it seems like everyone who’s complaining that it was underwhelming are people who went to MULTIPLE shows……i’m sure the majority of people at closing night had an amazing time especially if it was their only show
I have never been to a show but went to V2. It was so much fun! More of an observation than a complaint was that there were no outfit changes between the three nights. That has been a fun thing for fans to be surprised about throughout the show so to have the same outfits every night was slightly less exciting. It’s ok to have that feeling. Still it was a fantastic experience!!!🙌🏽🫶🏽✨
I think the topic of the "dissapointment" surrounding the final show stems from unrealistic expectations that some Swifties set for the fandom. While I love a good theory and participating in a little clowning just as much as the rest of us, I think this obsession with announcements and theories has spiraled a little out of control. It was clear to me that Taylor wanted these final shows to be representative of what made The Eras Tour so special to begin with: A three hour show with different sets representing each one of the eras, beautiful and sparkly costumes, amazing music and choreography that seemed to encapsulate each era, surprise songs that make EACH concert unique, the energetic dancers and band, the friendship bracelets, and the fans. THAT is what I believe she was honoring with these final shows. She also probably wanted to honor and recognize all the work that went into making this tour what it was--the dancers, the band, and everyone behind the scenes who made it possible--an announcement would only distract from that.
Please don’t hate on Tess!!! I was on her stream, in her break room the entire time and after! 1. She did NOT say it was underwhelming, she she specifically said she didn’t want to say that, but was struggling with explaining her feelings after the show. She goes above and beyond to show gratitude to Taylor and streamers, she gives the most amount of grace and love to everyone! 2. Her adhd brain(I have one too) sometimes goes on side quests trying to explain something, that’s what happened with her trying to simply say, please don’t pressure Taylor or anyone to get married and have babies because you don’t know what they want or what their relationships are like. 3. She has no idea who that gaylor chick was, she just looks for the best streams she can, makes sure she has permission, and uses them. She can’t be expected to background check all the streamers. Tess clearly has a heart of gold and put so much into bringing the tour to so many and creating a huge Swiftie community🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
100% I was on there too and I love Tess so much, she is me trying to explain my feelings, I mean this is why we all love Taylor right cuz she expresses our feelings for us lol… but she did NOT say it was underwhelming at all.
You know what? I love Taylor Swift, I LOVED the Eras Tour and to I loved and appreciated going twice. But I’m also happy it’s over. We had nearly two legendary years, however I’m glad Taylor can move on and look at her next projects and keep writing her history. I’m excited for what’s to come and I’m here for it.
as a Vienna swiftie, any complaints about the Eras tour as the actual show make me angry. I understand if you're complaining about the venue, disrespectful people around you etc, that's valid. but if you're complaining about the outfits, surprise songs, surprise guests or lack of surprise guests, announcements or lack of announcements etc, you're just an ungrateful brat cause I would be glad to see her up that stage, dressed in a trash bag, singing the ABCs. just be grateful for what you got and that you got to be there and see her live, that alone is a blessing
I'm honestly happy that the tour ended, bc all of these expectations. It's probably extremely hard to keep that vibe for nearly 2 years for a crowd that always expects something ❤
In 2024, we got TTPD and the digital Anthology. We got the Anthology on vinyl and cd. We got the Eras Tour book. All while she was performing concerts and trying to make a relationship work. Most bands or artists wouldn't have given their fans as much as she did in 2024.
I couldn’t see the show. So seeing the livestreams were my favorite thing to come out of this Tour. So lucky and grateful for everyone who did them (almost everyone).
I think everyone was expecting her to go out with a big bang and do something overwhelming. The show itself is so fabulous that I’m not sure what she could have done more.
I LOVE Taylor…and I posted “what a bland goodbye” It’s just the truth! She was just dunzo and it showed!! Good for her. We all get short timers and she just seemed ready to go!!
i could watch Travis' entrance and performance every day til I die. The girl who streamed it yelling, "what the fuck, who let him on stage?!, what the fuck, omg, don't scare me like that!, whoooo!" Is my soul mate.
I was at N2 and glad you guys were able to see on the livestream that we could see on screen for a second what the cameraman on stage were filming!! The quality of the camera was unreal. Whatever the footage was for it will be brilliant!
Came for Eras Tour vibes - staying for you ladies! Great work as always! I think a new Eras movie 2.0 and a documentary for sure! VANCOUVER N1 surprise song will be on the movie 2.0! Every person I know streamed the final show! 🥳 And LONG LIVE TESS! 💜 ❤
My favorite part about attending a show, night 2 in Minneapolis of 2023 was being in the same room as Taylor and hearing her do the songs I love, not being an entitled ass wanting something, hell I got all of “Dear John” as a surprise guitar song.
So great that you enjoyed it for what it was. Love that mindset. A person I went to University with was at the same show you were at with her sick sister. Her sister was there as a celebration of finished rounds of Cancer treatment, and let us just say. She did not complain about what surprise song was sung, or outfits she had on. She enjoyed it for what it was. Sharing that space with Taylor that was the soundtrack of her teen years. Thankful for it, like you. It is a bit uncomfortable or creepy even, when you see online that people feel entitled to or expect of her to give them what they wanted. As if they actually know her so they can expect her to adjust to their wants and needs.
I’m so glad she didn’t announce anything bc now that it’s all over we still have shit to look forward to. And Im a rep girlie and I know she wants to release rep as a huge thing, maybe some Karma almost album stuff? I dunno… but take your time Taylor! I’ll wait!!
I just looked at it as she had to give us time to heal from the tour ending so now we have something to look forward to with announcements from here on out
Love these takes! You gals hit the nail on the head everytime! Also, congrats to Gia on calling that mash up, I would NEVER shut up about it if it were me lol. Long live Taylor Watch!!
I think a lot of people’s disappointment wasn’t about an announcement but the fact that she filmed the last 3 dates and wore all the same outfits. At least that’s what I feel like I’ve seen. At a certain point I think we all knew we weren’t getting an announcement but I can see why some people are upset that she could’ve filmed any other shows but the last 3
as someone who was there on the last night, I can promise you it was anything but underwhelming. It was actually quite overwhelming. The emotions in the room were raw and tactile. While the show was meant for us in the crowd, that final show was actually for them, taylor and the entire crew. It almost felt a bit voyeuristic watching the love and emotions amongst the dancers, crew, band and taylor. we could see the side of the stage and watch the dancers and band members hugging and interacting. it seemed like everyone on stage was fighting back tears. anyone with a less than grateful review is showing theyre spoiled.
People were just going on Twitter saying anything and everything about Tess just to be mean she never said any of those things and people also misinterpreted what she was getting at
Tess did not criticize the concert. She was commenting about others making comments about what Taylor is doing next, and we should not just "assume" that Taylor & Travis want to get married and have babies. Instead, we should just wish that Taylor does what makes her happy and that can be different for everyone.
I think people were to much into the clowning to appreciate it. I set my alarm and got up for all three nights, something I normally don't do, just as a good bye and appreciation for the tour and everything that surrounds it. But some people seem to be so stuck in all the costumes that she did or did not wear to realize that that was a side show, a funny thing to clown about not something that was the show or that they were entitled to. There was a rumor that the last show was 1 hour longer then normal, and some people were filling in that time for themselves and then got somehow angry when it turned out that there was no truth to that. Same with the repeat of the outfits and the camera on stage. When the documentary gets released or maybe she will put a live stream on YT so that they do not have to keep taking down channels that put their own on, all those people can see the night they were there in it, they were part of that night.
32:12 Disagree, Maroon is more than 1 paternity test. Its recognizing, and though difficult growing from the toxicities & red flags ignored in the past. Which is why it worked so well for TTPD, Cornelia Street, Forever & Always, The Black Dog/Come Back..Be Here, & Red. She mashed it up with like every "bad ending" shes had because she can see the "maroon" of them looking back. And with what we know(an Gia called)abt CLM it makes sense to mash Maroon into CLM with where she's at in life.
Tess is not in the wrong at all imo!! People were getting mad that the merch looked too similar to Gracie's. I watched most of her streams and I didn't hear her complain once about the show being underwhelming
Even if Barry cheated with 100 girls it's nobody's business but theirs. Why do people think they are entitled to deal with someone else persinal life😮😮😮
I was only disappointed that she filmed all three nights when she had 6 nights in Toronto to do so. I was hoping for some original outfits to finish off the tour to make it full circle
The sort of upset so many had online about how the last shows was underwhelming. I feel is an indication that too many has put alot on an artist that simply was on a tour. And with that comes that you put it on for the people there. Not in a livestream or people looking for signs of her sexuality watching that livestream. And if you’ve gone to many so you want variety, that is on you, not her. She did not say ”please get hung up on what I wear and in what colors to find out when I will relesae another TV album, or when you think I will get out of the closet as a lesbian, or as a sign my boyfriend is in the audience, or if Karma is real”. People actually behave like they have a personal in real life relationship with her as a person, and what she wants to say or hint at with God damn everything she does. What she wears, what jewelry, hand gestures, what she wears on a certian date of the month, if she smiles in a certain way. Without actually taking a step back and thinking about that if absolutely everything she wears, says, what combination of songs she sings, who she is friends with. Is a message about something about her. She would be insane if that was true. Just a product that in an almost calculated way only plays a part. And why the heck would we want an artist to never clock out? It is sort of a creepy way to relate to her at that point. Let her have a tour, release music without it having to be a coming out project, her hinting at what person a song is about, or when something new will drop. As any other artist. At a point, it might be healthy to say, ”I don’t know her” and she is not putting on a different enough show to please ppl or me watching streams or going to 10 of the tour dates when all the ”why did she not do or say anything special” for the end of a tour, or something like that bubbles up in our heads. And simply not say that out loud, or online. If you have that expectation of an artist. Because maybe then we have to have a bit of a reality check about that parasocial relationship going too far.
i think its going to be a documentary that weaves in the new design of the concert because the first ERAS didn't have TTPD so this way it will be the best of both worlds. A second concert film that includes ALL eras AND a documentary. I just hope the documentaryREALLY gets into the details that went into putting the show together. (like how mandy moore went into the cinematic intention of creating the stage and choreo)
Y'all I love you and I say this with all the peace and love, but please do some more research or pre-production. I watch this show because I love to watch you kiki and think yall are fun and genuine and want to hear your perspectives. I'm not really coming to learn anything new as I'm pretty online but for some of your viewers I'm sure that you may be their Taylor news and I think you need to be more cognizant of that when sharing information. I don’t expect you to know everything and have all the knowledge at your fingertips especially with something as silly as which surprise song was played but I think you need to be more aware of the power you have in sharing information/misinformation when discussing certain more nuanced topics.
I’m convinced Maroon was originally written about Harry Styles and now Taylor is just playing with us 😂 She has this thing now, where she’s trying to reclaim a song or change the original narrative, so that it fits a different story. However, the original story follows: On New Year’s Day when Haylor famous New Years Day kiss happened she was wearing a Maroon scarf, and then they looked up and the sky was maroon ( from city lights and fireworks). She was also wearing a maroon coat on a different date with him. They were dancing together with no shoes back in New York, even Ed Sheehan talked about it, they were recreating Dirty Dancing scene together ( there are videos and pictures of that online). Besides, Harry has an unrealized song called Trouble, where he is talking about it ( and he also mentions them having no shoes in a couple of other songs - Hunger, for example). So, “no shoes” is a Haylor theme. Question was also written about Harry ( not Matty!!). Either Ed or Harry were talking about the friends making fun of Taylor and Harry dancing but then started clapping, it was in one of the old interviews ( probably Ed’s)

That statement about what Tess said is not even true 😂😂😂 they literally took it out of context without knowing all of what she said. Someone said something about them being able to "focus on getting married and having kids now" and she basically said stop saying that stuff even though it's well intentioned, because you don't know what they want as people, any health issues that could be getting in the way of things, nobody knows and it's nobody's business, and you should be wishing for their general happiness, not specifically for them to "get married and have kids". People need to stop talking about topics online when they clearly don't actually know what they're talking about, because it gives a much different impression than what the reality actually was.
People don't like Gracie Abrahams because despite the luxury of having the likes of Aaron Dessner, Sam de Jong, Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift at her disposal, her music is still incredibly underwhelming and derivative. Nothing about her songwriting or vocal ability stands out and yes, being a nepo baby doesn't help, either. Especially when you consider the fact that there's way more talented artists who don't have the same access to these resources that Gracie does.
Come on. This nepo baby term is such a stupid, ridiculous, pathetic concept. When you mentioned that, that told everything I needed to know about your lack of intelligence. Gracie has really good music. It should have been nominated for Grammy instead of Billie's album.
@@richardh776 I personally don't care if someone's a nepo baby or not. If someone's music is good, it doesn't matter. Gracie's music isn't good, though. And that's why a lot of people have a problem with her.

100% this. Clown if you want but then don’t blame Taylor because your unrealistic fan fiction type Easter eggs ended up being all in your head.

her singing "it was the end of an era" during long live live 😭

I am wondering if, instead of a single episode of a documentary, it might be a multi-part series with concert sections each episode.

Travis also ended the game.
He caught the last catch for the 1st down. Which let them run out the clock for what should've just been an 31yarder.

Either Ed or Harry were talking about the friends making fun of Taylor and Harry dancing but then started clapping, it was in one of the old interviews ( probably Ed’s)
taylor mashed up maroon with cornelia street so maroon could be about joe! there are multiple options for who maroon is about

I thought Harry too until she said in COSOSOM “make your memory fade from this scarlet maroon” Then I thought damnit; it’s Matty.

What are they babbling about this is really a podcast 😂😂😂😬😬😬😬 wow 🤯
@WoahLookAtThatFreak her music is good. A lot better than Billie's new album.
@WoahLookAtThatFreak no one should have a problem with her. People just want to complain about something.
music taste is subjective. it’s YOUR opinion that her music isn’t good, it’s not a fact. I think her music is amazing. people like you are just rude.
If you don't know what happened with Tess, then maybe don't talk about it. Tess never said those things. Don't believe Twitter!
Quit talking about this nepo baby term. It is a stupid, rediculous pathetic thing. I wish that term would be banned.
