It's been 3 weeks and I still break down and cry over his passing. I was inconsolable the first few weeks like a close family member had died. I think that was a testament to the joy his voice and songs brought me for 33 yrs. He was my absolute favorite vocalist of my lifetime. My father and best friend's husband also passed away from colon cancer, so I know the hell he went through and that breaks my heart. I got to meet him on the 91' tour and another time several years later with the band. I had business dealings with Michael and Bill years ago, but I never knew CJ personally. I was just a fan but he and the music will live in my heart forever.💞 Thank you SO very much for recording these clips. I thought about traveling the 6 hours to get there but honestly didn't think I would do anything but bawl during the show. God bless you.
Awesome .. I am glad that I saw Firehouse years ago . I was absolutely shocked when I read that CJ passed away . I was humbled . I have been struggling with stage 4 cancer and have been feeling sorry for myself . Then I read what CJ endured , So Humbling , I need to learn humility like CJ . Rest in Peace ,
Hear me out please. I am a very very big extreme metal fan that ranges all the way out to black metal. Hair metal or whatever you call it was always a staple as part of my collection of music. Now although I prefer my heavier offerings most really hardcore music fans will never admit they listened to Firehouse…well this man did and my heart is truly saddened and i appreciate the voice he had up their with many dare I say power metal greats…thank you for the time we all got to share as a metal family to listen to great talents and voices
He will be missed.....I did not know him personally or ever met him but the 5 or 6 times I saw them live over the years he had a very pleasant, positive aura about him....He definately knew how to get a crowd going...makes me think of my own demise. I have been battling stage 4 cancer for 7 years and am now having heart problems. Im not quite sure how serious yet as I need more testing. I wonder if CJ knew he had heart problems? I am 59 yrs old btw and nowhere near the good shape he was in....We dont realize we have gotten old until we get there and sometimes its too late
@mikeb2611 - awww im so sorry to hear about your situation, hope you get better or feel comfy with your daily chores, being sick is hard...just my two cents - live your life to the fullest.... tomorrow is not a promise. I was a widow for 7 years before i re-married again, at the time, i just gave birth to our baby and he was 1 1/2 month old when my late spouse got killed at an ambush with ISIS leading his men as marine officer. It was hearth breaking and i thought i will die too, been miserable for years and cried all the time once i hear music that reminds me of him....now CJ - same thing, i am just a fan but i cried too many times for CJ everything i hear his songs ♥...take care ♥
I saw the band with CJ back in Feb 2023 and we’re amazing beyond belief! I was so into how good CJ was live I never took not one picture or video! Cancer sucks! My girlfriend is a cancer survivor and when she went through her chemo I sent her Love of a lifetime so many times to listen to and when we went to the show we held hands when that song came on and cried! Thanks CJ! Love ya bro!
We fans are so devastated but we know life isn't forever. It's sad we lost CJ to young to cancer, I hate cancer. Love to the band and the family.
so true, im still feeling so emotional every time i hear his music 💔
