    Wow! Great collection of clay! Like having your own store! Thank you for sharing... I am pretty new to clay (only 4 little figures/charms made), so organizing is something I want to get ahead of! I’d be very interested in a video of keeping opened clay like you mentioned at the end of this video.. :)

    If you have an opened pack you should put a card or something in the front of that colour on the bookcase.
    If the card is only small you'll be able to see the color behind. It would mean not having to check your opened box. Beth xx

    Oh yeah !! You have some heck of a collection there!! I would give a vital organ to have a craft room!! When I had an extra room I couldn't be bothered. Now that I don't I have got about $10,000.00 worth of craft supplies and machinery piled sky high in the corner of my bedroom. Which is VERY bad for my ADHD mind! I cannot work unless things are neat and organized. And right now it's like squeezing 10 pounds of crap into a 5 pound bag! So NOTHING is neat and organized!

    Thanks for sharing. I keep redoing mine, looking for better ways to store them. I currently have my clay in Michaels' rainbow chests which have the 12x12 drawers, great for premo. Please share more! 😍

    DONT USE SMALL PLASTIC "ZIPLOCK" BEAD BAGS!! (I have just seen this suggestion multiple times in multiple articles.)I bought bead bags slightly larger than a 2oz block of polymer clay. I labeled them all with the brand, color and the cooking temp. I organized them neatly in a box with all of the unopened clay in a dark closet. It had been a year or 2 since I gone into the box. But when I did...EVERY SINGLE BEAD BAG split open! The "permanent" marker that I wrote the information on the bag with had faded and or wiped off. None of the articles that suggested bead bags mentioned any specific kind. Like you named specific recycling numbers. So needless to say I have a sizeable amount of clay that has been laying in a box exposed for quite some time. I will hold onto it and see what I can do with it when the occasion arrives. I am an equal opportunity crafter. I get my hands into everything. I recently was able to beat the heck out of a few hard lumps of black clay while also using softener. I did it!! It took some work. And literally beating it so it was noisey! Lol.
    Something I have NEVER understood is why so many people answer the same way. Often when someone asks about hard clay I see so many people respond by telling them to condition the clay in their pasta roller?? Why would they suggest that? It's dam near impossible to do. At least with HARD clay. IF (big if) you are able to get it into the machine. It just crumbles and falls everywhere. Yes...once you soften the clay up some then you can continue to condition it in the roller. But to be able to stick a hard lump of clay in the roller is just an exercise in futility.

    Hello I am 9 years old and the things your fan do are so sweet and beautiful I bought from the polymer clay you used to make things like you but how can I soften it a little hard?

    • @WanderingWalden
      @WanderingWalden  3 роки тому

      You can soften your clay with a little baby oil or liquid softener, which is sold at the store. :)
