No. He'a saying if you're normally 240, and loading the creatine gets you to 250 you will move more weight. Powerlifters do it all the time. Eat a salty meal with lots of rice the night before lifting. You hold more water, and your lifts are better.

Creatine improves adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis. When you lift, ATP is expended and needs to be restored. So, if you use creatine, you will be able to perform more reps - due to the extra ATP. So, the effects of creatine are: More energy (ATP) = more reps = more gains = more muscle mass. And as Bradley stated - creatine make muscles retain more water; which also increases your lean body mass. If you stop taking creatine, your body weight will drop due to less water. But your muscle mass will stay the same - even though you might be repping less weight...due to less ATP. Does this make sense?

Example: set your weights up for a deadlift and just go from there. Not about speed, just the # of reps accomplished. Referee should be Brandon/Trent.

So if you are "loading" your muscles with creatine, they will have quickly accessible energy. One of the reasons it's beneficial to supplement with it. I found it to help my energy levels in the gym while on low carbs. The extra creatine can help make up for the lack of muscle glycogen on a low carb diet to a certain extent.

This increases the persons ability to continue to produce a lot of force when fatigue would normally set in. Basically it makes you stronger.
