It's a matter of opinion. People are now freer than fifty-odd years ago to dress according to their own ideas of dressing better, rather than someone else's. You're free to dress as fancily and as tastefully as you like. As I got happier with my own choices of clothing, the less distressed I became about others' choices.
Respectfully, even though, after the 19 minute mark in the video, Henderson did get the lightning round complete in 30 seconds, again respectfully, he wouldn't have if he had used single words. Using two words together TREMENDOUSLY gives one an advantage.
He often had a chuckle in his voice after some clues, when they were relevant to something previously said I've noticed. All the way from the early shows.
I've heard of Palisades, NY and Palisades Park, NJ but I can't find Palisade or Palisades NJ on the map. And I've lived all but the first 8 years of my life in that area.
Reason A. Goodwin was an inside joke ("reason a good win") and it referred to the portion of the crew who judged the results. www.imdb.com/name/nm0329539/
But Reason A. Goodwin was also the real name of a real man who really was an editor of the World Book Dictionary and really did act as the authority on Password.
Yes some people throw confetti at weddings. But I’ve yet to hear of anyone that throws candy. What a stupid contestant, he’s sees the password is confetti and gives confectionary as a clue - eejit 🙄
Love Password. Love this time, when things were simpler.
Skitch's coolness and giggle is hilarious. Smart, Confident, and a damn great musician/composer/conductor.
I think Paul Giamatti would be perfect for playing him in a movie.
i love arlene
Really like Arlene Francis. Ever since I was a little girl
First time I've seen Arlene without her heart shaped diamond pendant.
she will undoubtedly have it under her dress.
oh you're right hahahaha
Sadly she would have it stolen right off her neck in NYC in 1988 by a mugger.
Arlene always dresses so well. I wish we still dressed better. We have become too lax.

The great Santini!
confetti is a good clue for Festival. and vise versa
I think the best clue for sip is straw, especially after taste.
Faint but it almost sounded like the announcer who whispered the password "delight" tried to hold in his laughter
After Arlene said chicken, it sure sounded like someone said delight.

There is no Palisade, New Jersey. They can be wrong, you know - or given wrong info.
@@musicom67 That was my point, but I wanted to allow for the fact that I might have been wrong.
I guess for "Confetti" I might go with two clues: "Parade" and then "Paper"
pine ~Nuts (after you've established it's a tree); Chisel- Scrape + Paint
I just noticed that the girl in the yellow is on there a lot
10:44 - and now back to "TALLEN LUDDEN"... Really!!!??
It's a strong D at the end of the word before, "and". "And now back to Password and Allen Ludden."
Love these shows but hate the GSN ads at the end.
Then maybe don't watch them?
i hate the banners they flash during,

I don't like Skitch Henderson. He cheats and is pompous!
Exactly!
not only that but he's overweight
He hated you too
Then watch something else!
