  • @esven9263

The line in the first game is a response to the Anti-London as covered by Agadmator sometimes called the Anti-Anti london. My guess is that white is a London player, black plays the anti-london, and since white cheats the engine found the key parts of the anti-anti London in response.
The Anti-london from black is intended purely to disrupt the London. Because white has moved the bishop out so early the b2 pawn is weak so you immediately disrupts whites familiar pawn structure and attack it with Qb6. The most accurate response for white and the key move of the anti-anti london is Na3 or Nc3 which appears to hang the pawn. If they take it with Qxb2 there's Nb5 and the queen is stuck on b2, every square it could move to is covered, while you've got a Jobava style threat on c7 with bishop and knight. If black tries to stop it with Nd5 you just drop the bishop back and kick the knight from the defence with c4. a6 trying to kick the knight doesn't work either because you have Rb1 which forces Qxa2 to save then queen then Ra1 kicking the queen back to b2. Once the A pawn is gone axb5 is no longer a threat and would hang the rook to Rxa8. If black isn't careful they'll lose their queen and it's all around very unpleasant.
Generally they're not going to take your b2 pawn, in which case you have Nb5 with a threat on c7. If black anticipates that then they will usually play a6, which is the line given by Agadmator and the best response to Nc3. This is really where Na3 and Nc3 differ. After Nc3 a6 you're knight on c3 is blocking your c pawn which is playable and has its own merits but is generally less pleasant than if the knight were on d2, the canonical square for it in the london. Nf3 allows the knight to jump into c4 after a6 which attacks the queen and if it can ever get to the outpost on b6 it will usually be very well placed. a6 after Na3 would actually be a pretty big mistake.
The best move for black after Nf3 is Nd5. Which was played in this game. It preemptively shuts down the threat on c7 and threatens the loose bishop. After that white would be forced to play something like Nc4 maneuvering the knight back from the edge of the board and defending b2 with an attack on the queen. Black then gets Qe6+ moving the queen with tempo, white has to block with Be3 or lose the bishop and play continues.
Stockfish finds a line for black which wins a pawn from there and even though white has compensation and the position is very playable it ranks it as -0.3 because of the material imbalance. So it prefers the incredibly ugly Bc1. Not only that stockfish actually thinks black should play d6 after which it will play Nb1 as well, undeveloping all of its pieces to their home squares on move 7 and basically starting the game over which it considers to be +0.10.

Hey, there are reasons Zach didn't name him. You not only name him but basically dox him. This isn't what the chess community is about.
There are already rules and consequences by governing bodies for cheaters -- doing what you're doing is frowned upon just like cheating is.. It can lead to real world consequences like harassment, threats and affect people who are innocent but connected to the cheater (like his mother or grandma)
Once more, there are many reasons Zach didn't name the cheater. Use your head. Respect the game and the community. We all agree cheaters are the worst and deserve the consequences -- you don't need to be a vigilante or fuel others to inflict their own justice. This is not in the spirit of the sport. If he was born in 2006, he may be under 18 which makes what you're doing so much worse.
If you respect Zach and the chess community, don't make us look bad so you can look like some vigilante sleuth.

Under 1 500 and you need to cheat?
The stress must have been incredible
And to play in response to an engine move that never happened.
The one I liked in another incident was the cheater did a knight move but the other knight was meant to do the move and so it was a disaster.
Here the best knight move also was a disaster as the Queen was eyeing up where the knight landed as again the honest guy did not do the expected move.

Na3 actually isnt that odd, it is one of the options that white has there. if he went with the more common Nc4 after Nd5, then they would reach the main line after Qe6+,Be3. Then black continues development with g6 and putting his bishop either on g7 or h6. Its a very interesting line.

In these games you may be reading too much in individual moves...to me, the giveaway is the time away from the board and behavior related to that. I have had a game where an opponent was "plugged" into his phone and kept returning to the board and playing moves well above his rating. A player had little recourse back then...

I’ve played 1500s (that are not cheating) OTB that can sometimes play at master level for 15-20 moves, because they’re playing a prepared line they know and understand decently well
That’s just how chess can go in this era, as Carlsen once said “there’s theory on everything these days” and even intermediate level players can learn and understand some complex ideas
But clearly this guy was a blatant cheater, absolutely no question

@@ifbfmto9338 no but like the level of playing of 1800 and even the 1400, are lower than they actually are. Most 1800 people are supposed to play like 2100, the reason why they struggle to proceed is that there is a lost of competition. thats why so many junior player beat very good grandmasters. when I was a 1800 I never played like this

@@marxcarton3858I think the level of chess ability, relative to rating, has increased noticeably over the last decade
Meaning, I think an 1800 now, plays at the level of maybe a 2000 player 10 years ago
I truly believe this, I think the rating deflation is significant

Rafael can be very good i consider 1800 extremely underrated for him he is on his way to 2000 one bad game after a tough loss is not a sign that he is bad

  • @JamieTransNyc

Something missing from this analysis...... even when the moves are not obviously computer moves... something is still wrong. Anyone who has this much theory memorized would not have a score of only 1400. Playing right on theory for so many moves is not a sign of a 1400 player.

We really appreciate your effort and your art of cheating, but the reality is that you're just a bunch of shit who can't win a damn game without going to your cell phone.

This whole “a 1400 can or can’t find this” is absolute elitist nonsense . For eg, I’ve many times developed a piece wrong and taken the L and developed it right (Be2, Bd3)
And also I have done that thing where I touched a piece , realize it’s gonna hang and make a different move . I
