Wow this show really brought me back to all the kid adventure movies I grew up with, The Goonies, Flight of the Navigator, Explorers and more. It really captures the feel and vibe of those. Absolutely love it.
At-Attins isolation probably makes it the last remnant of the old republic, surviving the Clone Wars, the empire and has lasted this long! by Old republic I apparently need to define what I'm talking about since older fans seems to mix in Legends material and make it confusing. the Old Republic is the time before the empire, where Padme Amidala was a senator in said republic. some seem to believe this planet has been hidden since the old Old Republic, thousands of years prior.
I think it's the Old Republic (as in "Knights of the Old Republic" and aka "Star Wars the Old Republic" games) aka The High Republic from 1000+ years ago. Being the pre-Empire Clone Wars Republic doesn't really make much sense to me. Why would their credits be valuable? Also, that's surely far too short a period of time for a planet to become a "myth". But, that's just my opinion, you could well be right.
@redcardinalist the KOTOR and SWTOR games as it is with the entire era they belong to isn't Canon, but legends The only thing that exist in world that is an old republic is the prequel movie era. High Republic is part of said era and is much closer in time, merely 400 years and not thousands. Originally, when the first stories about old republic was created during the 80's and 90's it was actually this republic that was envisioned, The society that came before the Empire. I really do believe that when Lucasfilm does bring that 'old' old republic into their story, we will have massiv media coverage on it.
@@davidbergfors6820every year that goes by, the more old republic era becomes canon tho. The majority of major old republic characters are canon ie Darth Bane, Revan, etc. imo they need to do an Old Republic movie or show to canonize and solidify that era.
@Zacharysharkhazard a movie like that would only dissapoint you, since none of a Canon Old Republic movie would live up to what legends is. And as for Revan, I must have missed where he was in Canon.
Star Wars began as a fun adventure and somewhere along the way it turned serious. Serious works too, but it has to be awesome 24/7 or people begin to question why they are watching it. This show thru 2 episodes is awesome and fun like the original trilogy!
To me, Skeleton Crew is The Astronauts (a one-season TV series) meets The Goonies (a movie) and Explorers (a movie). So Dumbledore is not just a Wizard but a Jedi?
Goonies in Space? Thank you Disney 😊 I love Neel, KB and Smee the most. Wim is a bit annoying but so are a lot of lead characters in the 80s movies. A great opening to a fun series.
I know what you mean about bingeable, This has quickly become a new obsession in a way Star Wars hasn't done for me in a while, the Acolyte really soured the taste for me, but with Skeleton crew, Star Wars is back in my heart with full colors!
It clearly shows it's a kids show, anyone expecting something like the Mandalorian will maybe be disappointed, but it's not cheesy like Acolyte or Obi-wan's Leia so I'll give it a few more episodes before making a judgement.
This has more edge than a kids show like rebels tbh. I mean the first 2 eps we see like 50 pirates getting merked. But it's certainly aimed at younger audiences like Goonies or Pirates of the Caribbean

YES!! There's something very comforting about this show for sure!
You just know Fern is the DM when this group plays D&D
YES!
100%!
Thanks, Nythical! ✨💀✨ I love all STAR WARS, too. I'm glad you enjoyed these first two episodes. I'm so ready for Episode 3!
You’re so welcome! Thanks for being here!! Cannot wait until the next one 💜
@@NythicalReacts The pleasure is all mine. 🥰
Fantastic show - I especially loved the treasure planet twist!
FIRST?! Nice!!
What an amazing opening, and some odd mysteries!

This show is off to such a fun start! The kind of show I wish was around back when I was a kid 😃
“Even better, we have them when we’re 40!”

With all the pirates I hope we get to see everyone's favorite space pirate Hondo Onaka in this show.
👀
I loved episode 1 and 2. Bring on 3

This reminds me of movies like Goonies, The Explorers, E.T. and Super 8.
Yes!! I totally agree
😍
Some ideas floating around is that At Atin was part of the Old Republic, and your song is still waiting here:) ua-cam.com/video/w6JH5rUyEck/v-deo.html
Thank you!! I’ll check it out today 💜
