways to travel around the end is important, the teleporters or bridging are not good enough options before the elytra or if you lose your elytra.

a cool addition idea I have ontop of this would be a form of anomalous liquid found in the end

it would be a cool explanation to how the obsidian pillars were built

When you mentioned end cities, I got a really dope idea. I feel like canonically to me, the end is the overworld but towards the end of time. I think there should be a biome simply called the Memory Range which is just a clusterfuck of ancient ruins making up the terrain of the biome with all very different architectural styles, towering spires, maze like corridors, stairs that go to nowhere, bridges that criss cross and intersect like hanging vines in a jungle. Between these ruins, ender-men and strange constructs wander the ruins, you see faceless ghosts watching you and roaming around aimlessly.

I think it would be cool to really make the end feel like an alien planet. I’m imagining huge geological formations, rare ores that can’t be found anywhere else, maybe even oceans filled with some foreign liquid that can be bottled and brewed into potions. I also agree with what you said about verticality. I think making all the islands on the same plane is a big missed opportunity for adventuring that can only be done with an elytra. Great video!

I really like your approach at an End Update. It needs to stay mostly empty and alien feeling. The strange vibes need to stay.
I think having Enderite (or my name idea, Enderium) being a sidegrade of Netherite is a great idea. They will have the same damage, durability, defense, etc, but their unique properties will be different.
Netherite doesn’t get destroyed by fire/lava. So instead, Enderium could be immune to explosions.
Netherite armour has knockback resistance. So instead, Enderium armour could reduce ender pearl and kinetic energy (elytra) damage.
I feel like the tools need something too, so Enderium tools could have less durability and less enchantment luck than Netherite tools, but have faster mining/attack speeds.
Now for the End itself, I do think it should have biomes, but I don’t think there should be anything like grass or foliage. The End feels very dead, so having that kind of life doesn’t make too much sense to me. We can definitely have a rare few plants/crops or even trees, but they should be spread out and without much ground vegetation.
For structures, there should be quite a few different ones, but they should all be very rare. This adds to the excitement of exploring the End, as every time you go there you may have a different experience by finding a different rare structure. Some of these structures could have a similar mechanic to the vaults from the Trial Chamber, where everyone in a world can get loot individually from one another.
My final idea, which you mentioned, is having the End islands at various heights. Although the End is all separate floating islands, it feels very flat, as they are all at the same Y level. I think every single island that spawns should be at a random height, and some rarer, more special islands could spawn really high up, making them hard to reach without an elytra.
I really hope you all like my ideas. The Enderium thing feels like a great and fun balance to me, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks for reading.

Hello ,TheGeekFactor I really enjoy your content and have ideas for the end dimension, that being the end islands variations inspired by real life islands:
    -Small Ilets(coral islands irl)
The common small islands floating wide open in the void sometimes surrounding larger islands
    -End Stone Islands(limestone islands irl)
Uncommon medium size islands that are found sometimes with small islets around it and may rarely contain ores.
    -Volcanic islands(mostly the extinct kind)
The rare large island containing many important ores for surviving the end and sometimes a sort of oasis biome that rarely spawns
    -Continental islands
The hardest and rarest to find, surrounded by smaller islands from top to bottom, containing many important ores, the lushest biome(oasis of some sort) is where it is usually found and most mobs are found here with structures as well.

I think a great idea for new structures in the end would be some sort of floating structure way up near the build limit, encouraging players to look way up in the sky and risk staring endermen in the face, any maybe another structure buried in the end islands, only really discoverable by peering over the edge of islands and staring down into the deadly void to get a glimpse of an unnatural formation hanging below.

I like the idea of the end being populated with 'barren' biomes, similar to the Savanah and Badlands. No new wood types, or at least trees. But perhaps instead of a naturally generated tree, we can find saplings in chests (as though migrant brought them over for wood, but couldn't find soil to grow it. And there could be rare structures of large circular shallow pools surrounded by end bricks with a single water source block flowing outwards, as though its the only water source for miles around. Around these you would have the only other vegetation, scraggly purple, lavender, or white weeds.
High above, you could have flying islands composed of 'End Sand', another gravity affected block that will resume its descent the moment you break the weeds that grow above. Perhaps these floating islands could have a rare, albeit valuable resource, End Crystal, that grows from End Clusters (like Amethyst).

I think the end should have kind pf a mystical magical like vibe. Something that seems almost enchanted, but also eerie at the same time, like maybe you feel alone there, or that just something seems off, but you can't quite figure out what. I think that they should also make actual end crystals. Not like the ones used to heal the ender dragon, but actual crystal formations, maybe even some of different colors. Those are just some of my ideas for what the end should look like though.
