There was nothing intresting in 1st period as far as i can remeber but i agree, it sucks. like Sportsnet, only goals.. maybe one deke, no hits and many times there's major penalties but they dont show how they got them. It's like watching a highlight of ski jumping, but only thing they show is the fucking landing haha

It's actually really great how GB fans keep supporting the players like hell even though winning is not likely. In Finland people tend to go all grumpy if our team doesn't suddenly do so well. Cheers! Was a fine match!

We on the other hand aren't a big hockey nation so we're in this tournament with the mindset of even winning 1 game being an accomplishment and a big step forward. We were never gonna beat a team like Finland but i thought we gave it a good go yesterday, in previous years it could have been 20 so we definitely have improved

I mean Finlands team has a very big problem with having very bad "offense". with only one consistant scorer and many of our centers have gotten hurt. This match was good practice for the other players to "get them the taste of scoring".
I think it was actually a smart move from them. It's important to get some feeling of that play, they have a decisive game coming where they need all their tricks honed. Getting even one goal from this was more important than if they got scored upon. They actually had a few good chances. After the 2nd puck drop Finland got the puck and we saw how it went then. But before that they were dangerous.
The IIHF really needs to step up their presentation. Really the only thing keeping these games exciting are the fans and players themselves, with barely any help from the federation itself.
Depends if we beat France and France doesn’t get anymore and get any points against Slovakia. And pretty sure there’s relaxation play between the bottom 4 teams of which 2 will drop down to 1A

Not really, they have good goalkeeper. We shot like 50+ shots against their goalkeeper and made only 4 inso that tells something about their defence.
