Brilliant! I would never have thought about draping the bag over the top of the machine. This would be so much easier than removing the seams and re-stitching.
Good info. I have a machine much like yours. Would have never thought to take the too off of it to get a bag on there a bit easier. Also like how you used the little sticky hole reinforcements as markers. Great idea. Thanks for your help.
@@carasorellasewing when ever I use tear away and I'm pinning to the stabilizer I poke a hole in my stabilizer! Arrgh..... Does this happen to you? Or how do I prevent this from happening??
I have a 12 needle Happy. But many people only have a single needle, and there are creative ways to be less limited and still do fun projects, like hooping totes inside out. I did it for years, and it works just fine!

Thank you for such a great tutorial on embroidering a totebag!
what a great idea to use your gridded mat to help with centering the design. Never thought of that :-)
It's easier to me than getting the hoop grid out, since I'm always working on my mat.
This video helped me so much! Thanks!

Did you tear away stablizers. ?
Yes, I use tear-away when I do tote bags.
Buy a Barudan and you are done. Those little machines are so limited.
