Hi guys, welcome back to my UA-cam channel! I am so excited about this series on my channel. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am. Today, we had on the legendary Mika Hayes! Mika and I have been best friends since we were on Twinkles in 2009. We won Worlds together in 2015 and 2017, and then Mika went to Top Gun 005 and won Worlds again in 2019! In this video, we talk about how Mika first got into cheer and her evolution from Angel Sharks all the way up to Shooting Stars. Mika provides amazing tips in this video on how she elevated her tumbling and how she was able to match guys' and their tumbling heights! We also discussed the differences between cheering at World Cup and compared Top Gun. With tryout season here, I wanted to talk about what it is like to have a friend move up on a team after they age out. This happens so often in the sport and I wish I had this was advice when I was still cheering. Mika also just graduated from nursing school, and she talks about how cheerleading has helped her not only with nursing school but also with advocating for her patients on a daily basis. Not many people know this, but Mika coached at the World Cup during the 2020 season, and we discussed how different it is being a coach compared to being an athlete at a gym. During our first year on Stars in 2013, Mika and I reminisced and dished about a funny/"traumatizing" memory from Worlds Day 1 2013. Lastly, we discussed Mika's favorite WCSS routine and favorite routine of all time! I hope you enjoy the video. Let me know your thoughts on this content!

Yeah the real reason why Lauren stayed on Twinkles an extra year was because she didn’t have a full😂 could you technically have moved up to Starlites though?
Technically yes...but that Twinkle year was one of the best years that I had at WC. I am forever grateful that I stayed on Twinkles that year and did not move up to Starlites...I grew so much as an athlete that year❤
