An attraction you were only feet away had a tragic accident recently. Our hearts go out to the family whose loved-one died on the vertical drop on International Drive days after you showed us the attraction.

Miss wet n wild on international drive, it was perfect for those days after you were shattered from doing the theme parks and need to recoup. Stumble out of a motel and into w&w. Once they closed that it was never the same again. Volcano Bay is epic but its like you liking the old Irish bar over the new trendy places. Must be an age thing and the yearning for days of olde😂
Love these type of videos Lee. Great insight to what’s on International Drive. It might not be one of the glamorous places in the world but it still looks a fantastic pub/bar crawl!
So many memories. My last visit was September 2005, so much has changed. Icon Park was The Mercado, used to live going there at night. Brought back a few memories. Usually stay down Disney Springs. Did stay years ago up the other end towards Universal end, remember walking to the old Wet and Wild before it closed.. good times

The breakfast at world cafe is a great English. No one fussier than my hubby and he loved it

Great video Lee ! Have to agree I’m fascinated by abandoned hotels , hospitals and even pubs ! So many pubs have shut in England now and I always say people will have meet in there and be married and kids now .

Changed so much last on i drive 15 years ago. So many additions. Titanic exhibition was at the old mercado centre when we were there. Always love a game of crazy golf. One visit we stayed at movie land hotel ,that was an experience.

Enjoyed this one it brings back memories of walking down international Drive and going into the Titanic experience, hope I get the chance to visit Florida again as it is a wonderful place. Had a few breakfasts in Denny’s really good.

Great memories for me as I did 1990 to 2005 every year in florida and especially international drive and kissiminee...thanks Lee it was great to see all the places but it looks a lot more quiet than when I went.

Brought back memories of past trips to Orlando!
I remember staying on I Drive for a short time, then mainly in Kissimmee, the rest.
I remember along the (better) part of I Drive you would see pedestrians walking, but mainly everyone went by car.
First time I went to Florida I fell in love with the place, and visiting places like Disney and Universal, wow, what a fantastic experience, especially for the young ones. Shame Wet n Wild shut down and remember many a meal at Ponderosa, especially enjoying the buffet brekkies.
Anyone else go to Gatorland, St. Petes, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Kennedy Space Centre?😄
The first trip we even drove down to the Keys, what a wonderful place Key West was to stay in.
All in all the trips there were magical, and so much fun! Glad we had the opportunity to do it while we could.

Last time we went to Perkins was in 2016 and it was lovely. Longhorn Steakhouse is also a favourite of ours
We love the Hyatt Regency and the Pointe Orlando area. Walked from there to the International Premium Outlets in December (in the heat) so did your journey in reverse.

That derelict building at 1:35 used to be a ponderosa steakhouse and buffet. Ate there quite often when we stayed at the enclave suites back in April/May 2004.
That mr sushi’s wS fantastic when we were over in November, delivered to cabanabay and it was lovely 🇺🇸🏴
Everything was built around the automobile in the 70 s and 80s it was refreshing that they built sidewalks on international drive. I’ve walked there in August and I didn’t see any people walking on the sidewalk. I can see the walk in early March must be great. Also. The long distance between locations Lee it looked like perfect weather (it’s snowing again in New Jersey interesting vlog

When I was in destin FL 2 years ago as the pandemic started I went to McGuires Irish bar. Best bar I visited on my trip. Food was awesome.
Stayed in the Avanti 5 times m8 …Bahama breeze,millers ale house ,and Magianos are amazing …….well jealous….enjoy
We first went to Florida (from the UK) in 1986 and International drive even then was like walking though Benidorm and it has not improved. We have been back many times, last time 4 years ago, we had a villa near the parks but we went to I drive to see if it had changed but apart from the upper end where the conv center is driving down to the other end and it is still full of eateries and gift shops and outlet malls, its so tacky but it kinda works.
Top Mark's for the video Lee. Brings back memories of when I vacationed at international drive. I saw one of those green buses go past. I'm a bit of a bus man. Nope not a spotter. Used be a manager for a large bus company. There doesnt seem to be any tourists about apart from a guy with a camera and a let's go t shirt lol. Thank you for helping me reminisce Lee.

Great Vlog again lee. We stayed at the Avanti Palms in 2018. After a few days there was a conference and stayover for people in recovery. It was like Ibiza on Acid. Not good for the family. That end of I drive is very much in the 80's. You can book with many UK travel agents who quote 4* or whatever but it is a dump. Onwards my friend X
It's all about perspective, isn't it? I grew up in USA and loved British TV shows, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin to name a few. I first came to the UK in 1977 and fell in love with London. I went back a few years ago and would love to live there. I've never been to Blackpool but this tour of Orlando looks a lot like Los Angeles with the strip malls, restaurants, etc.

Perkins Bakery was fantastic then, Apple & Cinnamon muffins were the bomb!

Where the giant wheel is at Icon Park, you have the tallest “Star Flyer” in the world, (that’s the swing ride that goes round and round at height). Love International Drive and I know you walked about 3 miles but that’s enough in searing heat. I think it’s about 12 miles or so in length if I’m thinking correctly but there are some amazing restaurants, cafes, bars and hotels along there. Don’t you just love the Florida heat, (well I do and I’ve done most of the States but Florida is still one of my favs). Nice one Lee 👍
Nice one Lee i stayed there in July 1999 im sure it looks nothing like it was then. I stayed in the Travelodge it was close to the indoor sky dive place and close to a gun shooting range, i went to that Titanic place it was brilliant it took a while for us here in Belfast to get something like that, we didnt have nothing for a place that built it such a same but we milk the life out of it now ok lol. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Remember staying in the Rosen across from wet n wild (RIP) the first time we went to Orlando. It was a bit rough back then but still managed to fall in love with the place.
The derelict place used to be an all day buffet, can't remember the name of it but it went bust years ago. Has had a few different things since then but none have lasted.
Great memories MM. Hopefully getting back soon to make some new ones.

Great video Lee. If James loves trains, take him to East Grinstead (15 minutes from Gatwick). There's a heritage railway called The Bluebell Railway. Its amazing, you'd both enjoy it for sure

The building closed down I think was Ponderosa,great memories of first going there in 1998,first time I had ever been to a buffet,great memories.

Stayed on I Drive many times in early 90’s courtesy of ( now defunct ) companies such as Freddie Laker and Travel City.
Probably stayed in that now derelict motel !
As you said it was such a novelty to watch daytime Tv . I can remember being excited at watching Bonanza at 7:30 in the morning ! When all we had was 3 channels .
Top end of IDrive ( where Wet n Wild was ) there is place called Visitors Circle - great musical instrument dealer there and next door a gun and rifle range you could visit and use live ammunition !
Perkins great for bakery and home style food. Chillis was good too but who knows these days

Glad you did the walk up International Way. I hate hot weather and no way would I ever visit Florida. I like the cold weather and change of seasons. Did you see many electric charging stations on your journey. Don't understand this Country's direction, the inmates are in charge of the zoo. Enjoying your vlogs touring our Country again. Stayed in a Marriott low-rise type hotel on I-Drive back in maybe 1989 with my family, I don't recognise any of this lol! Not really surprising I guess. All I remember is there being a MacDonalds nearby, but nothing like that one.
I think I stayed in that same hotel in 1990 the colour green was prevalent a lot wonder is it still there?
Hi Lee I just love Murphys Bar spent many an hour in there, not been for a few years after watching your video its back on my list. We also had a Breakfast in the World Cafe we both ordered a full English, but when my mates came out I changed my order to just toast best choice I ever made. I dare you to try a full English, ill leave it there lol.
