I think it's sabotage. At this point, they should just stop, make content and let modders make unofficial patches. Their in-house work isn't cutting it.
I seriously cant even play Helldivers right now even if I wanted to. It keeps crashing on drop in. When if I do drop in and start playing Im overwhelmed by crazy insane spawn rates. Team members immediately rage quit. The CEO this morning acknowledge that some players might be experiencing a different experience with the patch. You think?!
This patch has been super frustrating for me. For whatever reason, this patch broke mic support for linux users. I thought my headset died or I had some weird linux related problem and spent a couple hours trying to figure out how to get the microphone on my headset to work only to find out it was relatively common and due to the patch. Then I’ve been experiencing this thing, where I can play with my PS5 friends for about 2 matches, before the game kicks me and I can’t reconnect with them no matter how many times they invite me, or a restart the game, or reboot my computer. Per the spawn rates, it’s been ok at level 7 with my friends, but one of my first post-patch games, I joined a level 5 game with randoms. I joined a game in progress, and there was massive hordes of automatons on the ground, combined with 4-5 gunships in the air, which when I shot them down felt like they were quickly replaced. Not too long into the match, I get killed and can no longer get back to my support weapon through the hordes, which was the only weapon I had capable of taking down a gunship. The whole experience felt dramatically beyond a level 5 mission.
Haven't tested bots, but bug diff 9 is easily doable if a bit busy. Was pounding out full completes in 20-25 minutes with maybe 2 or 3 deaths total last night on Helldive
the crash yeah, thats a big issue, i’ve been getting that a few times. but the insane spawn rates, cry about it?? play lower difficulties if you cant handle the higher ones, some of us are having an absolute blast being swarmed and having last stands and just enjoying the game. stop whining you arent getting your points.
The +/- 5 seconds is fine to me, with the dependency on planetary conditions. Conclusion, the patch notes are wrong. Current behavior basically unnerfs the QC on cold planets.
Two theories: -Two different devs got assigned to make this change and they both put it in separately 😆 -Hellmire is just a “double hot” planet and Estanu is just a “double cold” planet lol
If you're interested in measuring times more precisely I'd recommend just using your screen capture times. You can read the exact time the shot leaves the barrel then read the time when the overheat sign disappears. Both can be read to the nearest frame.
Ive noticed that pretty much all the rocket launchers including quasar does more damage if you are walking/diving forward it only takes 1 shot to strip armor on charger legs with this method probably a bug but normally it takes 2 standing still
Reddit figured it out-because damage falloff starts as soon as the projectile leaves the barrel, the Quasar Cannon only does something like 749.99 damage to Charger Behemoth legs, but that gets rounded down to 749 since all damage decimals round down in this game’s code. The legs on the Charger Behemoth have 750 health so it just barely isn’t a one-shot. If you walk or dive forward while firing, the projectile also gains the additional speed, which pushes the damage up over 750. Unfortunately the damage only seems to be calculated based on projectile speed at impact, not projectile speed relative to target at impact. So even if the Charger is running at you it doesn’t take any more damage.
I could, but it has a slight delay on OBS and you can use the mission clock as the in-game version. I prefer an external source under my direct control usually as it serves as a check for me.
Thought you were going to talk about damage increase when moving forward. Pretty sure you spoke about that on your stream today. Either way, lots of weird stuff every patch. Just more examples of why they need to give us a test server =/
I disagree, 2.5 is HUGE in intense combat, the 5 seconds changes things very wildly. Tbh 20 second cooldown is impossible. I'd rather take a recoilless, Spear or EAT. All of which deal more damage than the Quasar anyway
They aren't, or they supposedly aren't. They are trying to cater to casuals, but failing hard lol. Lowering the spawn rates etc. Was supposed to help them cater to the casual audience
@alexlane9099 I agree with you on that and numbers unfortunately show that as players continue to drop off. Their fanboys are loving hard on them, but at the end of the day, I think they need to do more. Because eventually all they will be left with, will be the fanboys
I prefer to have an outside source from the PC, for more independent verification. It's why I will still apply an external device instead of using a stop watch applied to OBS lol.
Pretty sure the Meridian Black Hole is sucking out all the brain power of AH.
uh oh, looks like someone at Arrowhead didn't type it into the spreadsheet correctly lol on the bright side...supercharged winter quasar!!!
Yup lol
The devs dont know how to make intended change in their own game or someone is intentionally sabotaging game patches.. prove me wrong.
I think it's sabotage.

The engine is old and no longer supported.
Afraid this will be the norm until helldivers 3 where HOPEFULLY it'll be in unreal engine
Lol I think they're confused tbh
Lol, I ain't buying Helldivers 3 if it continues on this road
If they could just revert it back to its original cool down then the weather modifiers would make a lot more sense in my opinion. It’s pve 🤷🏾♂️
Exactly my thoughts lmao
Yes, and the devs said they want you to feel like a grunt, even though Helldivers should be similar to ODST’s 🤷♀️

Yeah patch has broken a lot of loading stuff for peeps, it sucks ass I'll be honest

@@northlandphoenixIt's been tough all around for folks. So I feel you on that

Yeah, I reckon so.
But the unnerfed quasar feels so good lol. They need to just unnerf it properly
Dev probably put the 5 in front of the decimal lol
Lol truth
Dam, thx for info, glad I'm not a Quasar Fan. I'm not the energy weapons kinda if helldiver. I love ballistic weapons and explosives.
Two theories:
-Two different devs got assigned to make this change and they both put it in separately 😆
-Hellmire is just a “double hot” planet and Estanu is just a “double cold” planet lol
Lol I think the first theory is more believable
Messed it up when they nerfed it to 15 seconds bud.
True
Lol hilarious! So cold planets un-nerf the Queso cannon... Lets liberate the cold boys! 😂
Pretty much mate
So that's why QC with "-2.5 reload speed" felt so much better
Yeah on cold planets at least
I was on Estanu last night and I thought it was cooling down quickly
So were we. It was super fast lmao

This was patched a long time ago my guy. This video is too old to be relevant
Just tried myself on Hellmire. It's 20s - cooldown is messed up.
Edit: Submitted bug report to AH, linking your video as evidence. Cheers.
Thanks mate. It's definitely weird

Noted with thanks. I love this explanation
The explanation given by Ryan is pretty good. It's weird but good

As someone who exclusively uses the quasar cannon, you just crazy yes.
Lol, based on responses, NAH. But hey, believe whatever you want to believe :P If I'm crazy. I need evidence proving me otherwise. Goodluck
I’ve switched to the recoilless rifle. It’s been great!
Glad you're liking it!
I'm trying the hold W meta tonight
Best to put a timer on screen for this kind of testing i think

I think that makes more sense and they should just correct the patch notes. This way they can't screw up something else.
Lol I feel that. Seems the trust in Arrowhead is nearly 0
I have a list of 20+ bugs I’ve noted in just 3 hours of playing. Couldn’t take it anymore after 3hrs. I’m tired of being a test guinea pig

That one I cannot reasonably verify. But it does work afaik
@@RealAsianRobot
It was meant to be 2.5 but instead we got 5.2... cause you know... dyslexia 😅
Maybe the patch notes were suppose to say 5 secs, 2.5 secs isn't that much of a dif on a 15 sec cd
