Weirdly, I found TWO Paragons in my first exploration run of my latest game (plus two Hyperions), they were in a debris field in a system just north of the core worlds. Well, the Hyperions were nearby derelicts, but the Paragons were both in the field, and not visible as recoverable derelicts on the map (which just goes to show that you should always check debris fields when possible, because you can get some crazy stuff from time to time).
"I say Bottom Line cause i want good score with Tri Tachion" Considering the UI and datapad ARE provided by TT, you would think the occasional corpo dialog choice would give you at least 1 point of reputation to TT out of nowhere, which is funny for people who dont they are being spied on by TT, and terrifying for those who know.
The chill, the gameplay, the little stuff and tricks. In times where every seasoned player gets into 50+ mods you somehow manage to make vanilla fun. Your stuff is the peak Starsector content for me and I really hope there's more where this came from. Take your time though, you are the legend
Degraded Engines Enforcer XIV have trouble keeping up with condors and degraded Drive Field on Invictus means max burn of 10 without Ox support. I love how Dmods can totally break the game with Derelict operations while also making ships completly useless.

"Why doesn't syndria just stop selling fuel to the sector?" Because they make a lot of money doing so, and if they stopped, everyone has just enough gas to team up on them. Bros are within walking distance from everyone
Also Hegenomy has Nachiketa and Sphinx while the Persean league has Madeira and Yesod as their Fuel producing facilities. Heck often enough is cheaper to buy AM from Nachiketa since they have often a surplus sale of 1000+

@@Impericalevidence Sindria would stand a chance but for reasons Nex doesn't simulate, primarily that it would be politically disastrous. Internally and externally.
The ships and ai core from the tutorial are floating around in Galatia. That makes this start much easier after you do the first mission to get some money. With a "real" fleet trading becomes easy since nobody tries to poke you. Also Galatia missions are a good way to make some cash and the best thing about those is that they don't have a time limit. VIP transport does, but those are usually easy to do even with the starting bolt bucket.
Unless something has changed with the new version the debt with the spacer start NEVER ends. It merely increases as you increase in level. It would be nice it it was possible to end the debt eventually, or if you ticked over a certain amount paid it would fire an event.
It increases as level does... So what you're saying is that it increases as you get more money... Yea it's definitely a gold digger and child support like Jeff Bezos s wife lmao
I forgot the fuel cost to use a jump point because it's never never been relevant before. I assumed that would be part of the range shown on the map, but nope! Lesson learned.

The reason the fuel range seemed to lie to you is that it does not account the cost of jumping to hyperspace. Hardly anyone notices because it's not usually such a large percent of your fuel.
2:01:46 I found a guy in a lone Fulgent derelict in my last playthrough, I like to think they were a HEG-INT spy during the Second AI War who was tasked with sabotaging a drone shipyard, but things went awry and they ended up trapped there with a makeshift cryosleep and life support system they made with the Fulgent's parts and a Hegemony deep space survival kit.
@@bigbrainenergyguy It did change? If you watch it you'll see the sensor profile go from 50 (Going Dark) to 100 (Turning off Going Dark) then hitting an asteroid which bumped it back up to 398. I'm liking your pace! Also, I like your explanations about stuff from the game. I don't own it, but I'm an avid viewer and with those explanations I can talk like an expert. And it's cool.
My Captain's Log is a paper notebook I keep in the computer desk (old school ftw). Which is actually kind of hilariously appropriate for Starsector now that I think about it.
53:03 What happened here, is that the Survey equipment decreases the amount of supplies like heavy machinery and raw supplies you need, but not the crew amount.
I'm dying from watching you "smuggling" in magec and epiphany with your transponder on 😂 FYI if you read the small text the game actually tells you that no one is likely to bother you about your transponder being off in those systems. So you are adding an extra 1000 sensor profile for nothing. It might also be worthwhile to add 5 more crew and get militarised subsystems as well. Expanded cargo holds adds 50% extra supply consumption on civilian hulls too so that's another factor. Usually there's some good stuff in Epiphany that you can resell, at the very least they will almost always have very cheap crew, also sometimes cheap domestic goods or ore (yeah, I know ore is not value dense, I'm a multi-atlas user in most of my games) so you can make a profit in both directions. Selling marines at Epiphany and Chalcedon is also very profitable.

The reason you weren't getting "high burn" data was because without emergency or sustained burn, you just weren't fast enough (well, anything over 20 burn counts, but it takes a while to accumulate if your aren't going more than 30)
While 80% of stars are red dwarves, that doesn't mean it's the same across every area of space. Star Sector could just simply be in a sector of space that's populated differently.
It feels good that someone finally called the black market boring... Everyone was talking about bm trade like some awesome feature, but I never really found it interesting.
