Although I've played the game since 2005, I can hardly call myself even a student of the game, let alone an expert. But I have a point to add in which I think agrees and aligns with yours pretty well: Build quests so the *player* has the agency. In Battle for Azeroth, for instance, there are too many quest CHAINS where you, the player, have to *follow* an NPC. If you don't run after them, you don't know what the next part of the quest is because you lose track of where the next location for action is. You don't get to choose the action YOU want---the NPC is your Boss and they get to be like a sergeant giving the orders and you're the buck private who has to take it, or you lose track of the quest line. People play Warcraft so that they can do what THEY want, so that they can advance in the world on MERIT. I think Activision didn't want to put in all that work, writing so many quests, and started channeling all players through the same quest lines to avoid having to give you CHOICE. Choice meant "writing too much," and they wanted to save money and effort by simplifying the world, making it more boring.
What I want from classic+…. First off….use Turtle WoW as a starting point. OK! Then, 1. Update graphics to as close to being on par with retail as possible 2. Add Worgen to the alliance, and Ogres to the horde 3. Flying Mounts 4. No outlands, no northrend, no replacing Azeroth 5. More content, more towns, more quests, as many 5 man dungeons as possible, etc etc. 6. Toggable hardcore, and cross-faction play, AoE looting, and other QoL things. 7. A balancing of classes, in my opinion WotLK is a decent standard with regards to balance, but please incorporate some things (not everything retail did was bad) like for example differentiating Bear and Cat Druid forms by giving them different talent trees! 8. The Ruin system they showed off for Season of Discovery is also a good concept I would like to see incorporated, just umm dial it back a bit, because in its current state it’s too much like retail! 9. A 3.3.0 style dungeon finder, but with a twist, the ability to find groups for world bosses and maybe battlegrounds as well. 10. No WoW tokens, ever! Not under any circumstances!

Keeping the NEED for other classes in your group is absolutely a huge factor in the success of classic+. Would be cool if they altered existing dungeons in a expansive way and not a reworking way. Like adding a cool little side path to deadmines that has a skeleton boss and 1-3 chest. Perhaps the Miner Johnson path gets extended a bit into this new room. Same for SM cath, Adding a neat little room behind the waterfall at the beginning that has a boss inside and a chest (since Cath doesn't have any treasure chest like the other 3 SM dungeons.
They should break out the notes on what was not finished then _and finish what was left behind._ Azshara Crater BG? Finish and implement that. (DOTA for WOW) Another epic 40v40 with things to defend and push, with lanes and jungles (and NPCs to farm) would be awesome. Put some items on the rep vendors that are desirable chase items (e.g. a Paladin trinket that resets the CD on all Judgement spells and refreshes the active Judgement when Seal of Command procs). Kara at 60? Do it, and this time remember to use the upper flightmaster. (Why do you think Atiesh is in the game?) The crypts can be a separate instance, but needed to attune for the raid. Caverns of TIme and Hyjal at 60? Do that too, and implement horizontal progression therein. Uldum? Do it- make that the raid it was meant to be. Other places that were obviously meant to be dungeon or raid locations (e.g. that other Stormwind place like Stockcades) should be finished and implemented. Arena PVP? Implement the Orgrimmar arena- it's already there; Alliance players can queue from Stormwind. All those abandoned quest chains? Finish them- and put the end in a dungeon or raid. Oh, and Original AV only for AV. I miss truly epic 40 v 40 PVP where winning meant something, instead of racing to the boss and skipping all the things. Let those wanting faster games play WSG or AB. TARGET DUMMIES! Implement target dummies. That's a good start.
Scaled raids to allow 10 man runs would help the game stay alive longer and allow more people to raid. Scarlet crusade raid in eastern plaguelands in the style of the scarlet dungeons and scarlet wing of Stratholm Finish and polish old quest lines that ends prematurely. Bake in Hardcore from the get go. Do more with Gnomes and Trolls. Add more Tauren hunt/Lore style quests for end game zones, new zones, Trolls need to gather shrunken heads farm mojo, Gnomes need to experiment with gadgets to help save their home, Dwarfs digging deeper (or too deep).

Very good point about how ZG an AQ20 were good catch up mechanics. I often imagine if there was a classic cycle with everything released at launch and how funny the early ZG raids of like 15+ mages and a couple other random streamers who are leveled enough to join them trying to clear as much as they can cuz ZG had solid gear and u can just stroll in with 30 players if you need. What I want to know is WHY you think Classic+ is actually likely now? I was really hoping for it during Classic but was in the minority I heard. They totally ignored it then, why would they even consider it now? I dont know if I could bring myself to give blizzard more money after the shit they have done, but I would consider it for things like classic+, if I had the time to play it. Sadly I dont :(
Wishlist: - more dungeon set upgrades, and set upgrades, make sets even more meaningful. - unfinished zones, dungeons - cautious rebalance, keep pets viable instead of one-shot fodder in harder raids - keep flavor items alive: all the funky clunky items like engineering trinkets and HoEtO, SoID are making the style of the game
You should check out Turtle Wow to see what possible about new custom zones (within the original world) and custom raids/dungeons, along with class reworks that make sense. Also they have configured the itemization (not overpowered) too and added sets for different specs (soon). I don't agree with Models, i think its easy enough to have a toggle, that way you choose, in fact on TWOW i have 3 extra patches that make my model look like legions.
Personally lvl 70 is wrong (from that C+ "leak") in a lvl 1-60 vanilla Azeroth and do NOT add flying to it. What can be done is maybe some class tweaks so it's not gonna be warriors and rogues reigns supreme. Give boomkins some mana reg, same for shadow priests etc without going too crazy with the changes. Things like that. Just don't blindly trust them. Remember what they said during blizzcon announcing classic "we want to reproduce the authentic game as it were then" bs and look what we got for Classic version: Level boost, able to make 55 DK on a fresh account and above all, f-ing wow token! I'll stay sceptical optimist at best. Ohh and ofc good video. Over 82k views under 2 weeks. Well done and gratz! 1) I will play "Classic+" if they do it right. It should be done for no reason other than to bring in the interest of retail players and new gen players who cant stand what classic looks like. No to arenas from me. Of they want to do rated pvpc thes should do BG's. Arenas are the ptimary reason ehy classes in reatil all feel the same. All the balancing has to be made for arenas because you cant have classes with huge weaknesses or strenghts anymore in an arena setting.

not a bad list... it's more of a what we don't want blizz to f up video tho. I hard disagree about classes. I want wotlk style classes, balanced for lvl 60, so maybe squishing talents so you can get all of it out of 60 levels ( i've thought about a world where we start getting talents at lvl 2 ). But lets be honest. the only reason classic was a success is because blizz went with no changes. Although I wish we lived in a world where there were changes, i understand now that anything current blizz touches is ruined. they did the bare minimum for 1 life servers and destroyed HC MODE, LOLOLOL. now hc is a joke where you can use wow tokens to buy items in "hc". "Awakening" was actually a fake expansion leak on 2017. Someone reposted it as classic plus on 4chan. I am doubtful on classic plus anytime soon

No to arenas from me. Of they want to do rated pvpc thes should do BG's. Arenas are the ptimary reason ehy classes in reatil all feel the same. All the balancing has to be made for arenas because you cant have classes with huge weaknesses or strenghts anymore in an arena setting.
100%, i dont get why he wants to throw out the best thing about classic, the pvp, but he wants rated from retail? so you can tell what he likes in retail the bad pvp. moreover , no wonder he likes classic so much, classic was probably his first taste of the story in wow probably because all he does to lvl each expac is bg or dungeons, rushing to hit lvl cap, missing all the story. you know if you actually read the quests and (you know) role play a bit in the mmoROLE PLAYING GAME, its actually fun...

not a bad list... it's more of a what we don't want blizz to f up video tho. I hard disagree about classes. I want wotlk style classes, balanced for lvl 60, so maybe squishing talents so you can get all of it out of 60 levels ( i've thought about a world where we start getting talents at lvl 2 ).
But lets be honest. the only reason classic was a success is because blizz went with no changes. Although I wish we lived in a world where there were changes, i understand now that anything current blizz touches is ruined. they did the bare minimum for 1 life servers and destroyed HC MODE, LOLOLOL. now hc is a joke where you can use wow tokens to buy items in "hc".
I have my perfect idea of what classic + is... and i know the only way that world exists is if I were to make it myself. I can't make my own game, so I'm forced to live in a hell the rest of my life where all games are trash and I'll never be happy playing them. :D

People buy wow tokens on retail and wotlk. Come to hc and type un chat " trading wotlk/retail gold for Era gold". Hc servers are a better version of base game but not HC MODE servers

Simple, hours of grinding , player interaction, reward system, hours and hours of playing for 1 small thing…are some of the things that makes a MMO special and what made classic wow special and why no matter what retail final fantasy nonsense they come out with we will always go back to where things feel natural….classic plus will be coming i can feel it
Keeping classes feeling different is huge. If they over balance and make them all do sake shit then it's an epic fail and a missed opportunity
