I would opt to putting in Kid and Killer. Really missing out on the red rushers to close games faster and apply late game pressure. This way you can play a slow tempo game from early to mid and then hit them with a 7k rusher that can be brought back by Gecko.
I didnt want kid/killer in here originally bc i didnt have space but bringing it back with gecko is spicy. I dont know if the 7k swing would be worth 8 don if im trying to end the game that turn but the tempo could be worth. 🤔
@@DeezTCG in reality you want to save 2 kid and killer for a final swing but kid and killer gives you an 8 don option with Gecko if they don't have anything to remove or if you can't remove anything at the moment. Keeping pressure is way more important than putting slow bodies on the field, especially when you don't want to waste your removal options while also trying to establish a board and Kid and Killer is one of those cards that you have to answer to ASAP and he can just be brought back the next turn with Gecko. Imagine a 7k Lucci swing with 2 don, 8 don to summon another gecko, 7k swing with kid and killer after resurrection, and another 9k swing with your other gecko. That is so much aggro pressure that black inherently doesn't have, while saving your removal for later. I would try to fit 2-3 Kid and killer in the deck since the deck list is tight.
About a minute in - thanks for going straight to the gameplay. 🙏 Lol I've been wanting to go back to messing with Garp since OP02, and couldn't figure out the approach I wanted. I may give this a try and see how I feel about it. 🤔
vegapunk missplayed this matchup hard. first round he should have put the searcher on board to get a card back. Onwards from that point he was to far behind to win. Garp looks not bad tho
Yeah putting the Lilith on board would’ve helped for sure but it does change the entire game. They probably were more scared of rush cards killing them which is understandable.
Garp main here! I did well in set 7 but set 8 is very tough. Everything is too fast, swarm and all. Still figuring out a new decklist. Having just 4 life is hard

@@DeezTCGyeah I like AnimeALX’s point. Just ditch it early game with the 0 cost event, then when they least expect it, it’s back from the grave haha
Do you have a list for it?
@@ohthatsnotme867 nah not yet, but probs gonna cook one up soon

Red Nami that puts a rested don goes hard in garp
2c Red brook. 2k counter and on play give 2 rested don to leader or character so he works as a -2 also.
yeah its the only good one cost for garp haha
@@lfaul10 why would you play that instead of better cards
have you tryed finger pistol from EB01?

Hopefully you love my version of it :)
@DeezTCG It'll take me some getting used to, but a couple rounds of self-testing haven't felt too horrible so far.
I’d actually play 8 cost dragon
It’s a rush gives two don aka minus two and is a 9k body
I can just attach 4 don to my leader and get that 9K swing and minus 4 though
btw if you didnt know great erruption is banned. gotta take a nother card.
he's not using banned great erruption
@@LorenzoParisi-ri1zh start of the video you can see it and also mid video i saw it
i think you mistook it for meteor volcano😊
@@qhwack im fck blind mb 🤣
I wish I could be using great eruption, that card is nuts 😂
Why vergo over other navy 2ks? Any reasoning behind that or just cause
Just because it’s navy. Tashigi isn’t worth it since I can just attach 3 don and it does more than the tashigi. So rarely a 5k body is the play on 5.
@@DeezTCGwhat about tbone just to have another KO option
No 5 cost luffy for end game?
Nah, it didnt fit the feel of the deck. I would usually want to protect myself or remove the opponents characters usually
