This was a comprehensive review of the freeze dryer, thank you. Your boys are good eaters so I expect the freeze dryer will pay for itself to feed them on their outdoor adventures.; the meals would be good to take and store at the cabin too. Congratulations on the twins, what a wonderful blessing to your family. We all look forward to being there watching this season of your life. ❤😊

Thanks for sharing your Freeze Dryer & how you use it... It was an awesome review from the whole family in Alaska's beautiful scenery. Makes me so happy to see children eating good stuff instead of mac & cheese or chicken tenders. Excited to meet your daughters. Take care

I can not wait to watch this video! I have SOOOO many questions🥴 I have been needing one of these for so long to make meals/items for my food storage, make items for my children in Texas (for their crazy weather) thank you for creating this video as I am a new follower of your channel. Lauren, what a great video, I think you covered absolutely everything anyone would want to know about a Freeze Dryer!
If I had the chance to raise my kids again, I would definitely purchase one, your video is that good!
I too think that the little hike out to the river was a great way to test out the food & any of the questions you have had!
I believe this video will get many views from all different areas on UA-cam...Great Information!!!

I was wondering how many ounces would fit into a bag because I was thinking it just didn't look like enough for a meal at least not for one of my family members lol. So very interesting! I also saw someone cut up ice cream sandwiches and freeze dry them....she said it was delicious. Wow now I just have to figure out how to afford one! Love your sweet family and so looking forward to meeting those baby girls....still can hardly believe it all!!!

Thanks for taking the time of making this video and presenting it to us. You did very well of keeping my attention to this video. Are there more portable machines? This concept is great. If my husband is able to get healthy enough to travel, this would be great for a camper. It would make less trips to the store and save on eating out. Where do you get the special bags? What kind of oil does the pump use? Just a few questions. Thanks again to the Hamm family.😊

I have been freeze drying for 3 years. I found you should always start out with less water when rehydrating your food. Slowing add more if you need it. The store bought takes to much water and then you have to pour some wster out in the end.

Great video Lauren. I have one question. How loud is the freeze dryer while in use? I am considering ordering one but space in my house is limited so it would have to be in a room off the living room that has an archway and not a door. Not sure if during the process if the sound would so annoying I would not use the freeze dryer like I want to. Keep these informative videos coming. They are so much fun to watch.
