You're right, Hyunjin got more screen time then usual. I feel like this year has been the year of the dance line and especially Hyunjin with Miroh then Side Effects and now Double Knot. I feel like we have also gotten less vocal line, but I have a feeling that the next title track will be vocally driven.
This song is just a more upscale bside mv only difference is that they're performing it on music shows as a single. Most likely it will be a bside on Cle 3 Levanter in late November. The marketing for this reminds me of what Seventeen did with Hit. It's just a song that they likely felt strong enough about to promote as a single and maybe it was as equally considered for the title track so they released a MV.

I absolutely agree that this song is Hyunjin's. Felix's part is absolutely a killer, and of course Changbin and Han going off. I wish Chan and I.N had perhaps more parts, but I can see that in a hip hop style it would be more enlightening for the rap line. I think that the editing between the members switching could have been smoother, but the jumpy switches were kind of endearing. I enjoy the video and song a lot, the dance absolutely kills it. I'm glad they put in the rap line to the front in this one, especially for a title song. But it's a pre-release so they will come Strongeerrrrrr YAASSSSSS okay im calm :| They just trying to do every genre and sound they can do because they actually can do every genre and sound like it's their own... I didn't know much of Stray Kids' music before but this song got me hooked. I love how it catches you by the throat and never lets go. I love the ending as well: you'd expect a release but it keeps going with some more great visuals and choreography. I keep listening to it almost every day.
They actually already had a whole world tour (the Unveil tour) and the USA shows back in May were just part of that! They also went to Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe

My first exposure to Double Knot was the English version and as a U.S. Stay I would say it's in my Top 5. Of course since I don't speak Korean I can't know how closely the lyrics are mirrored as far as the vibe and intent, but I find this song to be one that really gets me pumped up and feeling empowered. It's a really strong song and I just love it. I love the choreo of tying the shoes and pulling them tight! I have watched several of your videos jumping around all over the place (as I appreciate SF9 and others as well) and I really enjoy your analysis and perspective! I feel that it has helped me to understand the groups better.

So my biggest thing about this song and video is the fact I think a large amount of us were expecting an ot9 version of 3racha’s double knot like how the mixtapes were originally 3racha songs turned into ot9 songs so when I heard they were doing double knot I got super excited but when double knot was released it was completely different from the 3racha version so for me I was let down from my expectations but when I look at it objectively and as if I never knew of the 3racha version this song is so good and I definitely love it I think for me while I love the song and video I get a lot of mixed feelings because I so badly wanted an ot9 version of the 3racha one and the structure, lyrics, beats, and pretty much the entire song is just a completely different song
This is the first of two comeback they will have in a month period. They will be releasing "Astronaut" in a month and then the actual Cle album with that. I had thought the same thing about the video production on this music video made it seem like it wasn't a title track. Maybe "Astronaut" is the real title track. However, they are actively promoting "Double Knot" on music shows, but they used to always promote two tracks per album prior to with their "I am" albums, so that wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

I am sorry if someone already commented that but (or if you already thought about it)... 1) there is a lot of indication about what's coming next in this video: the big Astronaut thing at the beginning and a lot of references to a "Take Off" thing (necklaces, rings, bracelets, words on the ground at the beginning, etc...). 2) Also, if you stop the video or play it at a very slow speed you can see some details when the image is glitching. The work put in filming and editing the video is not important as in their other MV because it's all about details and clues :) I totally agree when you say that Double Knot is a transition to the next chapter. Why? In this video, they're basically on their way for the "Take Off". That's why I personally think that we can see this MV as a transitional MV between Side Effects and the next one (Astronaut?) or the one for Clé3 title track (Take Off? Or Take Off is an Astronaut-related thing?), but I might be wrong. Also if you pay attention to the instrumental, you can easily realize that it gets faster and faster at the end... like if the whole song is a "build-up" leading to the next one. It's creating tension and I think it's normal if we feel stressed or smh uncomfortable (that's probably how they wanted us to feel). Thanks a lot for the video, PD, I was waiting for it! Only 3 minutes + but it is so intense that it feels a longer song. It sounds like a Wu Tang kind of hip hop full of attitude and swag or a 70s Plymouth sedan filled with gangstas. I find it a great tune showcasing their dancing. They can wow the crowd with choreo and not worry about stay in tune singing. I can already see how hyped the concert audience would be when this song is on.
It wasn’t actually a US tour ahah. Coz they went to places in Asia, Australia and Europe as well. So they pretty much did a world tour earlier this year as well!

I am sorry if someone already commented that but (or if you already thought about it)...
1) there is a lot of indication about what's coming next in this video: the big Astronaut thing at the beginning and a lot of references to a "Take Off" thing (necklaces, rings, bracelets, words on the ground at the beginning, etc...).
2) Also, if you stop the video or play it at a very slow speed you can see some details when the image is glitching. The work put in filming and editing the video is not important as in their other MV because it's all about details and clues :)
I totally agree when you say that Double Knot is a transition to the next chapter. Why? In this video, they're basically on their way for the "Take Off". That's why I personally think that we can see this MV as a transitional MV between Side Effects and the next one (Astronaut?) or the one for Clé3 title track (Take Off? Or Take Off is an Astronaut-related thing?), but I might be wrong.
Also if you pay attention to the instrumental, you can easily realize that it gets faster and faster at the end... like if the whole song is a "build-up" leading to the next one. It's creating tension and I think it's normal if we feel stressed or smh uncomfortable (that's probably how they wanted us to feel).

Only 3 minutes + but it is so intense that it feels a longer song. It sounds like a Wu Tang kind of hip hop full of attitude and swag or a 70s Plymouth sedan filled with gangstas.
I find it a great tune showcasing their dancing. They can wow the crowd with choreo and not worry about stay in tune singing. I can already see how hyped the concert audience would be when this song is on.
