King of pop with king of rock....what else?
stone cold crazy live at the rainbow
Freddie said, “ .. he used to just come and see our shows at The Forum in L.A. And I guess he likes us, so I got to meet him and he kept coming to see us & then we started talking”. Freddie & Michael recorded 3 demos together at MJ’s home studio - There Must Be More To Life Than This * State Of Shock * Victory! After Michael’s death, Brian & Roger took steps to secure all 3 demos hoping to release them in 2012. Roger said dealing with Michael Jackson’s Estate was like “wading through glue”. I love this! They were supposed to do 2 more songs, but Michael kept bringing his llama into the studio which Freddie couldn't stand.
Michael didn't like Freddie's drug use in studio. Ah, what could have been (sigh).
Mikes llama was blowing Freddie’s lines off his mirror. Freddie’s lines were legendary rails… 🚂 Choo-choo!!
I heard that as well.. about the llama... but was never sure it wasn't a joke... who knows?
Its true@@GinMae
@@kellycrook543 Ha... can't make this stuff up... thanks, Kelly!
AWESOME!!
Be sure to ALSO react to Freddie & Michael’s OTHER DUET:
“STATE OF SHOCK”
(This is an “unpolished” demo, but still AWESOME!!
There’s also a version of this song with Mick Jagger instead of Freddie, so just be sure to pick one that has just Michael & Freddie’s names on it!)
I loved Freddie’s version alone in his Mr. Bad a guy solo album. There were complications with their recording together. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There_Must_Be_More_to_Life_Than_This . Thank you for the reaction. I enjoy Michael a whole lot too, always listened to and loved him growing up, he was the same age as me. I just love Queen so much more, especially now. Enjoy!
Dude! I was so excited when I saw your thumbnail, Queen and MJ, from the 'Forever' compilation, yeah! Then you played this version 😢. This isn't Queen, nor is it Freddie's music. Someone else wrote the music here, not Freddie. Freddie's original version is on 'Mr Badguy' album, or there's Queens revamped version on 'Forever'. Of the three versions, I would rank this one third. Please find the official Queen version (with MJ), it's much better and closer to how Freddie intended.
😊💜
I actually prefer the Freddie only version. I’m just not a huge MJ fan
I’m with you on that.
Freddie’s version is so much better! MJ ruins this. 😞
Legends never die!
Please react to Michael Jackson and Barry Gibb all in your name
Thanks, Mann.. I heard that although they met, they didn't actually record together in studio.. story was that Freddie objected to Michael bringing in his llama.. lol.. that sounds like maybe a joke.. but who knows.. anyway.. they certainly never performed together.. a "compilation video".. still, it was a "pretty" song.. IMHO not one of the best for either of them.. but still - two legends! appreciate your reaction...
They recorded together in studio in LA There is demo here of State Of Shock and there was a demo of this song where Michael sung and Freddie played piano. Then Freddie withdrew from this collaboration and recorded this song which he wrote for his 1985 solo album Mr Bad Guy
@@peaceofiona9198 Thanks, Fiona - I always love hearing more "back-stories"
@@GinMae You're welcome. But one thing I have to say: I took my nick from a song Peace of Iona ( an island in Scotland) performed by The Waterboys and I'm a guy so my name is not Fiona ha ha.
@@peaceofiona9198 Thanks, guy! some people think I'm male.. not sure why.. my name "ginmae" is a combo of my first & middle names: "Virginia Mae"... doesn't matter at all, does it? We're all about the music! I'm in Wisconsin, USA... you? (Scotland, perhaps?)
@@GinMae I'm from Poland but there's something in music from British Islands that I can't resist. You're right we're all about music . Without music it would be hard for me to survive sometimes.
